The stomp rocket is just such great fun! Everyone wants a go, not just the young children. My son first saw one of these on display to test out at a festival. He wouldn't leave it alone for the next hour and had to share it with other excited kids attracted by it as he kept firing it. The stomp rocket pack consists of a firing pipe which can be angled for the desired firing position using a screw, connected to a plastic air pump by way of a flexible hose. A foam rocket is placed over the pipe, then stamp or jump on the pump and whoosh, the rocket really does fire a good distance with a sturdy stomp! It really is best firing vertically as it can travel 100ft! Not good for gardens, unless you are firing low as you'd spend the whole time retrieving the rockets. You need a good open space! They can be used indoors and would hit the ceiling harmlessly as they are just foam or could be used for aiming at targets.Apparently these have been used by teachers to teach basic principles of propulsion. The senior stomp rocket can fire 400ft and uses sturdier rockets which fit more tightly. If you're thinking of buying both, the junior rockets will fit onto the senior launcher but the senior rockets won't fit the junior launcher, so you could buy a spare junior rocket pack with a senior kit.

The stand is appalling - I have stuck it together with tape finally in an effort to keep it together. We used it on a field on Boxing Day and the stompy balloon bit got muddy and slippy quickly. It could be improved by giving that some sort of textured surface to the plastic. It is very VERY robust. My 12 stones jumping on it left it unharmed and sent the rocket surprisingly high. Watch out for little kids leaning over the rocket as they stomp, the rockets are foam but I guess would still hurt a little eyeball! My 5 year old loved it, and although it says not to try to catch the rocket (why?), we all had fun trying that. You can angle the stand and fire the rocket sideways. It kind if does this anyway because it's not a great design for the stand. But , hey, it's only a few quid. A good present from Sants!Edit: the two year old plays with it more than the 5 year old. He gets it very high. A fabulous toy to have in the boot of the car or in the garden

Best £10 spent- Children will have hours playing with this safe toy. Yes the frame is a little flimsy - All you have to do is 1/ Super glue the plasic frame together. 2/ Place and wrap some electrical insulating tape- ( black and white makes a good launch pad) or any colour tape around at least too sections i.e one near top of tube to yellow support and on bottom to make a nice curve of pipe along one of the base flat stand legs. You now have a stable always straight up launch pad. This makes for a suprisingly accurate lift off as rockets the come down near lift off site- only wind will make rockets go off off course. Despite the great hight rockets never land too far away.Want more fun - get out your camera and set to high speed and catch the antics of the children stomping on the fuel pad (fuel is air power and free ) You'd think NASA would have done this by now.LOL. Tip: apparantly placing/sliding rockets down fully for tighter fit launches higher.

We bought this for our son's 3rd birthday and he absolutely loves it. The launch pad is simple to use - just jump on it! and the rockets will fly up in whichever direction you choose - just check it's pointing away from people! He and his 4 year old sister spent ages playing with it and quickly learnt how to put the rockets onto the launcher themselves so didn't need help. The only problem we had was that one of the rockets snapped when it was pushed down too forcefully (buy spares!). Oh, and that the children sometimes had to wait for a turn because the grown ups wanted a go too! This really is a lot of fun and very easy to play with. If you point it straight up then the rockets don't land too far away so it doesn't need loads of space, either. Would def recommend - we took ours to Chester Kite Festival and played with it when the wind dropped. Not long after lots of other families went to buy them from a kite stall too. Brilliant!

I bought the stomp rockets after they were recommended to me by another parent. A year later and they are still being played with and providing just as much fun as ever. The junior pack is supposed to be capable of sending rockets 100ft into the air although I can't say I've ever seen ours go anywhere near that high. Still, 50-60ft plus is not bad and more than enough to impress a small child. You can also adjust the angle of the launcher and fire the rockets across the garden. With 2 sets you can fire the rockets at each other and have a little war. Being foam the rockets can't really hurt you and they are quite durable. There's very little to go wrong on this toy as there are no moving parts and the launcher consists of a plastic bladder and a tube on a stand.I consider it to be excellent value, especially in view of the amount of enjoyment it has provided.

Product was present for grandson (3 years old), was well packaged and was easy to assemble. Looks to be durable as product got a fair teasting with my grandson on first use as grandson had to jump on air pack to shoot rocket up. was great fun and was used played with for several hours. Although soft foam rockets, adult supervision is advisable when young children are playing with 'stomp rockets' to ensure rockets are directed away from head/face, avoiding any accidents. One rocket fin did get knocked off, as these are only stuck on. However this has been restuck and looks to be ok. Will need to see how this fairs in future use.Overall 'stomp rocket' was great fun and value for money.A big hit with my grandson and family.

