This is a very pretty palette that contains good quality eye shadows in a lovely range of colours. However, I really struggled to open the box, because the little round 'pill' at the top threw me - it wouldn't move in or out, and yet I couldn't get the tin open. It was only when I held the tin up to the light that I realised that a very thin, translucent piece of tape held the top and bottom together. Unfortunately, the tape is very sticky and hard to get off, and, it leaves a very sticky residue which not only spoiled the appearance of the top (lint/hair/dirt clung to it and it took quite a lot of rubbing with fingers, followed by tissue, to remove it all)

This Bourjois palette is a very well designed product, with innovative packaging. The plastic casing has a small circle in the centre of the top edge and this works as a base for the mirrored top to be able to pivot on. The mirror is a great size, taking up this top half of the packaging, and so is a great alternative to having to carry a small mirror with you or rely on finding a bathroom if you want to touch up your makeup throughout the day. The fastening here is a magnet, meaning that it is not likely to accidentally unclip in your bag and risk spillage.The eyeshadows within are a range of shades- 4 brownish tones (one very dark), a white, green, blue and purple.

This handy little bag-friendly compact contains a great mixture of colours for the discerning individual that likes nude and smokey tones.I didn’t initially see the clear safety tape holding it shut so wondered why it was putting up a fight. But even after taking that off I did still find that it wasn’t the most easy case to open as there isn’t much to get your fingers onto. There is a small magnet helping to keep the lid closed as well, which is reassuring to make sure it doesn’t open in your bag, although it is possible to twist the lid even in ‘closed’ position. I’m not sure if I like the colour of the case itself as it makes it look a little cheap - although I realise it is ‘nude’ coloured

My wife gave this palette a go, and was reasonably impressed.“This consists of a lovely palette of shimmery eye-shadows, a small double ended sponge applicator and a very impressive mirror.I was very pleased that the mirror can be totally turned around so it is facing the other way, and that you can angle the mirror to your specifications.For me, the colours in this set are really more suitable for night time than during the day; the white and the grey are the only ones that I would feel happy wearing to work, and that would be for highlighting.You can apply the shadow quite thickly for a more dramatic look. I found that I had only a little thinning of the colour over the course of the evening,

Who doesn't love a cute little makeup compact?This black plastic palette comes with a mobile mirrored lid (a decent size too), 8 coordinating shadows and a brush. Super cute packaging! You get 4.5g of product in 8 smoky shades. There is a cream, light silver, dark silver, blue/black, glittery blue/black, glittery pink/black, gold glitter/black, dark grey. Perfect for trying a darker, sultry look.I'm a fan of Bourjois cosmetics - I love their liquid concealer, foundation and blusher - they are a great drug store brand who produce make up in many tones and shades, particularly in foundations, and at fair prices. I like this little palette too; the colours all coordinate and they blend fairly well,

I really like how this little compact works - very handy lid swivels and pivots to help you get the best lighting and view. I usually throw away the little applicators with foam tips, but the one in here is definitely a better quality than most, so I have been using it.There is a great range of colours of eye shadow and some are delightfully sparkly. I found that applying them with a damp brush worked the best to get a nice dense colour, and it also helped to stop the sparkle wandering... when I put the sparkly ones on dry my whole face ended up sparkling!! I had to use tissue under my eye to catch the sparkle dust. Not a huge problem, but a little silly!The compact is on the larger side,

I can't explain enough how much I love this pallet. I am a big fan of dark and deep colours as my eyes are light brown so they stand out with them. I especially tend to go for blues and colours with a little shimmer in them. This pallet is perfect for me . The colours are bold and thick when applied , they also have a nice variety from a few shades of blue to purple , gold and black. I like the variation of this pallet as the colours all compliment each other really well, One of my favourite things is the mirror as it turns 360 degrees and closes with a magnetic lid. I was so impressed with the case and quality of the eye shadows and keep using it everyday .

