My partner brought this for me Christmas 2009 and I absolutley love it.In the box you get 2 pedometers and the ds game. The pedometers come so you can either just put them in your pocket or can attach a clip to the pack and wear them on your trousers. You wear your pedometer each day and it counts your steps taken. It comes with 2 so you are able to play with friends or family and you can buy extra pedometers and have up to four players at one time. You also have the option of attaching it to your dog though i am not sure how effective this would be lol.You set your pedometer up for your target amount of steps for the next day and away you go.The pedometer light will flash red until your your step target is reached and it will then turn to green. The pedometer holds our data for up to a month so you do not have to update eveyday though I find it best to if you want to stay motivated. When you update your steps you link to pedometer to your ds through infared once your steps are on the console you have the choice of extra features to do with them these include walk the world where your steps go to 'walking the world' and unlocking different pictures from various countrys. Or illuminate where your steps go to lighting up a little village they are just small features for added entertainment.Every day you are also set a challenge for the next day such as have time for you or move more and then you answer whether you have completed that task the next day. You are then asked to answer how that day has been for you in different faces. Your data is then saved and you can look back and see whether you have met your target on each day green face mean met red face means not met.It is simple yet i find it motivating myself and my boyfriend have competitions to see who can walk the most in aday (sadly he usually wins as his job is more physical than mine but this has only pushed me to move more) The only downside is that you have to link it to ds to see how close to your target you are.I set my target at 9000 steps per day and since December have managed to loose 1stone just through walking extra I wear mine everyday as it's discreet enough no one else has to know your wearing it not like some hearty pedometers I have seen before. It's simple yet brilliant.

I'll admit I got this an impulse buy just to see how many steps I was actually doing, but it's almost become an obsession! It comes with two pedometers and I use one whilst my wife uses the second one, and we both carry then each and every day now. They are smaller enough to go in your trouser pocket without adding any bulk, indeed they are little bigger than a two pound coin.Firstly, on the downside the games that are Included are a bit naff and soon lose their shine. Every now and then I might look at them, but generally it's just the pedometer function I use.The step counting is good and really helped me to realise how little I walked on some days, to the extent I have changed my routine to ensure I walk more. The result of this my health and general fitness continues to improve, don't get me wrong I am not saying this is solely responsible but it's another useful tool.My wife and I also compete to see who has done the most steps each day!If I could link the data to the WiiFit data on my Wii then it would get 5 stars! All in all it's a fun package with a genuine aid towards improved health and fitness.

I bought this as I lost my little gadget and needed a replacement.i take it out most days and get quite cheered when it reaches the target i set, though it doesnt always detect my activity. it doesnt know when you go uphill and have to walk harder but it does have some great sarcasm in the review. I was working online one day and must have taken a break, later that evening it came to a dead spot where i appeared to have done nothing at all, then suddenly a movement, the mii asked, "what happened, did someone call your name?" cheeky! Sets little targets for you to achieve, such as make sure you have regular meals today, think about your posture while you walk and walk as much as you can and others.....of course its up to you whether you do them or not,you can still get a smiley face 'sticker' on the date either way.I have tried this gadget on my bra strap, in my bra, in my socks and in my pocket and tied to my ankle, so lots of options.

It's very easy to use - just 'register' yourself with your DS and hey presto. The default pedometer does not have a clip for your belt but a small screwdriver can be used to affix the one that is supplied in the box. The Walk the World and Illuminate mini games are fun for children and its very easy to compare each person's walking with each other. Easy to read graphs show how each user's walking changes over time. 2 pedometers are supplied (for 2 people to use) but for extra people more pedometers need to be purchased separately. Supposedly you can even stick a pedometer on your dog!Anyway to conclude; this isn't a game per say but it does give you a chance to monitor steps in an easy to use way.It can encourage you to walk more - but it doesnt make you walk. Like with Wii fit you need to put effort in for it to work.I am pleased with my purchase.

I've been using a pedometer for about six months now, and use it to motivate me and keep an eye on my exercise. This "game" is really just a really good pair of pedometers, which do seem to measure about the same as my last pedometer. The upsides;- You get to see your activity by time of day- You can download your Mii from the Mii channel on your Wii if you have one, this is supurb!- The Activity meters are small, light and robust- Its really good fun checking your progress, but it does take a little longer than with a standard pedometerThe downsides;I used to look at my pedometer during the day and see how it was going, there is not screen on the activity meter, so you can't check without a DS being handyVery very good, though, especially if you are trying to encourage kids to get out an move!

