We selected this toaster because it has the “lift and look” function: difficult to find on cheaper models. I’m quite fussy/borderline perfectionist with toast and I’m always fiddling about, checking the progress of my slices! Therefore this model was perfect for us. Looks great in the kitchen, fits neatly on the shelf, toasts evenly when 2 slices are in it ( I find with all toasters that a single slice in a 2 slice toaster needs flipping half way through to avoid one overdone side) A good buy.

Love this toaster, toasts evenly, has a lift up facility to check on brownness whilst still cooking without having to stop it and it has a frozen button to press if bread is frozen so you don’t have to adjust the timing button - fab! My only downside is, it had a sticker on the front which has left a mark/shadow that no amount of cleaning comes off :( I’m hoping it will fade in time but it does seem to mark quite easily.

Makes toast! I like having a range of widths for my bread, crumpets, etc, and can get smaller items out using the lift and look system. Won't toast a whole slice of bread from a standard 800g loaf, need to turn the bread upside down to do the slice evenly. But if you're on a budget and not in a hurry, it's fine. Looks good, I have a kettle from the same range and it matches well. Why pay more?

This was bought at the same time as the Russell Hobbs stainless steel kettle. The toaster is more of a brushed stainless steel than the kettle, but close enough.Takes a bit of getting used to when toasting one slice as it does one side more than the other. We like it's features: buttons for frozen bread and re-heat, and the ability to lift bread mid-toasting. Overall we would recommend it.

This toaster is light to handle and has several features which are useful. Wider slices of bread can be toasted, it has a frozen button and also a reheat button.One negative is that sometimes it doesn’t seem to toast fully even though the highest setting is used.When that happens I just pop it back for a minute and it’s okay.Generally I’m happy with this product.

This toaster is a combination of a smart design, excellent toasting quality but very small slots. It does fit a normal sliced loaf and is wide enough for bagels etc but the slots are very small across the width of the toaster. This means a slice from bread you cut yourself is too long to go in and has to be partly toasted standing up removed then placed in upside down.

So far I'm very happy with this toaster - it looks good and toasts both sides of the bread well. I like the notch in the dial - it helps you to know which setting you are on (with my old toaster, the mark on the dial wore off, so it was guesswork. Now I can feel the setting position easily).I didn't want to spend too much on a toaster and this one is good value.

An Excellent Toaster by Russel Hobbs, retaining traditional charm with modern efficiency. This toaster does exactly what it is meant to toasting bread or buns exactly as the setting, browning each side of a slice equally. IF YOU WANT A TOASTER THAT DOES WHAT IT IS MEANT TO AT A REASONABLE PRICE, THEN LOOK NO FURTHER BECAUSE THIS IS IT! WELL DONE RUSSEL HOBBS ! !

Main thing is, it actually toasts bread pretty evenly, tight up to the top. Should be a given for a toaster, right? - yet thinking about it, my previous 3 or 4 toasters left an untoasted band of an inch or two at the top of the slice, even for moderately sized bread. So, well done, Russell Hobbs, you got that nailed! It looks OK, too. Recommended.

Great little toaster it's perfect for me makes great toast you can regulate how brown you want pops up every time looks very nice with my stainless steel kettle a good match Russell Hobbs is a very good name top quality always also stays cool on the outside not like my last one would definitely recommend my little toaster.

This toaster is neat, brushed steel and toasts fairly evenly. One of the best features is that you can use the lever to raise the toast to see how it’s doing without switching off. (This doesn’t appear in the handbook!). It doesn’t take extra large slices or very thick items. Otherwise it’s a very good value toaster.

Chose it for my needs and does exactley what I expected of it although I wouldn't recommend it for a family every day .but for a single person it's ideal .Like the idea of looking at the toast to get it exactley brown to liking without switching of the elements and the frozen to toast bread setting .

Stainless steel matches our kettle. The slots are nice and wide to take rolls or tea cakes. I like the look and see feature just to check how brown it is. Defrost and warming features are good extras. Much better than our old one, how did we manage?

This toaster does everything I need with no frills; its got a pleasing aesthetic and feels solid enough, the slots are perhaps a little tight though the bread fits just about. The ability to lift and inspect without cancelling is a nice touch.