This is like finding a very old friend. I used a palette of Bourjois shadows in almost these exact shades as a teen, back when the side flick of eyeliner was first in fashion for me. I'm doing my makeup just like I did as a teen and it's all back on trend and I adore it! This palette has a useful sized mirror that's almost big enough to do a full makeup in a pinch. It also twists so that you can get the angle right. The applicator is the standard. Throw it away and get the brushes out. You can shade and highlight perfectly with these colours, and they lend themselves to dramatic liners very well. Best of all this has lasted through a hayfever day in a garden centre in 27 degree heat.

I was asked if I’d like to review the Bourjois Eye-catching Nude Palette, 1 g, Nudes, and I said yes.The company states that the eye shadows lasts up to twelve hours.This is a lovely little eye shadow set, which comes in a lovely nude plastic case. There’s a mirror in the lid which you can turn a full 360 degrees, you get eight different eye shadows, and comes with a double ended, soft foam applicator.You’ll find that the eye shadows have different textures, which are satin, ultra pearly, pearly and sparkle, iridescent and four matte finishes.The eye shadows are nice, soft and easy to blend.Therefore, if you want to wear just one eye shadow or blend them together for your own look,

A Bourjois eyeshadow palette for less than £10 is an absolute bargain.This palette is excellent for travelling, as the compact design is so secure. Once you've figured out just how to open it, it's really well designed. The lid slides to one side and there's a good sized mirror in the lid. I doubt very much that the hinges will break, which is something that happens so often with the traditional style palettes.I really like the colours in this one, ranging from a pale whitish, right through to a very dark grey with blues, greys and purples in between. The colour is quite vivid and a little bit more shimmery than I expected, but once you've worked out just how much to apply, it's fine.The colour lasts well,

It is impossible to give anything less than five stars for this fabulous eyeshadow palette from Bourjois. For the first time ever I can wear every shade in this ingenious little palette. Ranging from snowy white to smoky grey these shadows glide on the eye easily, blend well and best of all last all day.The palette itself is smart, fits into my make up bag nearly and the mirror is so handy and is even in a swivel so you can tilt different angles to get the best view of your eye when applying the eyeshadow. There is a little brush with double ended sponge applicators which work well but I prefer my own eyeshadow brush.Absolutely brilliant value for money and I wish I could give ten stars,

This neat little case of coloured eye shadow fits perfectly in a small bag, making it ideal for every day use. The colours are 'autumnal' so perfect for this time of year (October/November) and are of a good enough quality to last whilst looking good. This is an ideal stocking filler or extra present for someone with a birthday coming up, of perhaps something to buy yourself as an addition to your ever growing collection of make up.The case itself is really tough and would cope with being dropped (I know as I dropped it onto the kitchen floor without any problem) or even sat upon if you slide it into your back pocket.The ease of application and the lovely colours make this well worth five

This Nude Palette provides 8 different colours, including 4 matte shades, a pearl and a sparkly shade which can be blended for various effects, as well as a highlighter shade for the corners, along with a nice quality brush to apply them.The case has a sturdy clip which keeps it closed when out and about and a good sized rectangle mirror to help apply the eye shadow when on the move. The top of the case with the mirror can swivel for different angles, which my wife found useful.The quality, when applied, is great and seems to last quite a while (though we can't attest to the full 12 hours). My wife especially loved the sparkly shade to add something a little different when it catches the

This is a neat small compact which fits comfortably in your palm when in use, a little mirror fully inside the lid (not magnifying) and a small sponge applicator.They're best applied with small quantities frequently - helps minimise the powder fall. There's a good range of neutrals which helps if blending. One colour (the rosy bronze sixth colour in) is high sparkle and some are quite shimmery. A few more matt finishes would be useful. Also, the colours are all in one pan which means you can blend easily but expect a bit of powder fall if working between colours.This palette is enough for a weekend away and certainly a useful handbag set for a party evening out.

From my wife - I love this palette and I am loving the Bourjois range at the moment. The colours in this palette are brilliant for my colouring (red hair but blonde skin tones if you know what I mean) and excellent for taking your look from day to night.The little brush is ok if you need to update your look whilst you are out and about, but as always this applies better with proper brushes. Really good quality case and mirror and I think the pigment powders themselves are great quality - no flaking over the cheeks when you apply, no irritation of my skin, and they stay on my face a long time. Amazingly nice selection at a great price.