This game / fitness tracker is great fun originally released for the Nintendo DS it also works in the 3DS and 2DS systems it utilizes the infrared port to transmit data from the two pedometers included to record your steps during the day the pedometers themselves are quite accurate as I have a Fitbit which I have tried them against. The game itself although simplistic adds an extra angle to keeping fit and you can add up to an extra two trackers to the one game cartridge making a total of 4 so that a family could use this with the one cartridge. It also suggests and has an option in the game for you to add it to a dog to check his or her steps overall great fun well worth the money

My mum convinced me to buy this (with her money of course) and I'm so very glad she did. We've both benefited from wearing the pedometer and trying to get to are targets every day makes us very competitive! It also makes me realise how much walking I do when I'm just at home, when before I thought I'd been doing 'nothing', I'd been doing a lot more than I thought I was!I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants to increase their activity but in small ways in stead of large ones. The mini games are also very addictive and I'm trying so hard to beat my mum at them! We've both really enjoyed this product and have used it every day since we got it.Fantastic buy!

**************************************************************************I couldn't wait for this to be delivered and I'm very happy with it on my first day of wearing it. It really makes you want to walk.I can't seem to get the ds onto the internet as yet but will work it out hopefully soon so that I can see where I come in the league tables. My daughter is using my other active meter so that should be fun who walks more daily and weekly. I am sure I will win, so watch this space on week one.Much better than the Ds pedometer which I sent back as it was too bulky and fell off all the time.**************************************************************************

Well folks - this little pedometer certainly gets you moving! It's not exactly a game and I'm not sure whether being likened to a sheep or deer is very helpful - but the game is designed for 3 years and up so I guess it's designed for little ones in mind.My husband registered as a cute dog with his pedometer - sigh! But I think it calculates a 'dog' stride therefore if we go out for a walk together, he will have done about 300 steps more than me by the end of it.The actual pedometer is very small and neat - and doesn't get affected by car movement at all which is good.Summing up - I think it is a good little 'gizmo' and has really helped me to take more exercise.

Item arrived two days before delivery date - bonus. Service good and description of product correct. I was originally looking for a pedometer but I came across this item and thought it would be a good start to monitoring my walking and a bit of fun too as you can compete with another person. I started using the activity meter straight away. I have one and my husband has the other so we compete with each other for the most steps. Shame it doesn't measure distance as well but it's still interesting to see what your movements are for the day. It even measures you when you are cycling, hence it is more about your 'activity' rather than just walking.

I have been using this gadget for a number of years to ensure that I achieve a daily walking target as part of living a healthy lifestyle. My partner carries one too, and we compare our achievements at the end of the day, just as we are about to settle down with our feet up in front of the television. Sometimes the meters are reading red and we then have to get out of our chairs, dress up to go out, and get that meter reading green! One tip: I carry the meter in a small bag in my pocket. I find that it is easier to find and less likely to get lost when emptying pockets (I had one that ended up in the washing machine!).

I have been a life long walker and favor Omron pedometers generally. Having being given a Nintendo DS for my birthday last Jan I quickly started accumulating health/fitness based games for it as well as games I played at arcades in the 80s like Centipede and Galaga.I really am enjoying Walk with me. It encourages you to walk more with the little Mii that you design yourself, the virtual walks, the hour by hour breakdown, the tracking of your steps that are in 10 minute increments, etc. I managed 70 miles last week and I really contribute it to this handy and fun little game.Highly recommended !!

Bought this to measure how much we moved. Thought I'd be streets ahead of the other half, wrong! Very useful as it gives minute by minute breakdowns and compares you with others. It reckons it only counts the front paws for the dog, but she's wiping the floor with us both, though wagging her tail seems to knock her count up too. Nice to know how much we move in these lazy, office based or TV watching times but likely to become boring after a while. Will be fun while it lasts though and is making us more aware of just how lazy we've become.

5.3.2010

I bought this so that I had an incentive to walk more. Especally on shorter journeys. It has worked perfectly! I am able to see the different rhythms that I have to my exercise on different days and I'm in competition with my husband to see who can do the most steps in one day. My only niggle is that the pedometer is not sensitive enough to react to small steps - I'm on my feet all day, wandering around a small space and the rhythm shows this as a period of inactivity. I'm definately not inactive in that time!Overall a great gadget.

6.2.2011

This a a great product to show you exactly how lazy you can be!! I work in an office and if I dont walk to and from work I would get virtually no exercise at all. This little gadget is great to motivate you to move around a bit more than usual. Very small and discreet, I clip mine to my belt and no one can see it. Its also very secure. My hubby has started wearing the second activity meter and the competition is on......... he's even started walking to work to pick me up on his days off so he can beat me. Would recommend to anyone.
