The Sony WH-H900 h.ear Headphones are my first set of wireless noise cancelling cans that actually work. I guess its a case of you get what you pay for. I have tested out the Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black in store and I would say these Sony's are on a par if not even better. Considering the Bose are another £80 on top of these makes them a great buy.Once you open the bottom tab on the box, the inner box slides out with ease. It's colour coordinated so in my case the box is gold. The packaging is exquisite and lets you know you have purchased a bit of quality.Once you lift the lid of the inner box you reveal your headphones in your choice of colour, they are held in place with two tie wraps. Underneath them is a clear bag with warranty, operating instructions, micro usb charging cable and a colour coordinated 3.5mm jack cable for when either the battery is running low or your on a plane. There is also a nylon draw string bag which is also colour coordinated. It's not very high quality and has a thin fleecy interior. This is the only gripe I have. You would think if you are paying £250 Sony could include a hard case to keep them safe. They paired with my Android phone very easily, I used the basic method of holding the on button until they go into pairing mode then selecting the connection from the bluetooth settings on my phone. However they are NFC enabled so if your device is also NFC you can simply tap the two together. There is a female voice that greets you and confirms choices you have made. The sound quality is superb and as I mentioned before the noise cancelling function is one of the best I've tested. It does a great effort at blocking external sounds. The other feather in it's cap are the touch sensitive controls. They work a treat. To skip a song forward swipe your finger forward on the right cup, replay a track swipe backwards etc. Tap to pause and play, swipe up to increase volume and swipe down to you've got it to lower the volume. The are a hard plastic with a lovely leatherette padded headband and ear cups. They are fairly light on the head and don't pinch although after some long term use my ears did feel a bit warm as the cups cover the whole ear. But This would be the same for any over ear headsets so not knocking them for that.Sony have an app you can download on the relevant app stores for added functionality but I think its just a bit of a gimmick and not really necessary. They have a hands free calling feature and also have a voice assist function with use for Goggle Assistant and Siri.A 10 minute charge allows you up to 65 minutes listening time and on a full charge they claim up to 28 hrs. I can't confirm or deny this as I've only charged them the once and they are still going strong.Sony have added another sterling pair of wireless headphones to their collection. I urge you to give them an audition!

I returned a pair of Bose QC25s and got these, and there's just no comparison. With the Bose, everything except the noise cancelling (which is admittedly amazing) was a let-down. Muffled, muddy sound quality and irritating design quirks just made them impossible to love. The Sony WH-H900 however is just a different class. The build quality is excellent; they just look and feel like a premium product where the Bose really didn't. The earcups are ridiculously soft and comfortable, and they perform so well. The sound quality is really bright and clear, and there's plenty of bass too. The Sony Connect app is a nice extra for fine-tuning the sound, and the wind-cancelling feature is unbelievably effective.Active noise-cancelling is nowhere near as good as the Bose QC, but still absolutely adequate for most people's requirements. They cut out engine rumble from transport, and do a decent job overall. The touch gestures on the ear cups were something I considered a bit gimmicky until I started using them out and about, and they're actually very useful (although it would be nice to be able to 'lock' them when you don't want to use them as they're quite easily accidentally triggered - something a software update might be able to fix in future). These are my first wireless cans, and I was worried it'd be a pain to keep connecting and disconnecting from my iPhone / iMac, but it's been an absolute breeze. These Sony's play nice with Spotify, and even if you've turned them off, put them in your bag, and then an hour later whip them back on your head and tap the ear cup to play; it'll pick up right where you left off. It just works. I've had portable bluetooth speakers that make an absolute saga out of connecting and reconnecting, and these cans just handle it effortlessly. The range is amazing too; I can go anywhere in my 3 story building and not lose connection. In fact, I've yet to lose connection once.My only criticism would be that they can feel a bit bulky/heavy at times, which is fine for home use but might be a bit annoying if you wanted to walk/run/exercise with them regularly. It'd also be nice if they came with a hard case because the soft case they ship with wouldn't really protect them from anything other than dust and dirt. Finally the noise-cancelling doesn't hold a candle to the Bose QC25s. But that's it; they're otherwise perfect. For me, sound quality was most important and active noise cancelling was just a nice bonus, so the Sonys blew the Bose away on every other front. I've seen these going for £230 in local shops so at the current price of £170, they're an absolute steal.Just as an aside, the 'black' ones are actually a really tasteful space grey similar to the iPhone. See my photo.

These headphones are all round excellent. Great sound quality, decent(but not perfect) sound cancellation, battery life is never an issue. The sound on these are great, especially if you get the app and you play around with the settings you can fine tune it for whatever you like.Noise cancelling works really well, cancels 80% of noise and once music is on you barely notice the little bit of noise. However if walking and especially windy you get a whistling noise, but in the app there is a wind reduction setting which stops noise canceling but stops this from happening. Still pretty happy with the noise canceling overall.Touch controls are really useful, find myself using them all the time.Comes with a bag, jack cable and charging cable which is nice, charger is short though. Would highly recommend getting a hard shell case though , wish sony would provide one.I've never had an issue with battery life either , probably charge it once a week with heavy usage. Super comfortable too , hardly ever get discomfort with it .Also just really nice quality and seem very durable. All round great product

Got this product last christmas from Amazon warehouse deals - a great price and the packaging was only slightly damaged - other than that as new. Great deal!I bought these based off trying on headphones in store and these were my favourite over Beats and some other models there. The nose cancelling on these were by far the best out of what I'd call the mid tier priced options i was looking for (between £100-150)Overall no problems at all, very well built and connect to my Windows laptop and Android phone easily. The app is easy to use and lets you control base treble etc, as well as nose cancelling. The reason for not giving 5 stars is as others have mentioned, they are a little heavy, and rest on the bone under your ear which means after an hour to 90 mins max I feel like I need to take a break from them.Recommended!

