I F*#%ING LOVE THIS THING!I don’t have a truck or large vehicle my first car was a Kia Rio an I had one of the foldable bike racks on the back side that attaches with straps , the straps bent some metal and the pads scuffed my paint, over long use an a lot of time using it. I traded that car in for a new Kia Soul I just love the brand! I have three mountain bikes, one a 26” Full sus giant, a trek 29er and a woodman 26” dirt jumper. Nothing expensive all used an abused, I like to ride sometimes hard or casual, an my friends come with me with sometimes this SEASUCKER IS AWESOME everyone still fits in the car. My most resent trip I went from my home town of rutvegas VT to Auburn ME with one of my Bike’s on the roof,4 hours of driving and speeds up to 72 mph. I did stop to go use the rest room in Maine at the welcome center and none of the push buttons were showing their orange indicators (which means it’s lost some suction( 200lbs per suction cup)). I know the product is a little expensive actually it’s more money than I paid for one of my used bikes for but if you don’t have the cargo space or want to ruin your cars paint I’d most definitely recommend this to anyone!!!!!!!!!

The main frame for the rack is just plastic, unless there is steel imbedded in it. 3/4" thick high density PE. It's REALLY strong. In a test, the suction held for over 6 hours on the main piece (all 4 cups), at which point I removed it. In another test, a single rear cup held suction overnight (about 9 hours). All of the hardware appears to be quite robust and well designed. The only assembly is the attachment of the two fork mounts (two machine screws and nylock nuts each). Since I have an aversion to putting anything against the paint of my new car, I plan to mount the main piece at the top of the windshield, and there's a bit of curvature; as a heads-up,attaching it to the car was easier when I proceeded sequentially from one side to the other, rather than trying to do the two outside cups first.I originally planned to mount a hitch receiver to the car to avoid having a rack touch any part of the car itself. However, the attachment points for a receiver for my Volt, and the forces by a cantilevered rack persuaded me to give this a try, and I'm glad I did. At this point, I couldn't be happier.

05-17-2017***************Currently using this rack on a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. After getting hassled by the local cops for my hitch mounted bike rack partially blocking my plates, I figure I check out this bike rack from Seasucker.I should had bought to bike rack long ago. It is great!! easy to mount as long as you clean the area. It holds my heavy aluminum 2013 Specialized Camber MTB. and it does not sway like I imagine it would.I have driven at a max speed of 75-80 mph while carrying the MTB bike and have not had any issues. All 5 suction cups (4 front and 1 rear) hold their vacuum without a problem. I have yet to carry 2 bikes at once, but my other bike uses a 12 mm thru axel and the adapter SeaSucker sells for the 15 mm is both too big for the bolt (I knew this as I need a 12 mm) but it was also too short and this prevents me from tightening the thru axel bolt on my road bike (The Bolt Handle hits the rack while you try to turn). I will eventually get a brass bushing made with 15 mm OD x 12 mm ID to convert the following adapter to fit my road bike (

When we bought our car we didn't realise it wouldn't be able to transport our bikes: too small to put the bikes in the back; unsuitable for the hatch-mounted racks; unsuitable for fitting a tow bar. We didn't like the idea of roof racks either but the Seasucker caught my attention. I watched a load of videos which helped dispel my distrust of the concept and then bought one. Who knew that we could so easily transport our bikes with the magic of Velcro and suction? It's easy to fit and remove, easy to put bikes on and take off (I'm only 165 cm tall and can do this alone), we've used it loads of times now with no issues and we're happy that we can drive out of London for a bit of cycling any time we want.Just one warning - remember to use the Velcro strap provided to hold the pedals in place or you will scratch your roof.

This is a brilliant device that works really well, and addresses a lot of the problems with traditional racks. Easy to store. Easy to add onto pretty much any car. Easier to get the bikes on to. No need for different racks/kits for different cars - the one seasucker will fit any of the cars you have, or that your family friends have, now and into the future without change. I have to admit I was nervous the first few times, but confidence builds very quickly, and have now done a 500 mile motorway round trip with no issues at all. YouTube videos are out there showing it mounted on racing cars going round the track, and at 140mph - so maybe I shouldnt have worried. So stop being nervous about attaching your pride and joy to your speeding car with rubber suckers. It works, and is better that what you have.

