Its a simple enough game to use where you create a character and lead them around the school grounds playing games about different parts of Spanish language (articles/nouns etc) and earn yourself some words to be tested on. My only complaint would be that it doesn't repeat or say a whole sentence (Eg: its written in Spanish that the elephant is ---- and you have to find the missing word, but it only says the word and not the whole sentence when you have found the word). But its a great item for the reading aspect of Spanish and should be used alongside other learning tools. Not for very young children as they probably won't be able to read the English let alone the Spanish. My 5yo learns English spellings the phonic way at school and then tries to impose the same sounds to the Spanish, so right now this is too difficult for her. My 8yo is picking it up though.

I can understand, after having started using it, why other reviewers have rated it so low. After having used it for a while, I could see that the design of the game is meant to challenge and encourage a child to find a way to gain access to certain gateways and levels. Fortunately, there is assistance from passers-by in the game, so one need not refer to the accompanying user-manual booklet that comes with the package. The game would bore an adult almost immediately, especially for its low amount of vocabulary - but then, it is created for young children.I would say, like all gadget games, it would depend on what the child is interested in. If parents &/or teachers can help maintain the child's interest in learning a new language, the motivation would be two-fold (language+game)

Good game but if you want to learn the language it's not enough. It's too childish but I can't see how can you make your child play it and enjoy learning the words. It is a good idea to start with it and after that buy something else.

This is educational for child beginner and sufficiently fun for my 11 year old to be quite happy to learn with it for half an hour before going on to another game.

Using it at the moment. I like it, just wish I had more time to play. Shame there isn't a 3DS version. Adios..