Only just arrived today and I was very apprehensive about spending so much on a pair of headphones as I never usually spend more than £10.00 on in ear headphones. But after trying a friends wireless headphones and loving the freedom I decided to invest in some and do a bit of research. These were highly recommended by many online blogs and youtube channels so decided to take the plunge, and they did not disappoint.... I have never heard sound quality like it and the noise cancellation is incredible. However, the only thing I have to compare it to is the £10.00 cheap in ear headphones so if you are a professional you may have a better ear for the quality! The only down side is that I wish they came with a hard case as I would kind of expect to see something more than a little tote bag for the price bracket.

I really love these headphones, comfort, sound and noise cancelling are all excellent , unfortunately when recently doing workouts at the Gym the sound occasionally drops out on my iPhone XS and even worse with Apple Watch 4.I tried all troubleshooting tips such as re pairing , checking all firmware updates etc and I tried contacting Sony but with no success. As usual Amazon customer service have been brilliant, they have refunded me and I have re ordered a set of Bose earbuds so hoping for more successNB I would definitely recommend these for noise cancelling quality and General music listening say on a plane or daily commute ,I just don’t think they are up to being used during any significant activity.

I’m really impressed with these headphones. I’ve never had noise cancelling headphones before and these have ultimately changed my audio experience going forward. I use them every day for approx 2.5 hours during my work commute. Simply incredible at blocking out annoying conversations on the train and other background white noise. I also love the wind reduction feature which is very affective when walking around the city. The battery life is good and so is the build quality. Sound quality imho is superb. I recently had to use my iPhone earphones for the day; the sound quality in comparison was tinny, I could hear everything happening outside, and they were so uncomfortable in ear after a length of time.

Excelent sound quality and good noise canceling (the difference on flights is night and day). Baterry life is more than sufficient (charge once per week with daily use at work) and I had no issue getting these to connect to both my laptop and phone. My only complaint is with the size of the headphones themselves, where my ear barely fits inside and the internal plastic "pyramid" that protects the speaker eventually presses into my ear with long term use (>2h), making them not that comfortable. For this reason, I'd recommend trying these out in a store before buying.

Superb sound (balanced with a slight hint of extra bass), class leading NC (wind NC is amazing, something that Bose QC35 and others cannot compete with), ambient sound function is great. The touch controls are iffy, I find then a little inconsistent. I prefer the implementation on the competitors. Where instead of up/down swipe for volume, they use a round circle clockwise/anticlockwise.Also to activate the wind NC you have to use the app, maybe it should be auto-detect or one of the options in the button.Google Assistant works flawlessly with speed.

Ok, so in terms of colour, I would say salmon, not red. That aside, it’s a good colour anyway. Really soft and comfortable and I wear them a lot. The charge is good and long lasting. Charging cable is not very long though, so you couldn’t wear whilst charging with provided cable. Sound quality is good and noise cancellation works well. I’m getting the hang of gesture control. Can confirm that walking in the wind is noisy and you can’t block that out. I would buy again and overall I’m very very happy with this purchase.

Bluetooth headphones have clearly evolved. Sound quality is excellent for price, clear and well balanced.Tested on action films, jazz, classical, pop, hovering, and even in the office.Yes the office... no need to suffer any more noisy humans ? who are oblivious to how loud they really are. The sound cancelling is good and very good on consistent mechanical noises.Doing housework? No need to be deafened by your vacuum any longer.Bluetooth range is long too.Very pleased with purchase.

17.5.2020

Easy to use, loads of features and the sound quality is really impressive. You can adjust the volume, start/stop music, skip forward and rewind all with a simple gesture on the side of the headphones. Making calls is easy, and the quality of audio for both talking parties is good. The smartphone app is easy to use and lets you adjust the equaliser and other sound settings. It can focus on bass, for instance, or focus on spoken language, ideal for listening to audiobooks or podcasts.

8.3.2018

Noise cancelling (for trains, planes etc.) and Wind Noise Reduction (for walks to work) are better than anything I've experienced and well worth the extra money.I've read some reviews stating the headphones are heavy and clunky, but I've had no issues. Very comfortable, even after extended periods of time.Sound quality is great too, which you would expect from any Sony headphone, but it's the additional features that really makes these stand out and worth the investment.

21.3.2020

Very easy to pair with different devices. Wind cancellation feature brilliant for walking. Bass and sound quality are very good.Very comfortable to wear even over long periods and very good battery life.Only improvement would be to add a noise cancelling option which targets voices specifically, as voices can creep through if music isn’t loud enough.

13.5.2019

These headphones do everything they say they do. Well made and cool looking the sound quality is amazing and once you have them on with all the outside noise cancelled out you can drift away and listen to your music. They are wireless but there is a wire to connect to your devises, if you want. 5 out of 5 from me.
