These digital scales are very nice, they look nice and work very well, also they are light in their weight at only 450g, that’s with the batteries installed.And the other thing I like about these scales is that the digital LCD display, has a Blue backlight which is great for people like me with poor vision, the size of the digital display is as follows in its width it is 6.2cm, and in its length it is 2.8cm, so it is a nice large LCD.The digits on the LCD display are nice and large too, they have the following size in length they are 2.2cm, and in their width they are 0.9cm.The size of the whole digital scales is as follows, in their width they are 18.7cm, and in their length they are 21.7cm,and they have a depth of 1.3cm on their main body.The top of the digital scales is finished off in brushed stainless steel, so they are very easy to keep clean should they ever get dirty, and the whole of the top surface can be used to weigh your things.The digital scales also come supplied with three AAA type batteries, so they scales are ready to start using straight away, no need to worry about buying batteries, just pull out the plastic active battery tab, that hangs out of the battery compartment, and you can begin to use the scales, as the batteries will now be in contact with the battery terminals, inside the battery compartment.On the top of the scales towards the bottom, on either side of the digital LCD display you have two buttons, to the right you have the On/Off/Zero/Tare button, I find the Tare function very hand and the set to Zero option, so if you have something very large to weigh, which will not fit on the scales you can place something on the scales, that will take the thing you want to weigh, then you can Zero it’s weight and then place the thing you want to weigh on that, and get the weight.Then the button to the left is your Unit button where you can choose between, Grams, Ounce, Pounds and Ounces, and Millilitres and one I use the most Fluid Ounces, so you have plenty of options to choose from.You can weight on any area of the stainless steel top, and you will get an accurate reading, so you can even place on the scales large wide diameter bowls.The digital scales have a automatic power off function, for when they are not being used so they will save the power in your batteries, so you will get a much longer life span from your batteries.On the back of the digital scales you have four padded anti slip corner feet, they have a diameter of 0.9cm, and do help keep your scales in the one place while you are using them.The digital scales come with a Two year replacement warranty, so you cant go wrong when buying these scales, just keep your receipt as proof of your date of purchase, or scan it or screenshot your Amazon order, also if you register your product on their website, you will get an Extended Warranty.

Again, I was impressed with the speed of Amazons 'free' delivery, and packing was sufficient to prevent any damage.In the brown card box (with some printing on), the scale is even better protected, and comes with a little card about writing a review and a easy to read manual.I only read the manual before writing this review to make sure I'd understood the rather intuitive controls properly.So out of the box, take the battery cover off, remove the plastic tab preventing the batteries draining, replace the cover and it's ready for use.A quick disclaimer here. I don't cook much. This item was more of a 'filler' to get me over the UK £20 order value for free delivery.So I can only compare it to the old plastic mechanical (spring based)

I bought these scales to replace my old manual ones which had become unreliable. Now, with these, my baking turns out perfect! Just put your bowl on the scales, press the 'tare' button to zero the weight and add the ingredients - nothing could be simpler! Great results every time! It responds to the lightest touch and works perfectly and the best thing about it is that it uses batteries that are regularly available in the shops, unlike some of the other brands which often use obscure and difficult to obtain or expensive batteries.It is slim enough to store behind a chopping board and wipes clean easily but, regarding what other people have said about it scratching,

We should have bought one of these years ago, I love the fact you can take off the weight of the container, for example when I do rice I just put the saucepan on the scale empty and press tare button and it goes back to zero then I add the amount of rice I require then just pour in into the sieve, and when I do pastry I put the empty mixing bowl on the scale and press tare, then add the required amount of flour, then press tare again and add the required amount of butter, then press tare once more and press the required amount of lard, all done in one bowl on the scale, Brilliant. Fantastic service from this supplier. Item arrived on time and beautifully packaged. The box was a real joy to open and made the product extra special. A bit like Apple with all their products - they believe in presenting their products beautifully packaged so it makes you want to keep it. When you open the box and take the scales out of the inner packaging, the quality of the item almost takes your breath away. It is superb and I do not know how they produce such quality for the price. The battery is already inserted and all you have to do is to pull a tab out through the battery compartment and you are ready to go. The buttons and a very comfortable size and easy to press and very responsive.

