I had overlooked reviewing this knife, but after a few years of domestic use this review should be useful. Both this and the 10cm shorter version have only been used in a domestic kitchen, never been in a dishwasher and carefully cared for. I noticed that one of the black handle side plates on the 10cm knife had cracked through to the tang over and above a rivet. A couple of months later I noticed the same problem with the 13cm knife, Henckels agreed to replace both so all's well. Both knives are used almost daily, they retain their edge and perform very well, I must add that I know how careful I've been with them, so I'm not sure how long they would last in a professional setting,

I already have a few of these Professional 'S' knives including the smaller version of this paring knife. It's four years since I bought the first and I have been adding to my collection since then. This is well-balanced and comfortable to use for chopping and paring. An excellent additon to my range of kitchen Knives.
