Our dog was starting to seem depressed in lockdown, bit bored of her current toys, just restlessly pacing or sleeping a lot. So I thought I'd look on Amazon for some new toys specifically that might sustain her interest.Well, I think this snake has ticked the box, we came back from a long walk and it had arrived. Usually she would fall asleep after a walk but she has now been playing with the snake for about three hours and keeps begging for it to be refilled with treats. We've filled it with both liver paste and small hard treats, both seem to work well, she can get them out but not too quickly.Although it's only been three hours, that's plenty of time for our dog to chew through something usually (she destroyed a dog frisbee in half an hour last week)- and so far there is not even a toothmark on the snake, so I am really impressed with durability too.

My 6 month Beagle mix is obsessed by food - particularly mine. Sending him to his bed every few minutes to enable me to eat is tiresome. Sometimes he's sent to a different part of the house. The snack snake helps so much, though it took me a couple of tries to find the optimum size treat . So on his bed with snakey gives me a good 15 minutes. I make sure the treats are packed quite tightly at the narrower tail end to keep him busy longer. I can see if I used dog peanut butter that my dog could be occupied longer but it would be fiddly to clean the snake, though not impossible. He's quite a heavy chewer so once the treats are gone I don't leave him with the snake for too long as it doesn't seem durable to be used as a chew toy.But I am pleased with the purchase - it suits my dog. He knows that if I say 'snakey' its treat time.

Having bought one of these previously for £5 from a High Street store, I was shocked to see that they were retailing on Amazon for £15. When the price dropped to under £5 I bought another 2 as our German Shepherd puppy loves the snake, both as a toy and as a treat dispenser. Having had the previous snake for almost a year, it is starting to show a little wear and tear, which is brilliant considering our GSD is a chewer. Our girl also loves to play tug with the snake. The quality of the snake from Amazon is on a par with the existing snake and therefore the 2 bought are expected to be quite durable.I find that if the body of the snake is filled with complete dog food and then ‘sealed’ with pate or dog paste it keeps our girl busy for a while and she enjoys extracting the food from the cavity. I definitely recommend.

Erm, ok - in my haste to buy a treat toy for my little angel/monster (yes, it’s a breed!) Alice, I didn't read the small print or the reviews. Big fail! So when I opened the package, imagine my surprise when I saw how big it actually was - it’s bigger than she is (see photo)!! Suffice to say, Alice wasn’t overly impressed with my offering and was actually a little alarmed by it, so unfortunately it will have to go back. The actual product does look great though - I can imagine the right dog having a great old time trying to get peanut butter etc out of it. It looks durable, it’s very affordable but unfortunately I cannot give a full user review as for us it’s unusable due to its size.I need something more worm size! The quest continues....

My boy is a great chewer of dog toys, and can destroy most of them within minutes. The snake, though, has lasted much better than most. We put treats inside the snake (there's a long slot on the underside) and he shakes it to get them out. That doesn't take long. Then he settles down to some serious chewing at one end of the snake. Because it is made of a flexible yet resistant substance (I don't know if it's a type of plastic), the snake gives but doesn't tear or puncture easily. His first snake lasted some months (always supervised just in case he bit off and swallowed a chunk). So he now has a replacement, and loves it just as much.Recommended for dogs that destroy most other toys within minutes.

My four legged toy deconstructor hasn’t eaten this one and he’s had it a while now, it’s soft and flexible for him to play with but either withstands chewing or he likes this one too much to decapitate it!Filling the tummy of the snake with peanut butter or one of his other favourites keeps him occupied for hours, long after he’s finished the treat because he’s a bit sun god love him and he thinks if he keeps on foraging it will magically refill itself. The best part is the squeaker in the head, which my delicate little petal only discovered when he was playing tug with it and he had to run away when the scary snake made a noise and really did frighten the big soft lump??

These snakes are absolutely fantastic. They are durable, very strong, & a lot bigger than l expected them to be. My destructive giant breed Caucasian Mountain dog can't destroy these (woohoo!) & she loves to work her kibble out of it, piece by piece, which takes about an hour, so it's also great for dogs that eat their food far too fast out of a dish. Also, the head squeaks, but the dog can't squeak the head too easily - they have to really work at it, which keeps them busy & keeps them happy. What a brilliant find, l bought 2 already & will be definitely buying more. Thankyou! ?

I have a staff/lab and his treats are gone in seconds, so I wanted something that would make him take a little more time with them. This is perfect! He usually chews through his toys within hours but hasn't even attempted to chew this or use it as a toy (yet!) He took some time figuring it out and eventually managed to get the handful of treats I'd placed inside it.The day after, he turned the toy upside down so they all fell out, the little cheater. So next time I pushed them down more securely and when he turned it over the food stayed inside the snake. Very happy with this.

We had to get our dog a replacement snake, he's had the same snake since he was a little pup and it's the only toy he never destroyed. Unfortunately after about 2.5 years of being thrown around and vigorously chewed to the point the squeeker fell out we needed to find a replacement for his favourite toy. Didn't think I'd be able to find it on Amazon so easily as we couldn't find it in the shops. But needless to say our dog is once again very happy with the new snake.Durability is great and squeek isn't too loud either.

Squeaker in the head is great for tomenting the dog but since its located at the head, the dog rarely chews that area long enough to squeak it himselfAnd while strong enough to withstand some constant abuse, once you use it for treats thats all they expect and after that they're bored with it.Great size for playing fetch with though and while it was being chewed into, i saw no battle scars so i suspect it will last a whileNote the fluffy beast i unleashed this to is a Pyrenean Mountain Dog

My pup absolutely went wild with this snake toy. The toy is not super hard silicone or plastic, it is soft enough and good for his teething. This is not to say it’s super soft in durability mind. I find that all the hard type ones don’t appeal to my pup. They didn’t appeal to my staffie neither. I found wiggling it on the floor made him go wild! It was so funny to watch. Once filled with treats he just amused himself for hours. Here he’s sat with it at an opportune moment. A great buy! Love it!

Oh my gosh this has been wonderful. My staffy has PTSD from abusive past and using this is so much more effective to divert her attention from chewing and biting herself. She absolutely loves this, whether its full of yummy food or being thrown against our legs, its definitely a favorite. We wasnt aware a squeaker was inside the head part, she popped this within about a day hense durability at 4/5star, however the material itself is superb and definately staffy-proof.

Our dog has quite bad separation anxiety which makes it hard to do little things like go have a shower without her... then we got this! Fill it up with treats, even the boring snacks she would normally ignore, and she is entertained for a good half hour.We get similar results from a Kong but the difference with this is she loves to play with it as a toy even when there isn’t any food in it. Runs around with it, tosses it in the air for hours!

My dog loves this toy, it's really durable and he has a great time trying to get his treats out of it.He loves a treat toy and has several of the popular branded ones, but this was different so I thought, being a great price, that I'd try it.I didn't expect much but it really has lasted well and still like new, he has loads of fun with it and the head squeaks.I've already recommended to several of my dog friends.

I have a Staffordshire bull terrier and his goal in life is to destroy everything, and the snake haa withstood him for an hour so far without any sign of damage, the treat compartment is very nice and holds a lot and the head of the snake even squeeks which was a nice touch. I don't see it lasting him too long as he's taken a liking to the snake but so far it's lasted him a little while, I'd definitely buy it again
