Ok. I have to say it. First of all, these are possibly the coolest looking headphones I have ever owned. They look (but don’t feel) heavy and well-constructed.When you first take it out of the box, you’ll need to read the instructions (!) which I normally never do. Why? Because the dongle is hidden INSIDE the headphones themselves. How many times have you put wireless headphones or keyboards away with the dongle next to them and then never been able to find the dongle again? Well, if you place the dongle inside the headset if you’re moving/storing them, this will never happen to you.The next thing you’ll have to do is charge the headset. It didn’t take long for me to see the green light – just about 30 minutes or so,although the recommended charge time is 4 hours. You’ll also have to install Razer 3 which allows you to configure the headsets. If you have older Razer devices, these may no longer be supported with Razer 3 so keep v2 installed as well.So now to the sound. When you put them on, they cover your whole ear. The pads are super-comfortable which means more game time (or video conference time). The weirdest thing is the haptic feedback. The phones vibrate on your head. Whilst this can be immersive for some people, it was a little distracting for me (even though I found the sensation really cool!).The bass is deep, the mid-range clear and the treble outstanding for digital headphones and that’s amazing straight out of the box. Volume, mute, balance is all controllable from the headset. You even get a removable wire which you can plug in to non-USB devices.Razer 3 which you need to install, also has a several configuration possibilities with this headphone. These settings are set per profile which can be assigned to a particular game or app which then activates immediately on launch.- Mixer: Which allows you to set Stereo or Surround sound manually for running apps as well as calibrate the surround sound.- Enhancements which allows you to set bass boost, sound normalization (smooths out changes in volume), voice clarity and haptic intensity (on a slider or off completely).- Equalizer- Mic settings (including ambient noise reduction and vocal clarity)- Lighting: for the cups – you have nearly unlimited possibilities to design the color sequences on the headphones- Power saving – which specified when the phone should switch themselves off.Coupled with other Razer products such as the Razer Chroma blackwidow keyboard, you can sync the colour scheme between both headset and the other devices all in a single profile. If you can’t already tell, I really love these headphones. They stand out amongst the others. They are super comfortable, have great sound and great design features as well as looking really amazing when playing games.VERY highly recommended and there’s absolutely nothing I didn’t like!

If you’re looking for a wireless gaming headset but you want something a cut-above the norm, this Nari Ultimate from Razer is a good effort. From a looks-perspective it maintains a sultry black appearance with the green Razer logo on the sides of the cans. It’s not too showy but you can tell that it is a device of substance and quality. The cans are quite sizeable so they carry a bit of heft. Being a wireless headset they are naturally going to be a bit heavier than a non-wireless variety. From a comfort perspective they are very good. The cushioning is supple and is relatively easy to get a good fitting. The pads contain gel within the padding which aids in creating a cooling feel - something which will be of importance to anyone who likes to engage in longer-stints of gaming as I’ve had first-hand experience of wearing a budget headset for over an hour and getting quite hot and sweaty around the ears - which is not attractive. The wireless aspect is compatible with the PC and PS4 using the dongle provided. There is also a 3.5mm connection available so that it can be used in a wired configuration for all formats. If you happen to be using a PC for your gaming then you can take advantage of the Razer Synapse software to configure the 5.1 and 7.1 spatial audio. It is nice to have the option of wireless or wired connection though.Aside from the wireless connectivity and the good build-quality and materials, the obvious feature that you’re paying extra for here though is the haptic feedback - which helps to create some extra sense of punch and impact to higher intensity gaming sessions. I’ve not used a haptic headset before and thought I would find it gimmicky - and I would imagine after having used it that there are probably low-grade versions of haptic headset which wouldn’t do the function justice, but on this headset I actually felt it really added the experience of the games. Explosions and shots just have something a bit extra about them which make you take notice and add to your overall experience. One other small detail I quite like is the retractable microphone. I don’t do as much group chat gaming as I’d like, but it’s nice to be able to put the microphone completely out of the picture when you’re not using it.Overall, it’s an expensive bit of kit but it is seemingly well-constructed and uses appropriate materials in the right places. The wireless/wired option is handy and if you’re a PC gamer you’d get added spatial audio qualities. The larger drivers give you a nice full sound for gaming and with appropriate games the haptic feedback adds an extra dimension to your experience. I am not currently a PC gamer so can’t speak for it’s PC-based functionality, but on PS4 it works a treat.

