After over two years of a nasty, recurring skin infection around my terrier's mouth, my vet *eventually* suggested a hypoallergenic food - but not until after hundreds of pounds had been spent on a never-ending round of various antibiotics, a biopsy and all kinds of washes and creams. After some research I settled on Canin's Hypoallergenic - it's now 4 weeks since pooch has been on this food, and his mouth has been infection free for the first time since he acquired his allergy. I can't tell you how much of a relief this is - for the dog AND myself (and my bank balance). I was just about to embark on spending hundreds of pounds on allergy testing (I was advised that even this may not get to the bottom of the issue)

i brought this as my GSD has a bacterial over growth in his stomach and was very skinny due to his illness so the vet gave him antibiotics and steroids and advised me to change his food to the hypoallergenic food so i did and my GSD loves the food he cant get enough of it and he no longer wants the wet food as he would never just eat dry biscuits before but now he only has the dry food so in long run it works out cheaper. and after a week of being on this food his fur is so much better condition and he has put on loads of weight and seem so much happier. i highly recommend this food i no its expensive but is worth spending the extra pennys to see such an improvement in both appearance and health.

Kibbles are small and flat discs (much like size of 5p pieces). Dog took a while nosing it about but now eats it.Good value large bag lasting small dog ages.I am not sure I see an improvement in allergies my dog was forever biting round her anal sacs, checked and emptied them but decided maybe it was diet, my toy dog also has chronic runny eyes and itchy paw pads on and off, but eyes are less runny and dog seems well on it.

Excellent product, suits my two little chihuahuas perfectly. I bought it for one of my dogs that was suffering from hair loss, dandruff, itchy skin, watery and red eyes, lethargy etc, due to food allergies, all the fur has grown back looking even glossier than before, no dandruff or itchiness, eyes cleared up, energy levels back to normal, and the other dog loves it too so I don't have the hassle of feeding them separate food.

The vet put us onto this when my Jack Russell started to react severely to meat products (tricky for a canine!!) His skin begins to go pink, then red, then the itching and biting start. Now that he's on this hypo-allergenic diet, his skin remains pale and the irritation has subsided. The price of the product through Amazon is much more manageable, considerably less than what I was paying at the vets. So one satisfied customer.

One of my Pekingese was born disabled, and although he is a very happy boy he suffers from a variety of digestive problem including a deformed anus, he loves his food but reacts to too many changes, treats etc. This dry product is his very favourite , which makes feeding him something different to the other three dogs very easy ! ( although they also like some occasionally ! ) He is a picture of health at nearly 8 years old.

My pug likes these. Bought for a skin allergy but doesn’t stop the itching since he is allergic to outdoor substances like tree pollen and grass. Therefore he needs medication but the vet recommended a hypoallergenic food as well and said this one was fine. Difficult for me to judge the effectiveness of this food due to other factors affecting him but the dog likes them and hasn’t caused any further upsets.

The vet told me to buy this food for my dog who we suspect has a food allergy. She eats it all, the bowl is empty, the dog is not scratching as much and is definitely less 'windy'. I also use it for treats when we are out walking. The delivery was fast and was well packaged. I hadn't realised amazon sold dog food but the price and delivery were all favorable.

We have a little shi-chi who is a rescue dog. He came with skin problems and we were having to get Apoquel from the vets (which at £25 every 2 weeks is expensive) I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. Very happy as our Toadie has no more itchy or irritation.I understand this may not suit all dogs but so glad it's help our boy.

My dog was diagnosed with PAE just over a year ago, which means she cannot digest many types of protein. The dog isn't particularly keen on this food, but will eat it when combined with other foods (such as Chappie and baked white fish). Most significantly, perhaps, it is the ONLY food that has NEVER given her problems such as sickness or diarrhoea.

This food was perfect for my 17 year old Westie, she's been on hypoallergenic food for many, many years, she started on the larger sized pieces and larger sized bags but as she got older we swapped to this size. She always eaten it without any problems, After a long, healthy & happy life she's recently passed away so we won't be needing anymore :-(

I have a bichon frise who is prone to tear staining when fed the wrong food after 2 weeks on this food she was beginning to clear and now after 4 weeks she is completely white again and her skin is no longer irritated and the scratching and itching has stopped, plus she loves it, I would highly recommend this food and will be buying it from now on

My French bulldog has skin allergies and is prone to getting sore skin especially around the wrinkles on his face. I've been amazed at the difference feeding him this food has made, the redness and soreness around his wrinkles has completely cleared up. He also loves eating it. Though he's never been fussy about his food.

I feel my dog's coat has improved greatly - and she's put on a bit of much needed weight. Although she is medium sized dog, (whipper x lab) she prefers the small size food - it must be because it's easier to eat than the larger ones. I can't commend Royal Canin enough. Thank you.

I have a 3 year old Jack Russell who has been plagued with allergies. Tried many different foods but to no avail. Bought this product and dog loves it and has reduced his scratching by 95%. He is a much happier dog and I have been able to reduce and then stop his steroid tablets.
