Loved this game. I had previously played the "Old Blood" part of the previous game of this serious and loved it also. This one is even better and definitely one of the best FPS I ever played. The pros:- the story is good and tight, the characters are three-dimensional, well created and appealing (at least for a videogame - don't expect Dostoyevsky);- playability is very good, the world you enter feels alive and not just there waiting to react to what you do;- graphics are top notch (seem to be even much better on the PS4 Pro, judging from Youtube videos); and the game flows very smoothly except for a couple of parts where the fps slowed down a bit, but nothing terrible;- it has a nice and balanced comic relief throughout the game, which keeps it from becoming to dense and serious;- good balance between action and exploring;- diversified and fun to use guns and other equipment- the levels are diversified and long enough for the game to feel satisfying, but not so long that it becomes boring- fast loading times and you can save whevenever you want (I'm not very into checkpoint-based games);- gore, swastikas and nasty words galore - which makes this game a gem for those of us who are not into politically correct drivel. The cons (non of which very serious, really)::- it's not open-world in a day and age when open-world is THE thing; what happens is you start noticing that anything you do will eventually lead you to the same places to do exactly the same things with the same results, so if feels a bit dated in that regard;- difficulty levels are not well balanced between levels - I initially chose the 2nd hardest level and this was both piece of cake in some leves and ridiculously hard in others (this difference would be only natural if it wasn't sooo dilated);- it has some sloppy bugs, like enemies that freeze in the air after you kill them or pieces of the ground or walls that go flashing for no reason, and these things are obvious bugs that should have been fixed (not so terrible that detracts you from the game, but definitely the worst bugs I've ever seen in a PS4 game).I would definitely recommend playing this if you're into traditional FPS nazi-killing gorefest adventures.

This game is a great game to play on this systemHere are some facts about it1. Roll call. He might be in a wheelchair at the start of the game, but that won’t limit BJ Blazkowicz. “The way the player controls the wheelchair is very important to us,” says Executive Producer Jerk Gustafsson. “You can move forward. You can roll backward. You can roll to the side. You can even strafe in the wheelchair. You have full control of this vehicle and, of course, you can shoot and use grenades as well.”2. Step up. OK, maybe there are some limitations, like starting out with a maximum of 50 health (rather than the customary 100). And it’s not so easy to roll up stairs, for example. But that’s where clever level design comes in.From conveyor belts to massive rotating cogs, Eva’s Hammer has all kinds of alternates to the standard staircase. “Obviously, steps or ladders are very difficult if you’re in a wheelchair,” Gustafsson says. “But we have a lot of different ways of getting around, which I think are super fun and entertaining.”3. Unbreakable. Having BJ start The New Colossus in a wheelchair isn’t just a nod to his condition coming out of the previous game. It also shows Blazkowicz’s indomitable spirit. “Even though BJ is severely injured and broken, you never break him mentally,” Gustafsson says. “He always gets things done.”4. Partners. Anya is also back, and now she’s pregnant with twins. But that won’t stop her from being a total badass. We get a glimpse of this at the end of Reunion (the first mission), when Anya extricates BJ from a sticky situation by shooting a Nazi solider in the back of his head. “In the first game, Anya always wanted to fight the Nazis, but she didn’t know how,” says Creative Director Jens Matthies. “Then this warrior came into her life and she was able to learn from BJ – learn to do the things she wanted to do. In this game, Anya’s goals are realized. There is a lot of badassery in this one.”And finally the very last fact, I never actually played this game and all the facts above I just copied and pasted of the Bethesda website10/10 MASTAPIECE

Bought this second instalment from this classic’s reboot-series after I found the first to be far more entertaining than i’d expected. Not quite as solid as that first instalment in some small areas. In The New Order, Anya was kick-ass and a rebellion against those who expect a fragile & flowery femininity in a game’s female characters. She made co-badass Blazkowicz look like a comparative sissy in that game. In The New Colossus, however, she was more often found whimpering concerns to William than taking part in the action. Additionally, the achievements (known as ‘trophies’ to us PS gamers) were a little more taxing to achieve. In all other areas though, it equalled its predecessor. Great guns, brilliant story, and a superb opportunity (once more) to take it to the Nazis, but in more new and well-imagined locations. You can barely take a step without needing to expend serious bullets in an adrenaline inducing enemy-fest of a game.

Single-player only first-person shooter (FPS) games with an actual story are very rare these days, but Wolfenstein II proves they are still relevant. It's not the longest game out there, but it was nice playing a game that won't take 100+ hours to finish for a change. The Ubercommando side missions just feel like they're there to keep the game going for longer, but at least they're optional and aren't required for the main story. There are also no lootboxes, microtransactions or tacked-on multiplayer/co-op which is increasingly rare in today's games. Looking forward to Wolfenstein III. Still have the story DLCs to go until then though.Update: The three story DLCs (downloadable content)are okay but there's not much of a story in all three. I would wait until they're in a sale before playing them. Unlike the main game they also use animated images with voiceovers in place of the cutscenes.