We have had this for almost 2 years now - My 3 year old son loves this and is always asking to play this. Needs quite a big area to play so we can't play in our back garden as the rockets end up in the neighbours gardens. We love this so much grandad has bought one and this purchase was a (requested) present for one of my sons friends. Only small consideration is the keep them away from smaller children as my daughter has chewed holes in them and also ripped off the blue fins (?). We have bought additional rockets both foam and plastic over the last 2 years. Both work well...tests have confirmed that the foam ones go slightly further!Plastic is more sturdy and daughter has yet to find a way to destroy!

This is a great product. I was able to put it together in just a few minutes, and once I showed him proper stomping technique, my 4 year old son had no problem making the rockets fly by himself. The only problem is policing him, as rockets have whizzed past me, his father, and his little sister, not to mention the family pets (something that he of course finds hilarious). Luckily the rockets are quite soft and we haven't had any serious casualties yet, but once the weather warms up I will be very happy to move it outside. But it's fun, cheap, and easy to use, and hopefully the fear of having it taken away will make my little boy practice better rocket etiquette inside!

Bought this based on reviews and wasn't disappointed, bought to keep children amused at a get together and it certainly did that.. the whole afternoon.Good fun had by children and adults, impressively high rockets, great for wide open spaces but probably not your average back garden as they go so high you are bound to lose a few! You get four in the box and you need them! More can be ordered separate from Amazon. If you want hours and I mean hours of fun with the kids then give it a go. great for all ages even babies can sit on the footpad and easily set a rocket off. Rockets are made of very light foam so would not hurt on landing. I'd give more stars if I could.

Bought this for my 7 year old son's birthday. Did not have high hopes as it seemed cheap. However, it has been a HUGE hit with all of us. Every friend that came over during the summer played with it and it always goes to the park with us. It a such a simple idea but the rocket really shoots up into the sky. There is always a mad rush to see who can catch it (which has resulted in a few collisions!) I have 4 children aged 1 to 9 and they all think it is fab. It comes with a couple of extra rockets too (although we haven't needed these yet.) Now we want the larger version - so will probably feature on Christmas lists. A brilliant buy for adults and children alike.

Brilliant - 3 year old grandson had an absolute blast (pardon the pun) with this (and so did the adults). Easy construction and set up. Other reviews around the stand coming apart are correct but that is because the thing does move about when you jump on it, especially with any force. Easily sorted with an application of tape but it didnt stop any of the fun regardless. The highest we got it up to (was purchased for grandson but you have to have a go don’t you!) was about 100 feet. Not quite the international space station but that’s the next version up! Great toy lots of fun - can’t wait for the wind to die down so we can have another go. Recommended.

Who knew such a simply design could provide hours of fun and entertainment! Put together in no time, the stomp rocket junior had my Little Ones enjoying and giggling instantly. What's more as a science teacher I love the Physics lesson this provides. The Rockets are more robust than some I have seen and are cut from one continuous piece of foam - others I have tried with a plastic body and red foam head become useless when the glue keeping the foam head on disintigrates and re-glueing proves fruitless. These do not suffer from that effect and what's more - they glow in the dark! Who wouldn't like that? I would thoroughly recomment these stomp rockets.

We recently went to the Manchester Science Museum where children were encouraged to make their own rockets from an A4 sheet and add further off cuts for wings etc. My boy and his friend both 3.5 found the compressed air launcher very exciting and couldn't wait to blast off - this is why we went for one of these rockets 100ft and the 400ft version for when we get outside. The elder individuals in the family and my son have found this product to be great fun and not just a castaway like the many other presents i could name.Buy one of these because everyone loves it - you can fire it inside the house as long as you move the 'ming' vases !!

Great to get the kids out and do a bit of excercise whilst staying close by. Up to 100ft is the perfect launch height. Bought for my boys (6 and 2.5) both can launch the rockets. Make sure its not too windy else there is extra leg work for the rocket collector. The launch pad can scratch easy on say pavements so be sure to play on grass/ soft surface in a open area. Might not be suitable for the average garden (unless its huge) as the rockets do fall in all directions as the stand can sometimes wobble when the launch pads been stomped on. Super easy and fast to assemble, kids were stuck in after a brief demo by the adults :D

my kids love stomp rockets .it kept them entertained for ages they are only four and two.the fun they had running after therockets just to set them off again.big area needed football pitch ideal.you will have no problems putting them to sleep after a few hours of playing with stomp rockets ,fresh air and running about after rockets simple idea but great fun even for the adultsonly down side is the rockets will not last very long with two very excited boys rushing back with rockets the fins have started to come loose from the rockets. super glue should fix it but get a refill pack when buying rocket kit just in case.