This is a review of Razer Nari Ultimate - THX Spatial Audio - Cooling Gel-Infused Cushions - 2.4 GHz Wireless Audio - Mic with Game/Chat Balance. There are two other models on this listing which is worth bearing in mind when comparing reviews. I have used these with my PC exclusively. They are supplied in a quality branded box to help justify their premium price. The box includes the headphones, USB to micro USB charging lead and a 3.5mm aux lead for a direct wired connection. Both leads were a generous length and look to be good quality. Also included are well-written instructions and the offer of a 2-year warranty and free online technical support that I have not needed to try out.The headphones are quite large and bulky but actually very comfortable to wear. The cushions are soft and fully cup the ear and the headband is self-adjusting and fits well although they are probably better suited to a larger head. The microphone is fully retractable and adjustable and seemed fine on my headphones although it is not something I normally use. These are not Bluetooth and use a wireless connection via a small USB dongle. This is stored securely in the headphones which is a nice touch. They can also be used via a wired connection but some of the flexibility and functionality is lost.Using Windows when you first connect you are prompted to download the Razor Synapse 3 app. This provides a wide range of customisation options for the headphones and other compatible devices and allows you to adjust volume, sound, and turn on and off the haptic vibration function which is handy if listening to music. You can also change the lighting and adjust the Spatial Audio function. There is a rotary volume control which I like as well as a rotary game chat balance control, both of which allow easy adjustment when in the middle of a game. The headphones charged up fairly quickly and seem to have an excellent battery life. The claim is 24 hours and they have not run out yet during testing. The sound quality is very good with clear mid and higher frequencies and a well-defined bass which can be boosted via the app. I was initially skeptical of the haptic function that vibrates the headphones with the sound when appropriate but this does work well and adds to immersion during a game giving gunfire more realism in particular. The intensity can be adjusted via the app or it can also be switched off.Overall these are expensive headphones but have a lot of features and sound very good. The build quality is sturdy and the haptic effect works well. If you are a serious gamer these headphones are well worth considering.

Really excellent headphones. Very comfortable, can easy wear these for hours and hours. The sound is superb, and quite precise in the high and low ends. Not world class quality, but far far better than regular headphones and about what you expect for the price. The haptic drivers are also an excellent addition, perfect for gaming. Deep bass undertones such as engines idling will really rumble in your ear, and loud bangs can be physically felt. It's weird at first, but you get used to it. Music is hit and miss, the quality in general is excellent but I turn down the haptic by 10% for music listening. YouTube and movies can feel muddy, generally excellent but sometimes deep voices can trigger the haptic which can be unexpected.Again, you get used to this, and headphones without this feature feel "empty".The surround sound software included with these is excellent, and with games with precise sound design such as Call of Duty it allows amazingly precise awareness of what's around you, be it footsteps or gunshots. I've also been playing a lot of DiRT Rally 2.0, and in cockpit mode it sounds incredible, with the sound of the exhaust behind you. Games (and music, videos and movies) with excellent sound design really stand out with these headphones, and those with poor sound design will leave you wanting more. However I did find some issues with the software needed for these, Razer Synapse. Sometimes it will fail to detect or change a program running to allow for surround sound, sometimes it won't recognise the device is connected, sometimes when you plug it in to charge it either won't charge at all, or you will hear a lot of the Windows USB connect/disconnect noises. I've been in touch with Razer's support channels and after completely deleting and reinstalling Synapse, it has been faultless so far.The microphone is a bit meh. Quality leaves much to be desired. The mic is wound in a flexible stalk within the headphone so you can pull it in and out, which is a really good idea. However, sometimes the mic pickup will be twisted the wrong way when you pull it out, and occasionally you can hear the wound assembly rattling slightly if there is significant haptic feedback going on. Not a big deal for me however. It's also worth pointing out I had to get a replacement as when I first used my original headset only one of the haptic drivers worked, but was replaced quickly and easily without fuss. All in all these are excellent headphones and well worth their price, but you may need to be patient with the software required to run them.

