After racking up countless days of game time on the original CoD4 multiplayer, I was excited to jump back into what is arguably the greatest Call of Duty game ever made. At least from a multiplayer perspective any way.The Good:1. Graphically, the game is as expected, I wouldn't say they're anything spectacular, but it's a definite upgrade from the original.2. The multiplayer gameplay is great, just as I remembered it, there hasn't been any major changes on this front, which is definitely a good thing. It will take some getting used to if you've been playing the newer Call of Dutys, but it is certainly worth readjusting for.The Bad:1. At the time of writing, the player base seems to have dropped off somewhat. It can be nigh on impossible to get into some game modes, such as Sabotage or Headquarters.2. The fact that Activision are charging for maps which were introduced as add-ons with the original game is beyond me. Not only is this greedy, but it splits the player base up and is one of the reason you will struggle to find a match on some of the game modes as mentioned in my previous point.Overall:The game is still great and if you liked the original CoD4, you'll almost certainly put in a number of hours, or even days playing this game online once again. Now that the price has dropped to around £17, there is no reason not to buy. Just watch out for those campers ;)Please let me know if you found this review helpful by clicking the button below. I never got to play the original Modern Warfare Games and instead played BO2 and BO1.After playing this I wished I had :).The game is a love letter to FPS and COD fans with one of the best COD campaigns of all time. The game is so crisp its ridiculous , the graphics paint a picture of what a remastered game should be on all future gen consoles and the PS4 for years to come. The multiplayer is exceptional , apart from Martyrdom ,Juggernaut and M16 campers but their few and far between , the maps are fantastic and Shipment , Domination is arguably the most fun multiplayer experience any COD game can offer. The Depot was implemented superbly , common supply drops are superb value (10 Keys)for the fact that even if you get a duplicate you get parts which mean you'll eventually be able to unlock anything you want .Guns are balanced and any gun can easily drop you .The fact this game did so well should signal to Activision to a) Sell standalone or packaged remastered b) Continue to remaster classic CODs such as MW2 , MW3 , BO1 and BO2Conclusion : Boots on the ground brilliance , superb multiplayer , immersive campaign with characters you'll become attached too .The most fun you can have on PS4 when it comes to Call of Duty.

I'm torn with this game/item. I really want to give it 2.5/3 stars for the fact I'm paying £30 for a game I paid £30 for around 10/11 years ago. But I'll persevere with reviewing the item as it stands. The reduction of a star is down to the price for the game and the fact that additional maps in the original expansion packs are being charged as extra - it's like 2006 all over again. However, as soon as you open a level or a multiplayer map you realise why you took the plunge and bought it again anyway. It's frankly the best COD they've ever produced, I'm instantly transported back to the days of playing this with friends every day for over a year. The upgraded graphics are superb and maps I remember well are in a totally different light. The additional graphics on bullet casings raining down or air strike afterburners etc. are great, and I'm actually quite happy about the additional 'Depot' in Multiplayer adding a new touch to an old product. All-in-all, I'm glad it's back!

Bought this a few weeks ago, just as good as the original. Don't believe the negative reviews they have done an absolutely INCREDIBLE job rebuilding this game, okay the addition of new guns in multiplayer via DLC is unnecessary but most people don't have those guns anymore. 99% of people are using the base guns and it plays exactly the same as the original. The story mode deserves credit all on its own, graphically it looks stunning, absolutely stunning. Built from the ground up anyone who was a veteran on this game needs to buy it again, I done the original 10 prestiges back in the day and I've found myself completely addicted again. There really aren't any significant weaknesses to the game,it's pretty much the same as it was back in the day, as I said before anyone on the fence just take the hit and buy this, especially if you're from the old generation of players, you wont be disappointed!

It's a classic. It may be the best shooter of all time. I've been playing FPS games since Doom came out on the PC and what can I say apart from: buy it. Just, buy it. Even if you're a Battlefield fan, just do yourself a favour and buy it. For what it is (a fast paced, action-packed, rollercoaster ride of a game) it's fantastic. The price is near enough a giveaway. The visuals are beautiful, the sound is crisp and the gameplay is ....well, lush (yes, I cringed writing that too). But seriously, the whole game is just a love letter to FPS fans. Multiplayer is as good as ever and as you can see, i've got nothing bad to say. Sure, there could have been more maps, but even so, it's a near-perfect FPS.Enjoy!

