What a knife. EXTREMELY sharp, nicely balanced, so beautifully easy to use. I now have four Zwilling J A Henckels kitchen knives (this one, a santoku, a small paring knife, and a bread knife) and they're all excellent. 'Pro' Tip: If you're going for a magnetic wall strip, get one that's all wood on the outside to avoid accidental damage to the cutting edge when placing (as might happen if there's a metal strip for it to 'bang' against).

As an engineer by profession (amateur cook) I know that a knife is all about the blade, and the blade is all about the steel. I knew from independent reviews that this steel was good. I wasn't prepared for how beautiful this knife is. An extemely well finished product. A real pleasure to use. I hope that the edge survives its first sharpening (with an engineer's care).

There's a reason that Henckels is one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the world; they know exactly what they're doing. I've been using their products for nearly twenty years and have never had cause to complain. The Professional "S" range is particularly good; well balanced, sturdy with a fantastic edge. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Simply a joy to use. It's a very traditional knife, with a good, heavy weight, but it is perfectly balanced. I have average sized hands and it is very comfortable to hold and use. It's also quite amazingly sharp - sharper than most razors you will find in supermarkets!A knife that will last decades if well cared for.

I’ve bought various knives over the years and this is the one I always go back to. Nicely balanced and can do a whole meal with just this one knife. Steel is good , but not too hard - so you get a good balance between edge retention and ease of sharpening.For the home user - this is a perfect multi-purpose knife.

This is my 2nd one.Bought it because I got on so well with the first which I had quite a long time until the blade crack inside the handle finally got too wobbly.Nearly lost a few fingers the first day of using the new one!

Not a chef but do like to cook. What a knife!!A knife like this one is expensive at first look but makes everything easier and if you take care of it it will last you a life time.

Great knife which arrived far quicker than the estimated time. Knife is sharp and well balanced. Far cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

Great knife !! I use it daily its my favourite... The Pro s series is so much better than the series made in Spain or china ...

Great quality. I have about 10 knives of various sizes in this series. They're great. The only drawback is their fragility.

It was a replacement for a knife that i already had previously which broke. So far I have no complaints.

Very nice to use, lovely weight and easy to sharpen withe the rather neat sharpener they recommend.

Bought this for my husband as a surprise for Christmas. He loves it! Expensive but well worth it!
