Only 15 years ago, the most I ever paid was £100 - for Bunnahabhain 1966 30 year old. I tremble to think of its glory. Macallan 18 year old was around £80. Signatory 20 year old plus £60 upwards - many Clynelish were consumed.. Rare Malt Casks around £70 - Glen Mhor and Inchgower were standouts. Gordon & MacPhail aged Longmorn at unbelievable prices. SMWS releases also wonderful. Those days are gone, gone, gone. So if you want those sort of memories, try this one. Blair Athol is an absolute standout distillery and massively underrated. This bottle is how it used to be......the distillery has put all their craft into making joy....