I got this with infinite warfare so I essentially paid £70 just for this game. Do I regret it? No. The game is exactly how I remember cod4 10 years ago, except for being graphically better in every way. The developers are constantly adding things to keep it alive as well, and whilst the new weapons you can unlock do take it away from being cod4, it's not a bad thing, if I wanted just cod4 I could turn my ps3 on. The extra weapon camos are a bit much like but I don't use them really.I would urge people to stop whining about the price of this as their only review, I imagine you're the same people who will happily pay £30 for crash bandicoot remastered.. how ironic.FYI that games also Activision

This review is based on the Game & is not an angry rant about how they made you pay a lot of money for the twin set with Infinate Warfare. I chose to wait as it was clearly going to get it's own release in the future & I'm glad I waited & I was happy to pay the price I did to get an actual physical copy of a game I love. I'm also a single player gamer, so I buy games for the story line not the online play & the story of the single player mode is arguably the greatest story in a first person shooter in the last decade that has been very hard to top. I re-play this so much I'm thrilled to have a re-mastered version to play. A must have for any fans of the original.

On the good side, the picture quality is great in both games, the infinite warfare is like call of duty joins up with Halo 4 and IRobot. They did not spoil it with to many gadgets which makes it a great game but there are times when knowing where to go next is as clear as mud, which results in getting killed a lot. Modern warfare 4 remastered has lots of added on action and better picture which makes it even better to play and its still one of the best call of duty ever made. The only bad thing is how long it takes to download the needed content, at least six hours for me without playing any games while I did it.

I didn't know what to expect. I've not been online gaming for several years now since MW3 on PS3, so when I saw this was being re-released & updated I relented finally & went for it. I've not been disappointed, aside from the fact that you have to pay to play multiplayer now. I whacked £20 into the wallet & got started. After many severe whoopings i'm getting back into the groove with my M60, & enjoying the odd snipe. This is as good as it gets. Unfortunately my once cat-like reflexes have not stood the test of time as well as this game has. Roll on MW2...again!

This is by far my favourite COD, simply because the single player mode is so much fun, with great characters, like Captain Price. I ran through it and got the bronze trophy’s on recruit to begin with. Then eventually I went for the silver trophies on Veteran, some were very hard to achieve. And brother, you better get ready if you think you can topple the “Mile High Club” and “Best of the best”. Overall, I prefer COD like this before they focused too much on online features, which never appealed to me, and as someone who refuses to pay for online content.

First review ever. Just here to right some wrongs. Ignore the reviews telling you to get the legacy edition. Unlike Xbox One, legacy edition on ps4 mw remastered is a download code so you can only play it if you buy it new. You cannot get the game for cheaper than £35. When you sell this game however it will allow others to play used, unlike legacy which you'll only get infinite warfare price.. who wants that rubbish with it? Worst COD ever. MW remastered very good game, best COD available and nostalgic but should be cheaper. Hence 4 stars.

Call of Duty 4 was in my opinion and many others was one of the best games out there at the time. Years later I always wanted a remaster, at the time of saying it I would of paid a fair amount for it to happen.Just prior of its release people were buzzing for it. Now its out everyone is slating it mainly because of price. Its certainly worth it for £35, still a mega game both story & online. They've added playlists to it which make it more fun.Put it this way, its roughly the cost of 4, large, burger king meals.

Wow. I totally loved this game back on the PlayStation 3 and now it’s been remastered for the PS4 with virtually the same gameplay. The game was the first in the Call of Duty range that had been improved upon over the last 10 years, but the original are always simpler and better yet not to say this game will be easy to complete. If you are a next generation COD player or veteran this game I a must have and great value for money. Highly recommend you purchase before this game sells of the shelf.

I got my new game home after picking up in store. I unpacked the box and loaded up the disc. I had to wait a little while for the server to perform updates but when the game was finally ready to play it lived up to all my expectations. The graphics and game play were great and there is loads of opportunity to play with friends on different formats. All in all the the game plays great and I'm happy with my purchase. The Argos people in store were helpful and I was in and out within 5 minutes.

On face value this game is always how it should of been. The updates graphics and mechanics make this game a different animal. Game play on the campaign was smooth and semi gripping like any good call of duty. Graphics where nicely polished but still kept their nostalgia of a COD, that grainy look and Granades where slow and clumsy to throw. The multiplayer has been ruined by the new COD and the camping is rifee! 7/10 great game for campaign great game for you and your friends.
