I needed to drive from Massachusetts to California with all of my personal belongings. My Honda CR-V holds a lot but I needed more so I purchased this Thule box. It worked great. I didn't need to access the contents during the trip but when I got home to CA and opened the box, everything was nice and dry - despite torrential rains in Nebraska! I was very careful using the lock/latches due to other reviewers' comments and it does seem a bit flimsy, but it worked just great.

This is my first roof cargo box, I got the Force XT - XL for my 2019 Outback. It is really elegant.DO NOTI unlock on BOTH SIDES you will have trouble putting it back together. It is light-weight and easy to insall. I find it a little flimsy. Had i known how it feels to open and close, I would have paid a little more to get the Motion XT. If this is your budget range, BUY THE FORCE XT

I bought this for use on my 2020 Prius Prime and am very satisfied. I just took it on back to back 13 hour trips with no issue. I averaged 45mpg on both trips. I fit one large samsonite suitcase, a carryon size Away suitcase, and a hard guitar case and still had some room, though I didn’t want to exceed the weight capacity. It rained on one of the trips and I found no leakage.

Product arrived and noted damage on the box with freight carrier, when opened damage was not where package was damaged but had and end that was crushed. We were leaving the same day and needed the carrier so pushed out the damage and used the unit. I think the product should be better protected for something that cost some money.

My son bought this for a cross country road trip out to college. We packed it full of skis, snowboards, boots, equipment and clothing. Opens on both sides, which is great. I like the fact that is can only be locked with the key so no one accidentally leave/locks the keys in it. Very easy to install.

Has been a great addition to our road trips and makes it a lot easier to travel with spouse, 2 children, dog and luggage in one car! What a lifesaver! It does take 2 people to lift and mount (heavy to lift overhead) but otherwise not too heavy. Not noisy or wobbly on the road which is so great.

Purchased the Thule Force XT for use on a Subaru Outback. It did not disappoint. A little difficult opening and closing but performed amazing. Over a Holiday road trip and 10 hours of continuous rain nothing was wet. Road noise as mounted was nominal despite windy, wet conditions. Love it!

Definitely helps to have more storage. Easy to put on. Had a rooftop bag before getting this. This sooo much better & easier. Only downside was not being able to take it off the car while in was unloaded on vacation because there was nowhere to put it, big. but still way better than bag.

We got this the day before we left for a ski trip. We easily fit 3 pairs of skis and all the boots and extra stuff. It mounted right up on the 2019 Pathfinder we were able to go 80 mph easily and all items stayed dry in the snow, rain and grime. This was a great purchase!

We purchased this mainly to move across states in our 2017 Rav 4 and was very easy to install, not too heavy lifting over the head for my wife and I and had 0 issues with it the entire time. Now we will keep it for camping and and other long road trips

Perfect!However, don’t forget to lock the first side before you open the second side. ??♀️ I had to take it back off the car to fix it.Otherwise, we maxed it out in weight and went through snow and rain with 32 hours on the road. Worked perfectly.

SO impressed with my Thule cargo carrier! Looked at many others that were cheaper, but no regrets having spent the extra $$$ for this Thule. It has been worth every cent in ease of installation, use & durability.Looks great, too.HIGHLY recommend!

I've used this on 2 long trips so far. It has plenty of room. It hurts fuel mileage somewhat, but that's to be expected with a small car and small engine. I'm satisfied with it. I went through quite a few rain storms, and it kept everything dry.

Clipped onto my stock rails on my 2017 highlander. Easy to open and lots of space.Need a small ladder or chair to reach it but certainly does the trick. Not much wind noise either. Drove in rain and no issue with infiltration either.

First one arrived damaged but easily got an exchange from Amazon. Fit nicely on our Subaru Outback, very easy install and felt sturdy. It didn’t make any noise on the highway. So far only about 500 miles with it but we’re happy.
