These wire strippers have provided me with some of the best times I've had in a long time. On their own they are mildly interesting. The pincers remind me of some flat predator with no throat or internal organs. A sort of immortal killing machine who chews up its victims not because it is required to do so for nourishment, but instead because it gives it some kind of sick pleasure. The blue handles are the colour of dead bodies, as if the creature is using the dead to prop itself up for its next attack. This gives you a little scare using it, a short rush of adrenaline as you think it may turn on you at any time. However, this rush is only short lived as you realise it is just a normal pair of wire strippers.Where these become really fun is when you add your own sound effects. I have found that adding a "bzzzt" sound when you cut any wires, (even non-live ones), makes you feel like you are some kind of super hero, impervious to even large electrical shocks. A loud "whoosh" noise when you strip a wire gives you a sense of wielding some celestial power tool, the likes of which hasn't been seen since Hephaestus crafted the thunderbolt for Zeus. I have found many other sounds can be applied when using this tool. In fact, while some sounds work better than others, the tool has never rejected any sounds. I tried testing some sounds which didn't seem apt. While stripping a 0.5mm wire I tried a short "moo" noise and, while not really making it too exciting, the wires stripped fine. I'd highly suggest that everyone buy these and experiment. You lose nothing if you fail but you stand to gain hours of fun.

I just rewired a load of spotlights and had to trim various wires, this worked perfectly and is so much easier than using pliers or wire cutter. There are many holes to put the wire in, this is great however they are all very close to each other so it is easy to pop in the wrong hole and cut the wire through. Not really a fault, just an inevitable consequence of having many hole widths, just have to be careful using it.It also took me ages to work out how to release the safety catch, instructions do not explain. Clue: If you look at the product photo you need to get the catch into the position shown.

its not often i use a tool like this, so i looked for a cheap pair and these are exactly what i required they do the job required, but for frequent use maybe a little flimsy. why buy a rolls royce and drive like a mini. very happy with purchase.
