I bought this on a lighting deal and wondered if I would regret it. I drink Scottish Whisky and consider myself to be a little bit of a connoisseur. This clear whisky was first made (or mashed!) 200 years ago in Kentucky and was drunk straight from the still. Some will see this as moonshine, although at 62.5% proof it is not quite the genuine article. To taste this is is overpoweringly of alcohol but that is not surprising given the history of it being drunk straight from the still - that means that it is not been matured, aged or flavoured in any way. I diluted it with a wee bitty water (as I believe all whisky ought to be) and that brought out what flavour there is and that is predominantly of sweet corn. This is not surprising given the basic ingredient. Although this has a very harsh alcohol and taste if you can work through that you will (I hope!) finally taste the sweet corn notes at the finish but beware it takes a of work!https://www.amazon.co.uk/White-Dog-Mash-Whisky-37-5/dp/B004KQ7KKS/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?s=watch&ie=UTF8&qid=1499625541&sr=8-1&keywords=White+Dog+Mash+Whisky

White Dog is essentially an AKA for Moonshine, a traditional home-brew whisky, typically made from corn, from the Southern states of America. Having sampled quite a few Moonshine derivatives in my time I found this to be very clean finishing and very strong! It represents it's genre well but lacks only through it's sophistication - an unusual criticism, I agree. What I mean by this is that it is so well produced, and no doubt consistent in it's brewing, that it doesn't, for me, feel authentic to the roots of such an iconic whisky. It's not meant to be this well polished. That said, it will still knock your boots off and have you singing "The night they drove ol' Dixie down" at the top of your voice at 2am in your back yard.So don't be put off. When it comes to commercially available Moonshines, this is one of the best. Another favourite of mine is 'Georgia Moon' which has lemon drop and peach varieties too.

Oh good grief. The fact this is legal shows how much is wrong with this world. Honestly, if the smell doesn't make you re-consider your life choices the taste of it most definitely will. I once felt like I could pass your average IQ test, but having drank some of this neat, I am not even sure I can spell eye-queue any more.I write this as a public health warning, I am not a Docter but I do know this concoction will shorten your lifespan. There should be laws, rules, regulations and active military intervention to protect our delicate sensibilities from such potent poison. The meer existent of such a beverage proves we are over the evolutionary pinnacle and are now heading down the other side....Image is the Amazon Delivery, please ensure you are in to sign for it.

this is an unaged multi-grain still spirit, in the American tradition.absolutely brilliant, if you are prepared to embrace liquor that has not sat in wood for years this is for you.lovely, lively, sweet and sour while maintaining a balance and smoothness that allows this to be sipped. if you cut it with anything other than h2o you will miss its subtle warming after-tones. and this will warm you all the way through.nice corked bottle, which contributes to the experience, which is best shared.

After trying my first Moonshine a week ago, I decided to try this more potent offering. It didn't disappoint.Very nice taste, with a slight burn. It follows up with a very strong kick, and SHOULD NOT be drank irresponsibly.A must, if you want as near a true experience of Moonshine, as you'll get within uk rules.Only negative thing I can say, is that the bottle could have been 70cl, as 35cl is a little small for what you have to pay.But product is definitely worth a try.

I simply love it, I love Moonshine!! am happy that Moonshine is able to buy on Amazon UK and also having the relying ability to buy the bottles. White Dog Mash is less of a strong smell and the taste of the shine weather neat or mixed is truly delightful to drink. yes it's high for 62.5% but' wow. it's worth buying and a good solid price of £25.99 is worth it. I have brought this bottle twice and will buy more this year 2017!

This isn't old stinking whiskey that taste of a burnt barrel, this is the closest you'll get to a true spirit flavour, I've tried all the rest available online and here, most taste of heads or usually bland and tailsy, even Sutton s which was shock. Smokey comes second after this regarding moonshine authenticity. I actually stopped distilling since white dog became available.

This will knock your socks off but also not taste like a novelty shot. It's much sweeter than I was expecting (I'm guessing from the corn) and I really enjoyed it.I am a big fan of Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare so it was really interesting to taste what's essentially an un-aged version. I'm going to try more white dogs and moonshines after this

This was a gift so I have asked the happy recipient for his opinion. For a mad high strength alcohol this was okay. It didn't taste particularly nice and it didn't blow his head off. It was a bit meh apparently. Sigh, some people are hard to please.

The Distillation of this isn't great so not as smooth proper brands like Firefly so you get your throat burnt out when you swig, which is a funky experience not sure its a pleasant one though. But we are talking about Moonshine not a Cola

if you are a fan of moonshinners on sky tv like i am then you will like this as i do,its got a very nice flavour and kick, just avoid driving next day if you have a good one as its 125 proof could hang around abit...

Unique taste if u are used to buffalo bourbon fierce burn with sweet corn hit and a tang of rye delicious smell costly but as a different tester for bourbon drinkers nice talking point and a rare sipping treat

First moonshine I've tried and I really enjoyed it. First sip was a bit harsh but got used to it and after that it was surprisingly smooth. Quite strong so had to wash it down with a Jim Beam chaser.

Was not sure what to expect from this but was presently surprised, you can smell the corn & taste it is made from.Needs to be consumed in small amounts though not a large glass..

Best moonshine around . I have a half a shot with vim, fanta or sprite in a pint glass. Do not drive if you have drunk this the night before. Its very strong but very good.
