Without having to bust the bank for a unique special smooth whisky, the 17 year old Balvenie, although not that cheap, is the very very best I have ever tasted in over 50 years. Everyone has their opinion so I have tried them all but 17 year old is a very special smooth tipple indeed. Wish I didn't have to preach about it so much because it does make it harder to find on occasion and that is no wonder. Fabulous.

The Doublewood 17 is a big step up in price, but also in quality from the 12 year old expression. It's an even smoother dram, and very warming in the throat as it slides smoothly down. There's some bigger, bolder flavours that take time to develop as well, adding more complexity to the extra richness and depth of flavour. At this price, it's not exactly every-day drinking material but I wish it could be!

I'm a massive fan of the 12. Pound for pound I think it's my benchmark for quality Scotch, I think I even prefer it to the 14 Caribbean Cask.This was a treat for a Christmas present and it smells familiar. It also tastes familiar but just has a little more depth and complexity.It's absolutely delicious and nice to have for a treat but I think for value I'll stick to the 12.

Truly one of the best whiskeys I have had full of flavours and excellent dram time sit and enjoy I will always keep in my collection deliver was fast and no issues this is a whiskey you need !

Quite simply the best whisky I have ever tasted. I would like to thank my uncle for having it in his kitchen cupboard when me and my mate sneakily had some, not knowing how much it costs

Hi this whisky arrived quickly , we had it at Easter , it was shared between four of us and went down very good . We all recamend it . If ya like a nice whisky it's well worth a try .

Amazing whisky. My favourite malt, I have never found such a well balanced and smooth whisky. A must buy once a year, and enjoy at special occasions.

I bought this for my husband at Christmas. He loves the 12yr old but this one was a definite hit.It has now replaced the 12 hold.

Bought as a gift and was really appreciated and is a lovely whiskey apparently but I haven't tried it as I don't like whiskey.