I got these chiefly to watch late at night (I use my XBox One X as a BluRay player). Sometimes just turning down my surround system isn't desirable.I had previously used AKG K702 open back headphones wired to my AV receiver but the wire was annoying.I was dubious to pay a lot but they were on for £130 on Prime Day and so I went for it.Only used once so far but these are great. Paired easily with XBox. I use Dolby Atmos for Headphones on the Xbox and I got a better sense of a bigger soundstage going beyond the headphones than with the AKGs which I was surprised about. But the bass and HyperSense really push it into a truly cinematic sound - the bass is deep when needed and with the rumble fromthe HyperSense it really gives a feeling that you've got a full sound system going with a subwoofer. It's impressive. I think the deep cups probably help with the sound stage and it is very good - I got a real sense of more distant sounds to a larger extent than on the AKGs.I have a good surround setup with Atmos, an Arcam receiver, and Tannoy speakers and I didn't feel as if I was missing out massively using the headphones. The sound is very good. This was on a 32 inch monitor quite close and I haven't tried with projector yet where possibly the reduced soundstage may become more apparent and unable to match the scale of the image but we'll see. I thought the HyperSense was likely an unneeded gimmick but it really adds to the experience.I don't really need to use with a PC - I tend to PC game on the monitor which has good speakers and am close to it - so this wasn't a priority but it is a pity an extra wireless dongle needs to be bought if I want to sue on PC and that I had to have the green highlights on the XBox version. However, more universal headphones like the Arctis 7X were more than the price of this headset plus dongle and reading reviews and looking at measured figures didn't quite seem to have the sound performance of these.Comfort wise nothing to complain about. Absolutely fine for a few hours wear. Not the lightest but sit comfortably and the headband is nice and padded - bit more comfortable than the AKGs.So far I'm very pleased. I wondered if I'd be trading sound quality for wireless convenience but these are great and better for films than the AKG K702s which are not cheap headphones. I expect the gaming performance to be similarly good but not tried it out as yet.

Great Looking headset with exception build quality, Study strong metal finish. Retractable but incredibly poor-quality mic. Very comfortable when wearing for as long as 8 hours straight in a day and the battery life is also quite exceptional easily lasting 15 hours with varying use. Sound quality is also a massive positive, the 7.1 surround sound is great to hear. Bass lovers will love this headset, The Battlefield game series show this off with ease, allowing explosions and gun shots to literally shake the headset. The headset muffs are quite thick but are light enough to not be an issue or strain your neck.Overall amazing wireless headset It’s just a shame that the mic is very poor.More Depth:The box is a made from a generic cardboard which is typical with some of Razers products, this doesn’t impact me personally with the headset but with this price tag you would expect something more. Inside, the headset is neatly displayed with the manuals hidden at the bottom, the headset sits on top of a plastic cut out along with the audio jack cable. Removing the headset its quickly apparent that Razer paid close attention to the feel of the headset, it’s made completely from light weight metal. The padding that sits on your ears is an incredibly soft, thick and squishy and will easily cover the entire ear. The headset does swivel 90 degrees but backwards, they rotate inwards towards your chest, this feels more like an error as it means you cannot listen to music outwards. The Bluetooth dongle hides well in the headset and is very thin so doesn’t draws attention. Conclusion:Overall the headset is incredibly comfortable, light and lasts for a long time without charging. It looks pleasing but a little thick. The only negative is the Mic quality, it’s very poor but you will get away with casual gaming with friends even if they complain a little.

Razer Nari Ultimate - THX Spatial Audio - Cooling Gel-Infused Cushions - 2.4 GHz Wireless Audio - Mic with Game/Chat Balance - Gaming Headset Works for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and Mobile DevicesIn the box.The headphones, USB charge cable, cable for cabled connection and instructions. The USB transmitter is located in the right ear cup at the bottom. You need to plug this into your console or computer to use them wirelessly. We used it with a PC and PS4 – check out other reviews about using them wirelessly with the XBOX 1 as people are reporting issues here.Build quality. These are very well made and adjustable to fit anyone. They fit over the ears very well.Comfort.They are extremely comfortable and will not cause fatigue even after many hours of gaming. The ear pads are nice and soft and cool due to the gel filling.Connection.These are easy to connect either wirelessly or via a cable. If using them wirelessly you first need to charge them up. Plug the USB dongle into the console or computer to use these wirelessly and follow the connection instruction for the type of console or computer you are using. Set up is quick and easy.Sound quality. As expected, this is pretty good with lots of detail and space. The space around games creates a huge feeling to a game. You can hear every detail in super HiFi clarity. The only disappointment was the deep bass, they seem to run out of power here. The bass is well defined and loud but not that deep. This is my only criticism of the sound quality.Overall.Well crafted and superbly sounding gaming headphones. Detail is phenomenal and better cabled than wireless by a tiny amount. They are quite a high price for what you get but the comfort is excellent too.