Ignore the usual one star reviews from the whingers with crap broadband. This is a fantastic sequel to New Order. It's running on a new engine, the graphics are superb running on a GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM, a massive improvement over the last two games (New Order & Old Blood). The excellent atmosphere has been retained and ramped up a notch, moody, dark and tense. The gameplay is once again a mix of stealth and full on 'balls to the wall' action. Knowing when to employ which approach is key to making smooth progress. The weapons range is excellent, level design is top notch and the cutscenes are entertaining and do a great job of fleshing out the characters. If you're a fan of old school story driven FPS games then you can't go wrong with this series. I haven't reached the end yet but I really hope it ends with the possibility of a third.

Awesome game. Really enjoyable. The excellent story really sucks you in. Some plot twists are right out there but hey, its science fiction. The length of the game is quite impressive. At least three times I thought i was in the final throws of the game. Then it picks up again! I love that about this game. Congrats to the Bethesda. There are a lot of big titles who could learn a lot from this. (I'm looking at you EA. Greedy blighters). I was out to buy a game and thought the Star Wars game was for me. They want money for the game and money to play (look it up). I chose Wolfenstein and am so glad I did. If you like shooters this is a treat if a little gory. No problems playing on my PC. Old i7,16gb ram and GTX870.You will not regret buying this.

The Wolfie games are all great, still playing the first one, Return To Castle Wolfie (arrived on 3 CD's, no Steam etc) but times change, games have become huge downloads (a pain for those with poor broadband speeds) but no one would want the crappy graphics of the first game, would they? I've been enjoying the pre-sale video clips of the game and as soon as it came down to £19.50, I bought it. I'm playing at the easiest setting for the first run and it's a hoot, just love the whole Wolfenstein atmosphere and action. Did I expect the game to arrive on 11 DVD's? No, and all those whining about this in the reviews need to get real and accept that the days of being able to download a game on acouple of CD's or DVD's disappeared a long time ago.

Takes a few hours to download the game, well worth the wait, a very enjoyable game. Great graphics, balanced gameplay, lots of weapons and not-entirely-stupid AI and lots of side missions make this a good Xmas shooter :-) My only gripe is that it does suffer the odd crash, no obvious reason for it, but you can save the game at any time by pressing F5, so no loss. Looks lovely in 4k, just make sure you don't enable vsync, otherwise you'll be in for a slideshow (1 FPS vs. 60 FPS via a checkbox option) The humour is great, I had a giggle fit when Adolf Hitler was the Casting Director for a propaganda film, making Simon Cowell's put-downs look rather tame in comparison :)

Excellent game if a little short. Picks up really well from the previous game (although you don't necessarily have to have played the previous games to enjoy this one) story line is engaging and moves at pace. Game play is as brutal as usual and be aware the game is ultra gory right from the off - it holds no punches. The game can be a little glitchy to start so I suggest going online and making sure that your system is set up properly for it and also unless you have an uber gaming machine make sure other background programs are turned off before you play it.

so fair so good game looks stunning and plays very well at 1440p with rx vega 56 is so much overkill as i have everthing maxed out and getting 142 fps max that drops as low as 132fps . one bad point is amd card wont let me cap at 75fps as thats what my monitor is.the game is blood and more blood amazing story and funny as well what more can you wont much better then i hoped.Glade to see that they put in the effort into the single player as thats all you get baby

Open world this is not, in fact its pretty much an on rails shooter but a fine example of one.Excellent technical performance on a mid range PC, i5 + 1060 gtx allows me to get 60+ fps on maximum settings. No crashes.Nice graphics, but with its gritty setting you couldn't call it pretty. Its throw back old style shooter with lots of ammo, health lying around but this offers a strong single player experience with a strong story.Well worth a look.

I love the new renditions of the old Wolfenstein games and the latest installment in the series is no different. It plays the same as the others in the series so you're guaranteed frantic shoot outs with Uber Nazis and even more sneaking around to execute those sneaky Officers but this time set in the good old USA, or part of the Reich as it has now become.I won't mention the story but it's good and the characters and characterisations are enjoyable.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is a fantastic single-player shooter, but what really got me invested was the brilliantly written characters and the performances of its cast. BJ and his crew are full of spirit and personality, and General Engel is as memorable a nemesis as you’re likely to find in games. Machine Games has once again turned the well-worn act of mowing down Nazis into something to get excited about. 9.1 on ign.

10.3.2018

Game it self is good and fun but it have its flaws. First thing is that its difficulity level differs from level to level. In general its not difficult but from time to time you will have places that are extremly difficult even on easy. Second thing its short. You can add 2-3 more hours of game play in ubercomando mode but its re playing maps you already played on.

15.4.2019

how you like to play games will determine your enjoyment with this game, it can be played slow but its clearly not meant for that.you're an unstoppable killing machine with an arsenal of weaponry, jump around every room and make the most of all your weapons. it can be a lot of fun.the story could have been improved.
