I was looking for a backback to take on days out in the country. I wanted to have a backback with some easily accessible storage, so i don't have to stop and take it off whenever I need to reach for frequently used items. I found this Fastpack25, which was designed as a "running vest". Well, I don't intend to do any running, but it is perfect for my intended purpose. You can pack bottles of water/snacks/tools etc in the harness at the front, leaving the actual backpack for larger items.I found this backpack very comfortable. I was initially worried that it would not be waterproof (i found some reviews that claimed it was not even water resistant), but I was glad to discover it was made from a PU (or similar)

Slightly heavier than others but super practical and robust. I have not yet ran the MDS but the trainings with backpack weight have proven this to be my backpack of choice for the race.
