I was first given a bottle of this from a friend who works in the drinks industry. It is honestly one of the most incredible spirits i have ever tasted. Incredibly smooth and balanced, big toffee, butterscotch and fruit on the nose with a long longering maple vanilla finish.If you like premium bourbons or cognac you will love this - for the money it blows similarly priced booze clean out the water.buy it. you will not be disappointed.

Excellent sipping rum, very happy to stumble across it. My favoured sipping tipple is Zacapa, but at £100 a bottle, this proves to be a great substitution. I disagree with other reviews in that one block of ice left to melt is the way to go. The smells and taste are definitely improved. Just ordered two more bottles for the winter.

Absolutely wonderful sipping Rum, full of flavours. Not quite a 5/5 but not far of it. Best to let it breathe for a while, in fact, after the first 1/4 bottle or so, the flavour seemed to mellow and improve. Rum can be weird like that sometimes.

Great tasting rum but if you do order from this page you won’t get the DOBLEMENTE version which is advertised ,you’ll get the GRAN RESERVA 1888 as I’ve just received the item now and was disappointed

Smooth sipping rum. Best enjoyed at room temperature after allowing 10 minutes to breath. Light vanilla and oak undertones with caramel finish. Nice enough to join the permanent collection.

The ultimate sipping rum. Well rounded sweetness, with a super interesting spicey note and lush toffee and vanilla finish. For me, a rum old fashioned with this is the dream!

I loved the flavour and just enough bite to it. Price is outrageous seeing as how dirt cheap it is where it is manufactured. Someone is making a lot of money on this rum...

This is one of the best rums around, not widely known about but it is superb, a perfect balance of taste and texture, the perfect sipping rum to enjoy after a busy day.

This rum is smooth, flavoursome and is a pleasure to sip. It needs nothing but a glass to put it in. I will definitely be buying another bottle of this.

Outstanding rum. First tried this when in Madrid and bought a bottle I was that impressed. Wonderful sipping rum with flavours that stay with you.

The longer you let it breathe the better it gets, neat, no water, no ice, just an hour or so sitting in the glass.