I was after a new headset and seemed apparent I wanted wireless, I absolutely hate feeling tied down to my desk.I've been a big fan of Corsair for a good few years and bought their Virtuoso Headset originally (along with a dark core RGB) both items became defective within weeks of purchase (I'm assuming the delivery guy had knocked the package around). With that's going on in the world I couldn't get my hands on a new headset, and reluctantly "settled" for the similarly priced Nari. The bass on these are incredible, out of the box the EQ seemed pretty spot-on - compared to my previous Corsair headset that I spent a good half hour tweaking. For gaming, the THX surround sound is very good - as virtual surround goes,it's up there with the best. The wireless range is okay, I can move about most of the house while still maintaining signal. The mic, I was fully aware this wasn't going to be great. To me sounds like an Xbox 360 mic, felt nostalgic (I bought a cheapish condenser mic in anticipation). But if you don't have the funds for an external mic, it's clear enough with no distortion/cracking. It easily tooks away which was something I was looking at doing anyways.Build quality is good, feels comfortable on cooling gel does make a difference! After being a big fan of Corsair, this Razer product has me doubting my future purchases.4.8/5 - only loss due to the mic quality

The headphones work straight out of the box, and though it says to download Razer Synapse 3, this doesn't actually affect anything they do. The haptic quality can't be turned off, which is very distracting if you want them to double as music headphones (unless you want to listen to EDM in which case they'd be great). The sound is crisp. The haptic quality is basically like a rumble controller, which can be atmospheric but also jarring if you're playing with a controller that has different rumble patterns programmed. From what I can gather, it gains no rumble metadata from the game itself, so it's not truly integrated, but it works fairly well as it is.This is the second best pair Razer offers, with better haptic quality than than the standard Nari, but less battery life than the Nari Ultimate Essential.I tried this with three games; The Witness, an atmospheric puzzle/walking sim, where the haptics were relatively minor, but added to the immersion, Hellbade: Senua's Sacrifice, an action/horror, where the hapics where fantastic, and Overwatch, a competitive FPS, where it wasn't nearly as distracting as I thought it'd be, so who knows, if you have game sense it might actually help you out. There's a setting on the headphones which allows you to adjust the volume/teamspeak independently. Overall a good piece of kit provided this is what you are looking for

The Razer Nari is a good gaming headset. I use it with my PS4 Pro and the setup was very easy and it paired very quickly. It comes in a lovely green and black box. Included is the headset, a USB wireless receiver ( which is found in the right ear cup. At first I thought it was missing. Duh! ) , charging cable and a 3.5mm combo cable for using with Nintendo Switch or Mobile Devices. They are quite comfortable when on and have a self adjusting headband. However I find them quite heavy and need to take them off after a while. They have hidden indented channels in the cooling gel infused cushions to eliminate pressure if you are a glasses wearer which is a nice touch. There is a game/chat balance wheel so that you can select your preference. I don’t use the headset for chat myself so cant comment on the sound quantity of the mic. I have it turned off and only use them for playing at night when family are asleep. The mic glows red when switched off and the Razer logos on the ear cups glow green when in use.The sound quality is good but I wouldn’t say I’m blown away. They may get better the more I use them. All in all a good quality headset but for me they are slightly heavy and because they are over ear your ears do tend to get quite hot.But that applies to most gaming headsets I have used.