I recently started a diet nd wanted to get off on the right foot so I bought a blender but my old scales were older than dirt and the measurements were not quite right so I spent ages looking at reviews for scales and decided to try these. Have to say Best Buy I have made in a long time, the scales are light weight and so easy to use. I take a tub out of the cupboard every morning and I put it on the scales then I hit the tare button which resets it to zero so that my food is the only thing its weighing (this was a nightmare with my old scales) then I just fill the tub with my food until I hit the amount I need. Once done I take them the tub off hit the tare button again to reset to zero and done.

This is the first time we have deviated from Salter, and we are pleased that we did. We decided to move away from Salter due to reliability issues (although to be fair they were always replaced under warranty without question) and the fact that there are either some very good copies of Salter scales going for half the price or someone else is making and rebranding them.We ordered two of these and so far my partner and I have been very happy with them. We do a fair bit of home cooking and baking so consistency is important and these scales fair better than our old ones did (we noticed a strange temperature dependency on the Salter's that we haven't seen with these),

This is a lovely scale. The design is beautiful, very elegant in the silver that I bought.I have ran a few tests with it and each time it is spot on, which is a relief as my Morphy Richards one had started giving false read outs. It has 'four modern high precision sensors' which definitely work.The touch sensitive buttons really do make use easy and the option to swap between pounds, ounces, grams and millilitres. I really like this compared to mechanical scales as reading recipes from the Internet often swap between different measurements.The tare function works well, which is great when making cakes. 7 tests using it all worked out well, accurate and tasty to try ;)It's nice and easy to clean,

My salter scales packed in last week so I needed a new set. This one came up as a best seller and though I didn't know the brand the reviews were all good . They were slightly more expensive than the salters but as these have only lasted a couple of years I took the risk . I can't comment on the longevity but there's a 2 year guarantee so this may cover it. It's really smart looking , bigger than my others so I can see the weights with a big bowl on it and the numbers are big so I can read them if I forget my glasses. So far it's easy to use and to clean - how can a serious cook avoid mess ? Definitely looks better and works fine so far and I use scales a lot .

This is a great product and excels on all aspects. I was looking for scales that show negative weights (my previous Salter scales didn't) and this product does this, which gives you the option of weighing out of a packet (put your bag of flour on the scales, press to zero, then as you spoon out into your bowl the amount of flour taken is shown as a negative weight). The scales are also slightly larger than most others; they look good with a smooth brushed metal finish all over; the two buttons are a nice size with a pleasing click action; and the display is big with a bright blue background and with the optimum viewing angle forward of the unit where you tend to be standing and means that you

These are lovely stylish looking scales with the added bonus of being a great size. I have weighed bulkier items on them, and used them to add ingredients directly to the saucepan, and I can still actually see the read out on the display – which I used to struggle with on my old smaller digital scales!I have also found them to be great for weighing out small amounts of cooking and baking ingredients as they have a good measurement range. I have not yet needed them to measure out fluids but if I encounter any issues with them I will come back and edit this review.The nice flat surface is really easy to wipe and clean.

The scales look good, strong and serviceable. The top is easy to clean and the display is large and easy to read. This is to replace a similar kitchen scale that gave good service but eventually the feet support plastic became brittle and collapsed. If this scale give as many years of service then it will be good value for money. Everything looks strong and good. I like the ml and fluid ounce settings, in essence just grams and ounces under a different name as both measurements are based on the weight of water but they give you confidence when making measurements in these units.

A fantastic quality kitchen scale. The display lights up, and from a quick play around, seems easy to navigate. The tare function works well, and the ability to read to the nearest gram is very helpful when dealing with precise baking measurements (or in my partner's case, measuring out hops for his home brews!). The stainless steel top makes these scales look very upmarket, as well as making it very easy to clean. I'm really pleased with this purchase - for a set of cheap kitchen scales these will more than do the job.

Excellent scales. They have proper batteries so should last quite a while (unlike our previous scales with two CR2032 batteries which only seemed to last a few weeks). Also, unlike our previous scales, the display doesn’t cut out after a minute - this gives you time to add ingredients from different containers to a mix without the scales dying on you.The only very slightly negative point - the weighing surface does seem to scratch quite easily which is a shame because they are good looking when new.

These are fabulous scales! The scale is very easy to read (large numbers/ back lit), and it is easy to zero the counter and change the measurement e.g from grams to ounces. The surface is large so can handle a large mixing bowl, for example, with ease. The smooth surface is easy to wipe clean, and they lean nicely on their side in our cupboard. All in all, my husband and I have been quite relieved that our previous set of scales stopped working, as it gave us the opportunity to buy these great ones!
