Had this trimmer for 6 years (the black one in the pictures - model e845) until recently the battery died. On replacing it I decided to give it a go with a Philips 5000 instead but after trying I regretted it, sent it back and got the Babyliss e848 (the white one in the pictures) which is very similar to the one listed here on Amazon.The motor:The Philips 5000 indeed has a more powerful motor than the Babyliss. However that not only makes the Philips much more noisy than the Babyliss, but it also makes it project stubble everywhere. You might shave faster, but you end up waking up your partner and spending the time cleaning the stubble from every little corner.
