Despite being a reissue of a Hasegawa kit, the Revell FGR2 is a decent kit with superb decals - the original Japanese kit was a bit of a let down in this respect. At just a few pounds more than the Airfix 72nd scale model, this is excellent value. The only minus points are the lack of intakes and exhausts if any length and a bizarre omission of Sidewinder missiles for the inner wing pylons. The SUU23/A gun may look a little stubby but photos confirm RAF phantoms carried this particular variety. Despite there being a few spares in other sprues, the more common pattern isn't among them, although parts for an FG1 are if you want to go for after market decals.Fit and panels are excellent in the

Brilliant kit for the money.Only just started modelling and this is my second kit build, so I can say with my hand on my heart this is a pretty awesome and easy kit to build, the only negative I found on this kit was the rear pins which you attach the rear stabilisers to the fuselage with, they are thin and flimsy, had to repair them twice whilst building despite being really careful.For the money you cant beat this kit, my model is built out the box, but some aftermarket decals for 19 squadron, mixture of home made and stolen from another kit.

This is a very good kit, nice details and good fitting parts. This is hardly surprising as this is a rebox of the excellent Hasegawa british Phantom kits. The decals are very good and overall is a very good model. Only minor gripe is the usual Revell end opening box so you cant use the box or box lid for keeping the assembled subparts together and is a fiddle to return the sprues to the box

This is an exceptional example of an RAF classic. There is great panel detail as well as crisp parts with very little or no flash at all. I have examined this kit but have not yet assembled it as I have a few other kits that are near completion but I am looking forward to adding this kit to my RAF jet era fighter display.

Nice to get my hands on what would have be an expensive kit otherwise as it is actually a Hasegawa kit, which always cost a bit more than I am willing to pay. Boxed as a Revell kit, the price is just right.

Excellent kit, great value for money, this is the second Revell FGR2 in 1/48. First model was built using third party decals, however intend to work straight from box.

Excellent kit, really good detail and no flash, as gar as i can see at the moment, will be a very enjoyable build.
