I’ve had these scales for a few weeks now and it’s got me back into baking with ease. The scale is slim and small in size, so it doesn’t take up much space on my worktop so I’ve kept them out. It’s a bonus that they match my kitchen, the glass and chrome/silver edging would match most modern kitchen as it has that high polished look. The scale itself is so simple to use and clean (most importantly); I just wipe it down with a sponge. I use my own mixing bowl, then set it to zero and I can add ingredient after ingredient, just set it to zero each time you add something new, and you won’t need extra bowls - saves on the washing up too. The scales also measure liquids - another great feature.

This kitchen scale is solidly built, slim and compact. It slides neatly into my cutlery drawer so it's constantly accessible. I was using a similar platform scale (also from Salter) before, but this one is an improvement, due to the smooth wipe clean surface. Also the measurements are more useful, in that the scale goes to minus figures if you take something off, so it remembers what was previously on it.The measurement conversions (grams, mls, ounces and fluid ounces) are not entirely brilliant. Because 1ml of water weighs 1g, so you only need to weigh water to convert it very easily in your head- meaning the ml conversion is completely unnecessary, when it comes to water.

These are a great set of kitchen scales, with plenty of nice touches to make them useful. They are really well made, as I'd expect from Salter, and I can see them lasting for a long time.I like the design, it's clean and sleek, and will fit well in just about every style of kitchen. The display is large and easy to see, and the buttons are responsive and have a nice action.The scales have a weight limit of 5kg which is great (can't imagine I'd ever need to weigh much more than that) and the weighing surface is large enough to fit any of my bowls/pans on so no troubles there.They have the normal features, and I tested the accuracy on some weights we have in the house and they were consistent and precise.All in all a good set of kitchen scales,

This is an attractive set of digital scales to have in your kitchen but is also useful in an office where parcels need to be weighed or we also used it for bags of money to check they are full when counting up from a charity event!It is easily wipe clean and the buttons to switch on and zero/change the measurements are simple to use even with a big bowl is sitting on top. The scales appear to be reasonably accurate when checked with some tester units and brass weights.Definitely pleased with the scales so far.

Being a keen cook and home baker I rely on a good set of kitchen scales. These definitely do the job. They are very easy to use and the screen is so easy to see and read. I really like the fact that you can add ingredients to the bowl without having to weigh them separately. These scales are easily cleaned with damp cloth. Easy to read and store set of scales that comes complete with batteries too.Wipe clean and easy to put bowl onto it and still see the readings clearly. Comes with 15 year guarantee but how wrong can a scale go? A well name brand that have used in the past and these digital scales seem to have a modern look to them but do seem expensive. One of those items if buying as a present would be ideal as white and a design that would go in any kitchen style.

It does exactly what you need from a set of scales: it measures. No more, no less. It's a nice size for storing in the drawer and very useful with the 5kg limit as I can weigh things directly into the saucepan, etc. Buttons are easy to use and it's intuitive.It isn't fancy but it is a good, solid set of scales. Quite a nice little set of scales, supplied with the batteries it needs. Of interest is that it can use metric, imperial (including fractions like 7/8ths etc.) and somehow, metric liquid volume units, although I'm unclear on how it does this; surely liquids have different densities (and therefore masses) depending on what the liquid is ?Nonetheless, it works fine and is unobtrusive in the kitchen.

Got the new aquatronic salter 5 kg scales last week and being a keen baker couldn't wait to try them.I was really impressed by them, they made things so much easier as you can weigh everything in one bowl dry ingredients to wet with there fantastic floz and ml features.Plus they save on washing up . This is a quality kitchen tool for weighing ingredients, put a container on, hit the button and ingredients, simple as that. Easy to clean as well.4 stars fit design as buttons should be on the side, easy to hit accidentally but easy once it's been used a few times. Great to have for any recipes, changes diet when you know how much your really making and probably wasting to boot.

Large clear backlit display, and tray is large enough that the display isn't obstructed when you put a plate or bowl on it. Uses standard AA batteries rather than coin cells, which is a plus. Only downside is the zero setpoint doesn't always seem stable - you zero it, weigh something, and when you take it off, the scale shows a reading of a few grams, and you need to re-zero it.

The Salter Electronic Kitchen Scale is stylish, super slim, light and easy to use. It can be placed anywhere in the kitchen because of it's size. The weighing display shows clear and bright, measurements can be converted from g, oz, ml, and fl.oz. This Salter scale is an upgrade from the existing model that I have had for some years. The new fluid measuring feature is very useful and the larger surface area is great. Also it doesnt seem to matter where you put the item on the surface of the scale, the weight is always the same. I am very pleased with this item. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The thing that pleased me the most about these scales was the design - so pretty I almost want to have them out on display all the time! The digital display is also really easy to use and self-explanatory, and the surface is easy to wipe clean (thoroughly tested after a sticky syrup spill on first use!).
