This is literally the best toaster I’ve ever bought in my 25 odd years of grown up toaster buying! Never have I had a toaster that fits those ginormous sideways sliced loaves. It’s amazing and has a cool little function whereby you can half lift up the lever at the end to check on the level of toastiness of your toast without cancelling the toast cycle and having to start again by guessing how much more toasting it needs! You just lift, check your toast and then return to original position and you cycle completes. I’ve toasted bagels, waffles, crumpets, the largest sliced bread I could find and even a frozen pizza in a roasting bag - it toasted them all with ease and then it seemed to smirk at me as if to say ‘is that ALL you got!’.Seriously though,

Want can I say, well this toaster has to be the holy grail of toasters...at last a toaster that has capacity to fit tall bread in, even the odd slice of unsliced loaf cut an inch thick...no problem. ?The controls are easy to understand and it has many other functions....I like the what I call the peek-a-boo function....where you can simply raise the the handle to take a look at how he bread is doing. The element inside heats up quickly and evenly and every part of the element works unlike other inferior toaster which toast partially.The stainless casing in easy clean and it looks quite futuristic as its sits easily amongst my other kitchen gadgets.

I bought this Breville toaster as a replacement and to match a stainless steel kettle (of the same brand) i had already purchased and I am glad i did - it looks very stylish, feels solid and is easy to use. As the product states, it is tall enough to actually toast the whole slice of bread, and has a handy @lift & look' feature which lets you lift the bread out of the toaster at any point without cancelling the operation, and this has proved to be very useful whilst getting used to the browning controls (which is alwasy a bit of 'trial & error with new toasters). The cord is a good length and any excess sits tidily under the base, so no trailing wires on the worktop.

This is the BEST toaster I have ever owned and Ive had a lot of toastersIts when you have to dig thick crumpets or scones out of them with a knife that does them in,Ive had this toaster for a few weeks now and I have never had a problem it takes the whole slice of bread or thick crumpets and toasts beautifully I keep it on the setting suitable for crumpets so when I do toast I don't like it burnt so I pop it up to check the progress It toasts in no time so I watch it wilst I'm making my drink it's a lovely looking machine I am very happy with it

I have been looking for the right toaster for years and this one comes highly recommended, with a deep drop this Toaster does all your bread evenly whether you want it mildly done or very well done, you can bring your toast up without stopping the cycle or to keep the one slice warm whilst you butter the other one and it pops up long before burning anyway, this is the perfect toaster and I love it and so too will you too if you purchase, am very pleased and use it daily when I am not working or on a late shift

I've had this quite a while now and still looks like new, I know the stainless steel can be off putting but it really does clean up well with no effort, this toaster cooks all kinds from any size bread to crumpets, just be carful with the timer as I found , it is quite quick especially on normal size bread and warburtons teacakes, it's easy to clean as it has a small tray at the bottom to catch the crumbs, I would recommend this product to family and friends, as for the price I thought it was reasonable.

So bought this as its designed specifically to toast fully warbutons toasties bread. It does manage to achieve this leaving about half a cm of untoasted area at the top but this is still miles better than other toasters I have used. It's pretty big the toaster, it's a very shiny finish, there's a handy defrost option, and the browning scale is very wide so you should be able to toast to your desired level. One thing that could improve it is a toasting rack for warning stuff like buns, doughnuts

Who pays £100+ to toast bread, when even that price gets negative reviews. £30 is fine for me.First thing about this toaster is the size -I have hired car in Cyprus smaller than this. My old toaster didn't do large slices and I had to cut off 1/2 inch before toasting, then I switched to smaller sized loafs which is fine but no good for a man-sized bacon butty. This toaster solves that issue.It's basic but do I need bagles, re-heats -NOIt toast OK and the "check how we're doing" is useful.

It's been my mission for years to find a toaster to fit Warburtons bread, and here it is!!My old toaster had started to toast unevenly so I looked on Argos and couldn't believe it when I spotted this one. I was looking for a 4-slot really (but the reviews were a bit hit & miss about toasting one side more than the other). I saw they made a 2-slot version and the reviews were really good.It does indeed toast to the very top of a Warburtons slice, and evenly on both sides. It looks good too.

Bought this for my mum - easy to use, does the job. Browns evenly and has nice big slots for any size bread. I cant stand toast which doesn’t toast to the edges but this one does the job nicely. Bit big for a 2 slice but if you like slices of thick toast then its perfect. Looks way more expensive than it was, gives my wildly expensive toaster beginning with ‘D’ and ending in ‘Lit’ a run for its money in the looks department. I could buy about 6 of these for the same price and next time I will

I'm delighted with this toaster. It toasts evenly and fits larger pieces of bread that have become common in supermarkets.. Smaller slices pop up easily too so there's no reaching into the toaster to retrieve them. I really like the fact that the controls are on the side with the lever. My reason for not giving 5 stars for design is that I would like to have the option of buying a black or matt toaster (to avoid finger marks), but that's personal preference, and the silver still looks smart.

We bought this to replace our dead toaster which had accommodated Warburtons and other large loaves well, it seems that few of the present crop do so any more. Browning is reasonably even, although we have seen burning on one side on the second or third cycle.We gave 4 stars for features because our old toaster had a muffins setting which was ideal for crumpets & teacakes, which this lacks. However you are able to lift the bread to check on progress without cancelling the browning cycle.

This Breville toaster looks great - if a bit on the large side! - and will suit any style of kitchen. Design wise, the markings around the temperature control knob are tiny but it's not a major issue. The lever that lowers your bread needs pushing quite far down for it to 'latch' but does not feel hugely robust. That aside, the toaster works perfectly well and handles everything from thin slices to doorstops. It's easy to use, does what a toaster should and looks smart, so I'd recommend it.

Shame really, we expected a little better performance from an established manufacturer like Breville. While it's not perfect it's very efficient at toasting everything but still fails to toast both sides evenly (can't be rocket science, or is it).So while it's not perfect, at least we're enjoying having the whole slice of Warburton's bread toasted from top to bottom. For this reason we would recommend this product to others, if they don't mind one side slightly better done than the other.

It's a big Bugger, does a really good job of evenly toasting the bread. And I absolutely love the ability to lift the toast up to check on it's Browning progress without it turning off and losing the heat. But now I have found my perfect colour setting I tend not to do as often. It does have other features but as yet I have had no reason to use them. Almost forgot as it says on the box takes Big Big slices of Bread. So if you're fussy about your Toast you want one of these. Enjoy.