I really like these headphones but unfortunately I will be returning them.First off I was using them with my PS4.The sound quality was brilliant I cant say it's 7.1 surround sound because I think on the PS4 is only stereo. But I could be wrong. I thought the bass was excellent and it did give you a great sense of being up close and personal in the game . At the time I'm playing Tomb Raider. I had to turn down the ingame music as it was creating too much vibration in the headset. The vibration was a good feature and something that you had to get used to but like I said if in Game music was too loud the vibration would react from that rather than what was going on in the game. They don't feel overly heavy once on your head and feel very comfortable.I did find that my ears sweaters more than usual when wearing them and I really did not use them for very long. I do wonder what they would be like to wear for a couple of hours!! My main reason for returning them is that they're not the most tight fitted of headphones and I dont have a small head ether! so every time you looked up or down they fell off. Also I don't like the idea of sitting in my living room with headphones on. it was a bit of a learning curve for me but Next time I think I'll stick to a 5.1 surround sound system.

I got this headset elsewhere, but though I review it. I have the Xbox version. I have used this for 15 months before the headset broke at the two flat bits where the speakers attach to the plastic block that turns for adjusting to your face. This annoyed me lots,- as other than that I was happy with the sound, it was a bit heavy on bass and could have done with a bit more treble. The mic is lousy and feels as though you have to speak loudly to get anything heard, the worst mic I've ever used. I used this headset for gaming alone without using the mic (really not fit for purpose) and for online multiplayer games without using chat.Overall I would still have kept using this headset for gaming alone as it's comfortable for a four hour gaming session (after that my ears got a bit hot).I would recommend this headset for lone gaming but don't expect to use the mic at all really. IF you pick this for gaming use be EXTREMELY gentle with the headset as mine broke at the ear cups (the two flat plastic bits). if this had been made stronger and thicker at the supports this may had lasted longer than 15 months of gentle use. Recommended with careful use.

All I can say is WOW! What a difference in sound, I have been using Sony gold headset with vss. Bought these Razer Nari as felt the Sony headset was missing something. As it turns out it was missing loads! I tested them with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint and straight away I felt I was actually in the game. Somewhere to my left there is a frog croaking, a bird calling out in a tree in the cluster of trees to my upper right and flies around me in the boggy grass. A distant whoomp of a helicopter coming from my right I lay down in the grass so they do not spot me and just by listening to the sounds coming from this great headset can tell where the chopper is in the sky.The mic after a little tweaking in the software sounds fantastic. It is very comfy even after 4 hours of gameplay. It just leaves me to say if you are looking for a great headset that delivers excellent sound with comfort for those long gaming setions then I highly recommend these Razer Nari headset unless you can afford the Razer Nari Ultimate, In a way I wish I could have afforded them but I am very happy with the ones I have. Hope this helps in you making a choice.

To be honest I thought the Haptic feature was going to be gimmicky, however I watched a few reviews from trusted Youtubers and they changed my mind enough to press the button. The haptic feature is so good in game that playing without it switched on just doesnt feel right anymore!Ten out of ten to Razer for developing this. The haptic feature works independent of any programming, unlike the rumble effect on game controllers which need to be told when to buzz or rattle etc so the effect doesnt need to be limited to your game play, feel explosions in action movies and it almost feels like your at a gig listening to music with them on.I love it.The sound quality is great too as is the mic.The mic stem is retractable and can be muted directly on the left ear pad where you'll also find the chat/game mixer. On the other side you can adjust the volume and switch the headset on or off.I've played all night on a charge however if you are running low on juice you can charge while you play. The Narri Ultimate arent the cheapest headset out there but man, the Haptic tech makes them worth every penny imo!I really couldnt recommend them more.

pros-battery life lasts up to about a day and a half-great sound quality- noise cancellation is decent-chroma works pretty well (first time using chroma anything)-the headset has infused gel making the headset really comfortable to wear and I mean really comfortable.-easy on headset controlsCons-the microphone is hot garbage, it’s on the same level of quality of an Xbox 360 mic.-the headset is a bit bulky, this isn’t a huge problem just due to the ergonomics of the headset and how comfortable it is.- (READ THIS) the micro usb sent with the headset is not good at all, very flimsy! This is one of the main problems with the headset I found, it broke within 4 days of using it, had to go and buy another micro usb.I wouldn’t recommend keeping the lead it comes with.Overall, it isn’t the best but it definitely has its pros. I am an ex CSGO player, used to play at LEM and I know my team would kill me if I tried to talk to them using this microphone. The headphones work amazingly well, in terms of sound, noise cancellations, bass, hz etc. But all it’s additional features are pretty average.
