Outstanding jacket in every way, well it isn't a completely silent bit of material it certainly is much quieter than any Gore-Tex jackets and a lot of other jackets I have that are not Gore-Tex. The insulation is also very nice and keeps me warm in British climates. I bought it primarily to hillwalking but it's very smart and doesn't seem out of place
