Must admit I was hesitant when buying this, the last game was good but felt quite limited. This game took a different spin, from what I've read they've taken quite a few pages from the Forza book. You are now a racer trying to go legit and ultimately make it to the top of the motorsport world. The game starts as a "Live Extreme" event, which have events all over the US and is your way to get to the top. There are 4 different categories, each with 4 different disciplines. Most people will start Street Racing (SR) where you drive around the streets high end sports cars such as the Audi TTS. This itself felt very much like the last game where I felt most of the time I spent my time in a high end sports car. Then you would be able to switch to offroading trying to get from A to B before a set time. The difference hear between The Crew and The Crew 2 is that you don't alter you vehicle to match a particular circumstance, instead you change to a different vehicle, which is very easy (either from the pause menu or quick select), but I in fact felt this was a bit of a shame. In the last game you could see you vehicle look the same while being completely different, in this one you simply have to change to another vehicle. On the plus side, you got many more disciplines to make up for it. Not only do you have events for Motocross (MX), RallyCross (RX), Drag Racing (DR), Hypercars (HC), Alpha Cars (A - essentially F1 open wheel racing) and Drifting (DR) and Monstertrucks (MT). But you get events for boats, Jetsports which is like little boats in low water swamp like areas, Power Boats (PB) very fast and big boats which can get quite tight. You also get ones for Planes, Acrobatics Planes which generally ask you to do certain moves and then freestyle to get points and Air Race Planes, which are actually, I felt, the most difficult, as you have to balance height, angle and speed at the same time. The last event is part of the Live Extreme Event series where you have an "epic" race where you have 3 races in 1, jumping from Boat, to bike to car (the types are specified beforehand), which all feel very much like the actual "story" to the game.Overall I was pleasantly surprised, however I got to the end, with loads of stuff to do like photos and skills, and that was kind of it. Felt a little anti-climactic to be honest. If you like your racing games then you will enjoy this, the racing is fun, you will be able to race other players quite easily and the driving is a nice balance between sim and arcade.

The crew 2After spending 24 hours in the crew 2 I feel i can give a good objective review Im going to split this down into sections.Main single player game:The main things in this game you can do alone are fun challenging and thankfully you can do all of these things outside of a crew and against CPU players, challenges like speed tasks, escape tasks, photo tasks along with others races, if it’s a bike plain or car it’s so much fun and so much to do it’s crazy….Online Aspects:The online aspects of this game really annoy me, I joined so many crews and thy just drove from one side of the map to the other and did no races at all,or would just it about drive a little then sit there… not a clue what they are doing but it’s a bit stupid to pay out £45+ on a game and not play it right, super annoying, if i could find a crew id be happy to just race for a few hours but no one seems to ever want to, so i always ended up dropping back to playing against the CPU, maybe they are being silly due to it being a little different to the first game but then i never played that, can anyone comment?Graphics & SoundThe open world is massive ‘insanely massive’ however when you have driven from new york to L.A. then back to Miami and then back to L.A. (with these people online) you soon seem to notice that the the all the roads between these cities are a little dull drab repetitive and all a bit rubbish, I originally started playing in 3rd person but soon changed to 1st person mode, that i felt was better however some graphical glitches happened quite often, there’s a so many times where i dropped into areas in cities where I was unable to get out of them and was trapped, had to return to my home to get out, also I’v noticed i’ll be going 180mph and hit a wall or car it’ll reset and I’ll lose all my followers, as as if you jump your car into a river or water, the graphics looks modern enough but gliptices can be annoying, some things are odd like you can drive through buildings - lol - or trees and bushes, on a note of the soundtrack it’s very good and enjoyable music, and the SFX are perfect.OverallOverall i like this game it’s a fun and enjoyable arcade race game, i was kind of wishing it was more like burnout paradise - but i complete that in a weekend- the game is massive and will continue to get better i’m sure anyone that enjoys open world race games will love this im sure, 7/10

I really enjoyed the first 'Crew' a few years back, and - unless something had gone spectacularly wrong with this sequel - then I guessed that I would love this one, too. And I do. Visually, it's very impressive, stunning at times, and I love the handling which, for the cars at least, is a nice balance of arcade and sim. There is a bewildering amount of stuff to do as the game progresses too, which of course is always welcome. I've mainly been following the street racing discipline thus far but be warned, if you're expecting to win races from the start, then it's not going to happen. It's all about unlocking upgrades which of course gets you better results in the long run.But you can switch between disciplines whenever you want, so it's not some linear grind-fest. For instance, yesterday evening I decided to fly a plane from Miami up to Seattle (took about 45 minutes), and it was an incredibly relaxing and therapuetic experience. There are also boats, off-road cars and motorbikes to keep you busy too. And the icing on the cake is that there doesn't seem to be a contrived storyline this time around either, which is always a bonus... it's all about the racing!