Off course I was reluctant at first. But you don’t have to fear. This thing is sturdy and very safe. I use it on the roof of my 2018 AUDI A3 sedan. I have used it to drive more than 300 miles at around 75 mph. I try to check the pressure every four hours. Once I left it all night for around 8 hours in the garage and it hold the pressure perfectly. The only thing you have to take into account is to use it on paved roads. Probably on bumpy roads it will work but the roof will make an unpleasant sound. I think the best area of the car to place it will be, the front part of the rack in the back part of the roof, and the rear tyre “sucker” on top of the trunk.

Great, on and off in seconds. super sturdy.I have it on the back of the roof with the rear wheel of the bike siting on the trunk. as its so far back it does not create any noticeable wind noise whatsoever.I use this for my vintage Beemer and and did not want to spoil it a car i admire for its design with a permanently installed rack so this is the way to go! i am super stoked on it.I have it in an bag in the trunk and just pop it on in less than a minute when i need it.the only negative is that the suction cups leave ugly circles on the car after you take them of but these can be wiped off easily with a microfiber towel I keep in the trunk

Car: 2014 Toyota CamryWorks like a charm; remove the entire rack in under a minute. This product is great. For many of my colleagues and friends, this product appeared to be a risky purchase. Basically, they just didn't believe in the suction cups. So, for the first time I used the product I decided to test it out on a 250 mile drive on the interstate; it worked perfectly even at 75 mph for 4 hours. For the past 6 months, I use rack regularly and never have had any problems at all. The aspect I like most about this product is that I can remove the rack when it is not needed. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I have no problem admitting I was very nervous the first time I used it- Attaching anything to the car with nothing but suction cups seems to good to be true. I haven't made any trips of more than 30 miles but the SeaSucker has worked great with two bikes and a cruising speed of 70 mph. It is very easy to get on and off the car. It does require some practice to attach the bikes without either the fork or pedals scratching the roof but the same thing is true for just about any roof-rack system. If it keeps works just as well over the next several months then I will have to come back and change this to a 5 star review.

After doing about a week of research on roof racks, I came to the conclusion that this is the best roof rack available on the market. However, it did not fit the roof of my Mazda MX-5 RF because the roof of my car had too much curve. The two center suction cups attached but the two outer suction cups would not reach. If the roof of your vehicle has more than about a half inch of curve in it, this 2 bike rack won’t attach. I suspect two single bike racks could work. Had to return this product for now. I plan to repurchase it in the future to try it on a Tesla Model S.

I have used this product on two occasions to drive a distances in excess of 300 miles. NO PROBLEMS encountered although I initially felt uncomfortable with using suction cups on a Cadillac SRX. I have also used this product multiple times for short trips of 10 to 30 miles; sometimes in challenging weather conditions - again no problems. I highly stand by this product and prefer using it rather than permanently attached bike racks since my wife and I are not committed to just using only one car to transport our bikes.

I have a few SeaSucker bike racks because at first I got two single bike racks and then this one. I use them all and absolutely love how stable, reliable and consistent they are. I drive all over the country with my bikes on a number of different cars and have never had any issue with these. Speeds above 90 and everything is safe and secure.Every race I go to people come up to me to ask about these and look at how they work. I have NEVER had a more useful bike rack.

Seasucker is a great concept if you don't want to be fixing racks to your car on a semi-permanent basis. Once you have attached the suckers to the vehicle, it is plain sailing. You need to make sure the pushers are lubricated for optimum seal. Would have been 5* but you have to buy a separate adaptor if running a bike with thru axles and these are not so easy to find. I managed to get some on e-bay in the end

I have a Lexus GS350 and did not want to put a trailer hitch on the car or use a trunk mount on to haul my road bike.i found the sea sucker mini bomber on line and thought I would give it a try and it works wonderfully. Best of all no car modifications needed, leaves no marks/scratches on the paint. The only negative is wind noise from the bike.Thats why I rated 4 out of 5 stars.

Awesome bike rack. Once you get over checking them every 5 mins because you are convinced they will fly off the roof you can relax. Extremely easy to fit 5 mins tops. Have blasted up and down highlands of Scotland on 2 different cars and bikes have not moved. Need to tie cranks to frame to stop pedals hitting roof is only minor point.
