This rack works perfectly when carrying my 23kg ebike which is too heavy for most racks. It's easy to fold/unfold, easy to store and fits onto my car in seconds. I also purchased the storage bag to put the rack in when stored at home.My bike secures to the rack easily and quick, just sit the wheels in the track and clamp one of the clamp arms to my bike frame, then tighten the straps around each wheel. The rack can be locked to your cars towball and the clamps that secure to your bike can also be locked. To open the car boot when a bike is loaded, press the foot pedal to allow the rack to tilt away, then click it back into place. However, there is a very limited range in adjustment of the clamp positions for clamping to your bike. The short clamp arm is for the bike on the inside of the rack, closest to the car, and won't reach a bike on the outer part of the rack. The longer clamp arm is for a bike on the outer side of the rack. But the 'n' shaped bracket that these clamp arms are attached to is quite small, and the clamp arms can only fit on the straight sections of the bracket, not on the bent 90 degree parts. I guess if this bracket was any bigger to give more range of clamp arm positioning then the rack wouldn't fold up as small. See the photo I've added which shows the size of the bracket that the clamp arms are connected to, and how the clamps fit onto my bike. When putting my bike on the inside of the rack, the short arm will only reach to the the seat post upright of my bike frame. I have a bike lock holder attached to the drinks bottle fitment, and I have to pivot this downwards so the shorter clamp can get to the bike frame. Thankfully the longer clamp arm will also reach my bikes crossbar at the same time, so I can use either clamp arm, or both. I'm not convinced that the longer clamp arm would necessarily reach to a second bike added to the outer position of the rack, as the inner bike may get in its way, depending on the size/shape of your bikes. Things like drinks bottle cages could get in the way of the clamps.I doubt I'll ever need to carry a 2nd bike on the rack as I also have bike racks on the cars roof, but for £500 you expect the versatility of a two bike rack to always be able to carry two bikes, and with a flexible range of clamp adjustment positions to reach different shaped bike frames.I like how it folds up small so it fits into the boot of my Skoda Yeti, so once I've got to my destination and removed my bike I can store the rack in the boot whilst I'm out cycling, that way nobody is going to drive into it or try and rip it off the tow bar.So if your bikes fit this rack then it will be a superb rack for you, but be aware of the limited range of clamp placement.

Having read the following 1 star review from Andreas it put doubts in my mind. I checked his opinion with the e-bikeshop and they reassured me it would take my 2 step through Moustache Samedi X Trail e bikes and so I bought it.I don’t do reviews but Andreas’s comments are so misleading that I thought I had to write just to help people who like me might be put off by Andreas’s review. Simply stated, it’s a great bike rack which takes my two bikes comfortably. No problem.“This bike towbar carrier has much to recommend it: clever design; it folds for easy storage; integrated lights; the wheel straps & buckles work really well, the optional loading ramp is great for heavy e-bikes; etc.The BIG problem is that this rack will not take my e-bikes that have an open 'step through' frame, and much wider frame section. The Thule bike arms have very limited movement/ articulation. After buying the Thule Bike Frame Adapter 982, and after much trial and error, I was able to load and secure my first e-bike onto the carrier, using the long Thule bike arm. This leaves me with the short Thule bile arm, which of course cannot secure a second bike. So at the moment this bike carrier is a an expensive and useless piece of junk sitting in my garage. Either I will have to sell it at a loss, or I have to spend more money trying to get additional bike arm(s) to fit both my bikes. I also had various problems fitting the carrier onto my car and campervan - but I won't go into details here. So you need to check this carrier will a) fit your car(s) and b) fit your bikes. BUYER BEWARE - TRY BEFORE YOU BUY !”

We have 2 e bikes, one of which (Volt Infinity) is pretty heavy and the other (Orbea) has an oversized down tube containing the battery. To the great credit of the Thule designers, both fit on the carrier with no problems. That said, my 60 minutes spent working-out the best way to load them (which one first, positioning of pedals, remove battery?) was time well spent!Positives? It’s sturdy, feels entirely secure on the towing hitch, is easy to mount/dismount, facilitates simple access to the boot (big tailgate on my Freelander!) and the built-in lights are effective.Negatives? It’s HEAVY and there are no wheels to help with moving it. That was a bit of a surprise as they seem to be on the models sold in other countries. It’s expensive (although quality usually is) but disappointingly you have to fork-out more for the loading ramp and cover - at this price they should be included. The diagrammatic instructions are useless. Fortunately there are some excellent videos on YouTube. In summary, an excellent answer to transporting heavy/bulky ebikes. Would I recommend it? Most certainly.