The crew 2 is a modified version of the crew 1 so it could work with planes and boats. The map is still the USA with some changes (e.g. few more rivers and slight changes to the roads). The races have a normal mode and a hard mode which you select before starting a race; the hard mode just makes the AI vehicles more powerful and faster. The game is fun playing on your own but for the full experience you need friends to play with. There is a noticeable improvement in vehicles and especially in cars in addition to this there is more of them. However there are things this game is lacking (these are more nitpicks)- there is no in game police unlike the first game; The lack of police makes the game feel a little quite.Along with the police being gone from the game there is non PvP or CREWvCREW (they will be adding PvP in a later update this year).

A fun racer that fans should enjoy there is quite a few race disciplines to master and a very large open world to explore. At its heart its a fun filled arcade racer, but also its an extremely relaxing game. I purchased it for this reason after playing the beta, just jumping into your favourite car and cruising the hundreds of virtual miles, the open world provides accompanied by the excellent soundtrack the game provides, some of which that are so good I actually drive with them in real life, there that good. Also being a permanently connected world, Ubisoft promise to be fore-coming with new content at least every quarter and they have not let there other connected games down,in this department so they shouldn't with the crew 2 either.

This game is a fun open world racing game, it feels more like I'm playing an RPG most of the time... Something something along the lines of Diablo 3, you grind out the races to get better loot and ultimately gain better vehicles.Though, I wish I had gone with the standard over this because I'm not really that fussed about gaining early access to the free DLC coming out in the future (which will include PvP).Also, there are a few things in terms of customisation that I'd like to see in the future as well, things like window tint, window decals, adjustable ride height and custom licence plates.Overall I think it's a pretty fun game that I feel is only going to get better with time.

The game is superb, I am a bit of a novice with racing games normally opting for sports games like FIFA, fight night and tennis etc, also simulation games. This game at times can give you a real adrenaline rush and a real feel of calmness when you are flying in the air or just cruising along , stopping and taking photos of the lovely landmarks and scenery. It's only early days in the game for me , just love the street races, a whole lot of fun and thrills!!!!! There is so much in this game to discover, it will bring a lot of satisfaction to a lot of people.

An Enjoyable Racing game with a few little Negative niggles that stop it being a Great Racing game. The only real problem is the Rubber Banding A.I. which is quite cheap and sorta takes away from sum enjoyment if you have earnt the lead. Which also brings me to a negative, the A.I. sumwhat slows down on occasion to actually let you catch up... which could be called Player Rubber Banding maybe? Its a weird feeling overall which spoils this game for me abit, but again i still really did enjoy the overall experience!

This is a great fun game, and my friends and I couldn’t get over the size of the map, one night we decided to drive one end of America to the other and it took an hour and a half, and that included flying for a time to mix it up a bit.Biggest negative is how expensive the cars are within the game. Honda Civic type R 200k and it takes ages to gain money. Would have been a much more rewarding game if the cars were real world value. Otherwise it’s definitely worth the £20 quid or less it goes for now.

I played the crew when it came out, and purchased the Crew 2 recently. As a game it is a different type of game. The Crew was a story led game where you completed races and missions one after the other. The Crew 2 is more like Forza Horizons series. Where you complete races and level up, therefore qualifying for more events, you can also fly planes, drive hovercrafts and ride bikes.Plus there is a free roam where you can just drive about with friends. All in all a good game.

It’s not bad it’s different and once you get passed the bad points it’s not that bad some bad points is no damage you can pritty much destroy anything in your path like chairs tables signs esc the AI can catch up really quickly if you make a mistake there’s a lot more but I don’t want to Bore you to death but if your that type of person who likes this sort of game style then I recommend getting it if not I would avoid this game

Very entertaining game with many day’s worth of gameplay available in challenges and story missions, extended by weekly shifting challenges and competition with friends. The map in the game is absolutely enormous. With a day and a half of playtime I have yet to explore most of the map, and it’s sheer size makes that much more interesting and time-consuming than in most games.

i was a bit sceptical about paying so much for this game but i'm glad i did not only is this a fantastic game but you also get the season pass and if u like arcade racing and open world games this is the one for you it has all sorts of motorsports from cars to planes the graphics look amazing also if play with your friends it adds to the enjoyment cant wait for the dlc

Yeah this game may have its faults, lack of detail in some places, weird gravity physics and so on, but the positives far outweigh these-great map, loads of vehicles, and at the end of the day you have an incredible amount of fun with this game and I honestly think it’s on par with forza horizon.(not to mention it’s great soundtrack!)

The Crew 2 is big, confident, and stuffed with arcade racing action... land, sea, and air. There’s undoubtedly something still charming about a racing game that lets me drive an F1 car across the Golden Gate bridge, fly a Spitfire through the Grand Canyon, and crash a monster truck through Central Park.
