These trail running shoes are a great design for anyone that likes to get off the beaten track and potentially find themselves out in inclement weather. The Goretex-lining is a big plus as there’s nothing worse than running and getting your feet wet and continuing to try to run like that as it’s not really that good for your feet.They are a sturdy design with a fairly flat sole platform and an even distribution of grips - this is good as it helps to provide a stable base and gives you added confidence when you plant your foot. There is a couple of fairly minor reflective parts to the sides of the trainers which might help visibility to road-users in poorly-lit environments.The colourway on these trainers is quite attractive without being too in-your-face,

The colour of this trail running shoe is insanely good, bright and bold! Everything but plain.They are comfy, I have been able to run in them from day one, no wearing in time needed.They are super grippy, tested in the rain, in mud, slippy rocks, icy roads and perfect grip compared to my normal trainers where I’m all over the shop.Perfectly waterproof, they’ve kept my feet dry on several rainy muddy runs, even through a giant puddle where I thought it was inevitable my feet were going to be soaked, but no!My only gripe with these trainers is that they fit incredibly small. I’m usually size 5-6, most size 6 shoes are too big, I know with running shoes they say add extra room, so I went with a size 6.

I am very much enjoying using these running trainers for several reasons.Firstly I love the colours. The teal green and the purple are vibrant and the sort of colours I love. They stand out and look really cool.I love the fit. I have a 6.5 and having the extra half a shoe size on my normal size gives my feet space whilst running to fit a decent running sock without being too big.I love that they do not rub at all. In the summer I spent a significant amount of money on brand running shoes based on the advice from a running shoe shop specialist and they have rubbed my feet raw. These however at almost half the price have not rubbed at all. I have used them both on the treadmill and outside.I like the support they offer.

These are really great trainers and have been much needed in the crazy, rainy weather we've had lately. I'm not a massive fan of the blue colour, I think I'd have preferred pink but they're very striking and I've actually had a few compliments on them as they're unusual.As waterproof goes these have actually done me proud walking through puddles in torrential rain I've not had wet feet and they've been immensely comfortable on long walks. They're cushioned enough to not cause the ball of my feet to ache and haven't rubbed. They add a bit of a spring to your step and have a very durable, grippy sole for walking on slippery grass and up banks etc, I'm a big walker and these have survived mud,

My wife was really impressed with these. She really liked the colour scheme, purple and a sort of greeny bluey turquoise, and she liked the lightness, at just under 300gm for a shoe (size 6.5). The knobbly contagrip sole has incredible grip, making for confident running now it has gone colder and there's a chance of ice and mud. The gore-tex material is waterproof and kept her feet dry in the wet grass. She thought that the size 6.5 was a perfect fit, she mostly takes a 5.5 to 6 in a shoe but prefers her running shoes slightly bigger, they don't have lots of padding but are very comfortable nonetheless. Overall great running shoes but also smart enough for casual wear.

I waited until I'd run in these bad boys a few times before leaving an honest review based on utility, rather than just how they looked in the box. Firstly, they do look great, the colours are just fab and they're really stylish. Secondly, they are lightweight, support the foot and ankle well, and I love running in them! they're goretex, so you can run through puddles and mud in these, and your feet stay dry. as others have said, order a half size up to allow for socks, as these fit perfectly in a half sixe bigger than my normal size. I would highly recommend them, and they were recommended to me by a great running friend, so I knew they must be good. Pass it on!!

I read reviews so I knew about small sizing. I wear uk size 7 so I ordered the 7.5 which are perfect with thin socks. I already have Salomon Bondcliffe trainers so comparing the two, I’d say these are marginally less comfortable but more robust for winter. I do a lot of Scottish hillwalking but I would only wear these after very dry weather, on the hills. I am also not a fell runner. I do,however, walk a lot on forest trails and in city parks. They are perfect for my active lifestyle and I’d probably wear these in the Dolomites on holiday as they are light too.

These are gorgeous running shoes. They look amazing - such gorgeous colours, which are bold and exciting. But that would be nothing if they didn't feel great to wear or weren't good at gripping the path/road. However, they are great on both these counts as well. They are nicely padded inside the shoe, giving a really comfortable fit and they are light, so they don't weigh you down. The grips on the soles of the shoes, mean that your foot plants really well and gives great traction for running. All in all a gorgeous pair of running shoes inside and out!

This was my first time wearing a pair of Salomon trainers and they did not disappoint. The trailster GTX is perfect for trail running as they do live up to the water proof statement while also having excellent grip so you won't slide around on uneven ground. They're lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. As everyone else says it's best to go up 1 size from your regular. On top of the comfort and design, they also come in some great colours so you'll really stand out on your runs!

Great shoe, fitting on the wider side which is great for my feet. Lightweight and good off road through woods and paths. Neutral foot shape, could do with a bit more arch support. Heel possibly slightly too wide hence the 4 stars rather than 5 but otherwise good for an hours off road run. I’m normally a 6.5/7 EU size 40 and bought the size 7.

Really comfortable, cushioned against jarring on uneven terrain and good fit on heel. Never had this make before so you wonder about the sizing. Sole very nice indeed. Like tie laces as you can easily adjust them how you want. Love the colour. Arrived quickly. Very pleased with the shoes. Would recommend.

Love these shoes as someone with weak ankles and arthritic joints - they provide comfort, cushioning and most importantly, stability, on all terrains. Haven't tested the water-proof feature yet but the quality is superb. Just suggest you go up a half or full size if you wear thicker socks.

Bought this for myself as I am training for Wolf Run in April. They are so comfortable and really good that they come in half sizes so the fit is perfect for me. So good that I am already thinking of ordering a second pair for when these wear out! Would highly recommend.

So, I went up half a size, my wide feet are thanking me. I have used these straight out the box for a 5 mile trail run in the rain. I felt secure, not once did I slip or feel unsteady on the terrain. These are great, they look great too.

I really like the trainers. I have tried them already in muddy and wet condition and it kept my feet dry and comfortable. I would recommend to go for extra size up as I am 6.5 and I have ordered 7.5 and it fits perfectly
