Bought because the new regulations seem to indicate that stranded cables should be crimped with ferrules if they are to be inserted into screw terminals. They make a nice professional looking job but are a time consuming fiddle. I note that most manufacturers are crimping cable ends in 13 amp plugs etc so I suppose having to crimp the ends of stranded cable is something we will all have to get used to. This is probably the best tool for the job although it looks identical to some of the other offerings on Amazon that appear much cheaper. Might be 'paying for the name'.

As good as the any bootlace crimpers I've used before & also the smallest, ideal for fitting in an already full toolbag. Also they were reasonably priced at around £36 when I bought them (why are bootlace crimpers so much dearer than ordinary crimpers?) so job done...P.S. Amazon, because something gets a good review don't start putting the price up !

Good quality crimpers as you would expect from C.K. The action is very good and crimp very well, However they could label the different crimp slots a little more clearly and they are quite a bit more expensive than other crimpers of similar quality.

I bought these ages ago, before the job I am in now, which is irrelevant, but have used these crimp pliers so much and are as good as new, to buy from RS Components they would cost circa £95.00 massive saving of £60. Great

I bought one for work, since it works for 0.25 sqmm ferrules.After a couple of weeks of using it, I decided it is better than my own ferrule crimp (an RS product), so I bought one for myself.

Good enough for general use. If you do alot of panel wiring you would be wise to pay much more for a better quality, otherwise for occasional use its good value.

Great little crimpers and do all we need for small run crimping of connectors in our R&D for an electric drive we are designing for our yacht.
