So Rimmel seem to be jumping on the selfie trend and appear to have launched a whole range to ensure you are "selfie" ready- little bit ironic as you're hardly going to catch yourself out if taking a selfie- still it is a thing and wheres theres a need, then there are products to be created! So this is a kind of standard face powder with a couple of changes. Firstly it is white, but it states translucent, but it is white in its packaging, which can freak you out a little. It doesn't come with a powder puff applicator as it recommends applying with a powder brush which I did.I swirled my powder brush over the powder and applied to my long lasting high end foundation- it did appear to lighten my foundation a little,

So I love this powder, it's really great. Keeps my skin matte and makeup in place even after a 12 hour shift, literally can't fault it.I have ready some reviews with people saying it makes your face white? Well I can see what they mean, but I think this only happens if you're using like way too much of it!What inspired me to actually write this review was tonight after work I decided to go for a swim. So I'd worked for 12 hours, then gone swimming without removing my makeup, I swam for about half an hour, and spent about 10 minutes of that time completely underwater. Like literally, I was practicing doing handstands and holding my breath, like a 10 year old child. I get out of the pool,

This setting powder is actually pretty good. It provides good coverage, fixing your foundation in place without changing its colour or appearance. However, if you over-apply this product then it does make your skin look cakey, highlights your pores, and generally does not give a great finish. It does not take long to get the hang of the correct quantity and look for your skin type, and the results are good. There is no applicator with this powder but considering the price, I do not find it an issue. It smells amazing, a beautiful floral aroma that was quite unexpected and makes application nicer than usual.

I bought this after using a Maybelline setting powder that was supposed to be translucent but actually left an orange tinge on my pale skin. This Rimmel powder really is translucent and does a great job of setting my makeup without adding any colour. Takes the shine away nicely. I will probably stick with this powder now. It doesn't leave a white hue, I would guess that people saying that are just putting far too much on. I used a very soft brush and applied it sparingly. It smells like most other Rimmel products, quite a strong smell whilst applying but can no longer smell it a few minutes later.

After quite a lot of use not much of the product has been used. The powder is definitely translucent as I have rather tanned skin and still looks natural. Takes away grease as I hadn't washed my hair in two days and needed to quickly use a product (don't use it on your hair, it's not for that but I was in an emergency) and it managed to absorb most of the oil without leaving my hair looking white. The scent is okay a little chemically but rather florally. It's not overpowering. I had to spell it close to see if it smelt. Good value for money!

This is a nice sized compact. The powder is white which concerned me a little at first but it needn't have, this powder went on seemlessly and instantly made my shiny nose nice and matte and blended it back in with the rest of my skin. You hardly need any of this powder so I can see it lasting a long time. This doesn't come with an applicator so you might want to invest in a brush (my choice) or sponge for ease of application.I really like this powder and would recommend it.

Normally I use mineral powder make up (especially in this hot weather) but occasionally for a bit more coverage I use a cream foundation, and have found this product to be excellent to sweep on afterwards, it fixes the foundation and mattifies the skin giving a nice even appearance. This one container is lasting quite a while and I like it a lot, definitely recommend if you like to 'set' your liquid foundation after application.

I bought this as a budget option to replace my YSL pressed powder. It definitely in the same price range, but it did not disappoint me at all. Although not a dupe, it performed quite similar to my YSL powder. In fact, I was surprised at how "blurred" my skin looked after applying it. It made my skin matte without making it look cakey and set my under eyes just as well. Highly recommend this as a drugstore option!

A good all round budget powder. It looks a little ghostly when you put it on the brush, but it smoothes on nicely onto the face and gives a transparent matt look. It also did a good job of minimising the look of pores.It lasted some time, before needing to be reapplied.I'm keeping this a a back up and a spare, because although it's an adequate product. I still prefer a little colour my normal powder gives me.

I had been recommended a clear powder to set my foundation and mattify my skin. Having shopped around and saw that some products were super expensive I wasn’t sure how this one would hold up for only £4.99, however it works like a dream. I suffer with naturally oily skin anyway, so needed something to give me that Matt look and this powder works perfectly. Plus it smells lovely too!

Really love this powder, think it's a great idea to have a mattifying powder that is translucent so it doesn't clash with your foundation colour, or do what my maybelline powder does and scatter little pink bits all over my eyelashes and lips when I use it in a hurry. I've also noticed this lasts a little longer than your average powder. Great for curing a shiny nose.

I've always suffered with oily skin, I've noticed over the last couple of years it has got worse and especially with wearing masks. Recieved this yesterday, and I've got to say I'm so impressed!!!! Its brilliant my makeup stayed on far longer and and my oily skin was 80% less than usual. Would 100% recommend, really pleased I've found this.

I have to say, I didn't expect much from such a reasobably pricedproduct but it absolutely does what it claims. I have oily skin which it completely mattifies. I also sometimes use a bb cream which leaves a glowy finish. Again, this mattifies the finish and it lasts all day. Brilliant.

Great value for money. Got this on a 30% deal. Absolutely love this. My 17yr old who is studying cosmetology recommended it. I am 49 and it sets your makeup beautifully and gives an overall blur effect on your face leaving you with a softer look to the skin. An absolutely great find!!

This is a really light translucent powder, which works really well to diminish shine and fix foundation, without looking powdery or caked when on. It also doesn't have that awful powdery smell that face powder sometimes has and comes in fresh, modern packaging. My teen loves it.
