I have other lipsticks from The Only 1 range an this shade is exactly what I was looking for. It is matte and a rich, deep brown. I am a middle-aged brunette with fair skin and freckles. I feel confident in this bold shade and have had compliments whilst wearing it.This lipstick glides on easily, but owing to its contrasting colour to my natural lip shade, it does need careful application, and preferably a lip liner. As a long time user of Rimmel products, I have found that Rimmel's 1000 Kisses lip liner in 'Cappuccino' works really well.It lasts for a good few hours, but does need reapplying after eating anything remotely greasy.I like the way the lipsticks in this range smell,

I'm a collector of purple lipsticks so I'm slowly making my way though every brand I can find of of lipstick hero 'heroine' by MAC this is a fab dupe colour of that fav Mac shade and I wear it as much as I do my mac...however as this is much cheaper I like to take Rimmel in case I misplace it and it's cheaper to replace than my mac fav version. It's long lasting looks great on darker skin tones (Mac NC50) and above.. the packaging is cute I love the retro design and the bright red tube...it's not over drying when wearing I forgot that I'm even wearing a matte lippy!! If you like Revlon Shameless/ L'Oréal Wuthering Purple / Milani Matte Glam or Kiko Unlimited Stylo 13 this is for you!

This is a beautiful, bold lipstick, I usually only wear anything on my lips for occasions and my go to is lipstain otherwise they never last more than an hour. This stuff though lasts hours before I feel the need to reapply and that's usually because it's faded slightly through smoking, eating or drinking.I forget I'm wearing it when I do as it dries feeling natural (as long as I blot once applied)The colour pictured is 'look who's talking' and was purchased as a gift for me, I will definitely be ordering a few other colours myself though as I love it so much.

This feels like a classy lipstick, and looks as though you would pay a lot of money for it. It isn't a chunky lipstick, and therefore you can be more accurate, and hopefully avoid the clown lips and lipstick on the teeth. It is small, so it fits easily into your pocket or small bag if you are out on a night time. However, I wouldn't say that a top-up would be needed as this is quite resistant. The colour is not an in-your-face colour, yet it is classy and pretty. It is obvious you have made an effort, without being too over the top. I would recommend this.

This is a long lasting matte lipstick that manages not to be drying. For me, that's not the same as saying it's moisturising - it doesn't feel creamy and moisturising - but it delivers long-lasting colour and feels smooth and light on the lips. Take the Stage is a classic red and is well pigmented so that one application is all that is needed. It's easy to apply straight from the tube with its slim stick format and it's good value for money at the price point just under £7.

I got the colour Matte Factor, which is a deep blue toned red. I have medium dark skin with warm olive/yellow undertones and it looks quite nice on me. It's matte, not a satin/shiny matte but just matte, which i really like, especially as it's not drying on me. I wore it for around 8 hours with a meal in between. I had a lipliner on underneath, but it was a cheap primark one. It lasted well, lipstick didn't come off completely but it just faded a bit. still looked good.

Leader of the pink is a lovely true pink. It provides really good cover which I would say is demi matt rather than completely matt. It is also still quite moisturising on the lips. Some matt shades can appear flat and feel so dry!What I would say though is that this does have a sort of plasticine smell. It's not off putting just an odd smell for lipstick. This might be because it's matt. The smell isn't strong and you don't smell it once the lippy is applied.

This has quite a strong unpleasant stench to it. It glides on easily but as you can see from the pic I added - it's definitely NOT matte. It's just like any regular lipstick that isn't marketed as matte. It does feel slightly dry on my lips and not long after applying, it starts to collect at the corners. This colour is "leader of the pink". One thing I will say is it does last quite a long time without having to reapply, even after eating messy foods.

I absolutely love this lipstick. I'm not overly keen on shiny/glossy finishes and so I usually apply lipstick and blot like mad to get a pleasing matte finish.But with this brilliant formula, you get the soft creaminess of a moisturising lipstick with a very matte finish.It's brilliant!The colour is beautifully pigmented, and there's a shade to suit nearly all skin tones. Great value too...no need for premium pricing.Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this product.Just searched Red lipstick and came across this. I’m in my 40’s and my lips aren’t what they used to be, I worried maybe a Matt lipstick was a no go but gave it a go as it was reasonably priced. Glad I did. It doesn’t bleed into fine lines, and stayed put for hours even after eating and drinking! No horrible coffee cup transfers’yes’ colour is really nice not garish at all .

Matte lipsticks have really moved on. This one is fantastic. I am a lover of matte lipstick but I hate the drying effect of it; it is fantastic that Rimmel have developed this one. I applies well and feels like a standard lipstick but has a great matte look. I adore the purple colour - takes me back to my 'goth' days! The purple is a light purple so keeps the colour up to date.

This lipstick is so lovely and I have a few of them in different colours, which are all beautiful. The lasting power is great and it can easily be touched up throughout the day without looking patchy. The seller was fantastic - extremely fast delivery and a great transaction overall. I'll definitely be purchasing this lipstick and other items from this seller in the future.

This lipstick in my opinion is the perfect shade of red. Not too light, not too dark. I've been looking for this colour for years and have found it at last. With it being matt is lasts a long time. I don't find it too drying, it's obviously slightly dryer than a gloss lipstick. Some people have said they don't like the smell. To me it smells like Refreshers sweets.

So happy to find this lipstick on Amazon. Bought it in Boots years ago and slowly wore it down to nothing. I bought the shade called 'High Flyer' and adore it. As well as wearing it as a matte lipstick, I also used it on my cheeks which worked so, so well as a lovely blush. It also has a wonderful, sweet aroma - which is a weird but welcome quality for a lipstick.

One of my favourite bullet lipsticks of all time. I have purchased and repurchased this for years. Not a lover of the new shape/packaging personally, but the lipstick itself is still the product I know and trust, especially as when I was buying it originally, matte lipsticks weren’t popular at all so a decent one was hard to find. I would recommend it to anyone.
