I received as a Christmas gift after getting fed up with cheaper umbrella's being destroyed by gusty weather. Its gale force winds at the moment so Ive tried the umbrella in anger a few times, looking our occasionaly for flying bits of tree as I go. The umbrella survived the trips no bother and I although I was a little red faced from the wind & cold I was completely dry. I felt the carbon fibre flexing considerably with the strong gusts, no doubt a metal version would have snapped at that point.Its a very refined looking umbrella with a wide circumference but not as wide/cumbersome as a golf umbrella.I feel confident in any umbrella contest mano a mano,

Good quality brolly... Left my last one on the train.... Unfortunately virgin trains dysfunctional customer support were utterly useless. So have bought new one. Big enough to keep you (and a close friend) dry... Doesn't invert in gusty winds. Always looks smart. Good value for money.... Wouldn't be without one

I'm 2m (~6'6") and I could still bend the arm slightly when using as crook.