An excellent and convenient carrier, and a good price from Amazon. Many towbar companies charge more for it. I was concerned about where to store a carrier when not in use, but this folds up and fits in a corner of the garage. It is very quick and easy to set up and quite easy fix the bikes on, though you may have to fiddle with the frame holders a bit to get the optimum position. One ebike would not fit on the recommended inner position because the short arm would not reach the available frame region, but it was OK on the outer position. Seems to work fine with the very heavy ebike (25kg) plus one standard bike. Not tried 2 ebikes yet, but should be OK according to given weight limits.I have always been put off getting a towbar + carrier because of the expense, cannot manage a roof carrier, and hated the fiddly “hanging off the boot” carriers. Honda Civic won’t take the latter anyway because of the hatchback glass design. Covid19 entrapment persuaded me to bite the bullet, and I am very pleased with the sheer convenience and simplicity of detachable towbar/foldable carrier system

A remarkable piece of kit. I assembled it in ten minutes on the first attempt. The only adjustment is the knob to adjust to the ball size on my Mercedes C Class estate swan neck tow bar. This required the maximum adjustment, otherwise it just folds out to produce a superb carrier for two ebikes although I think it would not suit an an electric bike where the battery is built into the post below the bike seat as this is the main anchoring point to the carrier. Also you need to order a 7 pin to 13 pin adaptor for the tow bar electrics (widely available) if you have a standard UK tow bar. I am 66 and not very fit but had no difficulty lifting the carrier onto the tow ball and disassembling. The bike ramp is also very useful as each electric bike is significantly heavier than the carrier and would have been a struggle to lift. The fold down facility to allow access to the rear gate of an estate car is really elegant and simple to use. I really can't fault this equipment for carrying heavy electric bikes.

After years of lifting bikes onto car roofs and bike racks that hang on your tailgate or boot lid (effectively making the boot redundant) I have seen the light!!!Easy to use and I mean easy, bikes are so secure and above all stable.Don’t like the look of where you have parked? No problem, just fold and unhitch carrier and put it in the boot.Loaded bikes on and want to put something in the boot? No problem just press foot on carrier and lower bikes out of the way to access boot, amazing. It’s not cheap, but this is definitely the way to go. We put 2 Cube ebikes on, and when it’s going to be to much to put them on you can get a ramp to wheel them on.Did I mention the light bar?No issues of bikes obscuring indicators/brake lights etc keeping you safe.

Most people who know bikes will tell you that Thule make the best bike racks. And most of those people will tell you that the 931 EasyFold is the best towbar-mounted rack that Thule make! This is my third Thuele buy. First was a pair of roof-monted carriers, then a lower spec towbar mount, both of which were good but the 932 is in a different league! THe build quality is outstanding and it's just SO easy to use. OK, so it's a bit on the pricy side but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for! Would I recommend it? Absolutely and without reservation.

Very easy to install on the tow bar (although you need a bit of strength to close the handle), putting the bikes on the rack is a breeze. Thanks to the tilt option, which took no effort at all with three bikes on, I could still get into the boot. It is very sturdy while on the road, although admittedly I only went for a half hour test drive to check. When I got back, it only took me 8 minutes to unload the bikes, remove the bike rack and store it all in the garage. One of the best substantial purchases I have made. Highly recommended!

When buying Thule products, you get what you pay for, and whilst reduced thus was reassuringly expensive. Sturdy, well built, clever and easy to use, I am very comfortable loading a couple of fairly expensive bikes onto it. One point for consideration is your exhaust configuration - I have an SQ5 with quad exhausts and whilst not yet an issue I felt it appropriate to add some heat shielding to the plastic on the rack to ensure complete protection. I also bought a separate carry bag to keep it neat and tidy when stored.

I would rate this 5 star. Excellent and well designed bit of kit. Very quick and easy to fit to tow bar and to fit bikes. HOWEVER.................to have to pay extra £20 for straps that actually fit a bike with wide tyres (which is why you would buy this rack in the first place), given the high price of the rack anyway is simply a rip off. Also I did buy the extra loading ramp to wheel the bike on. At £40+ not worth it. Quicker to just lift the bike on (and my Whyte E150 is a heavy bike) than to slot in the ramp.

7.4.2021

Like most Thule bike racks it is really well built. What stands this apart from many other models is the designed and in particular the ability to fold up to minimise storage space. It can be carried using one hand and it’s easy for one person to install on a tow bar.I would recommend investing in the Thule cover (931100) and if you have a heavy electric bike the ramps (934401) which conveniently folds up and stored within the bike rack.

Really well designed carrier I can get it out of the boot and have my bike secure in 2mins,it is a little heavy if your a little elderly perhaps,I am 52 of medium fitness and its completely manageable but my dad in his 70's would struggle. After reading other reviews just like to say I have 2 Ebikes a large mtb with 2.8" tyres and a hybrid and they fit with no problems also it fits standard euro tow bars.

As an engineer, this product feels and looks good. Number plate clips are a bit sloppy but having only one plate and being used only on one vehicle I use adhesive stickers to secure the plate. It's not cheap, this make never is, but compared to the competition this is the cost of quality. I purchased their bag for storage. In my opinion worth doing. Eat a big breakfast, it's a bit on the heavy side.

26.4.2021

makes biking further afield a breezeclip it on, saddle up the bikes and away we gostill amusues me how it can hold up so much weight just on the ball, two big heavy electric bikeseasy fold takes up no space in the shed when not in use and i can even put it in the car boot when we go cycling if so inclined or the area looks dodgycant compare to other bike racks this is my first

By far the best bike racks on the market. I live in a Condo and it's super easy to transport with the wheels. It's secured and the bikes don't wobble! However, it was not easy to find the right hitch ball for it. The standard 50mm doesn't work for some reason and the 2" curt euro swan neck also doesn't work... I had to find a Thule BMA twobar which happens to fit my car...
