Razer Nari Wireless Gaming HeadsetI have got through so many headsets in recent years - four by Sony, a couple by Sennheiser, a few by Creative and a number of sets by brands I don’t even recall the name of. Some have been aimed at gaming use whilst others have been more for audio. They have all had good and bad points. Most recently a couple have broken at the weakest point - almost by design - at the articulating joint holding the ear pieces onto the head strap. These Razer Nari headphones are substantial and well balanced compared to many that I have used. They are of really good build quality and are well made and presented in Razer livery bright green on black. They are a full over the eardesign and are really comfortable even for big ears like mine. The head strap is of the adjustable double sprung design so they fit nicely onto your head and the weight is well distributed and they don’t slip. All headphones become tiresome over many hours of use - it’s your heads way of saying take a break - but these are better than many I’ve used. The Razer Nari Wireless will also work wired with the 3.5mm jack cable supplied. This is a good quality nylon braided cable with a right angled 4 pole 3.5 mm plug at one end to a straight 4 pole 3.5 mm plug at the other. This will allow connection to most PC and many portable device audio outputs directly. The cable is 1.4m long. There is also a nylon braided charging cable which is USB for connecting from PC or charger to a microUSB connection at the headset. Both USB and microUSB connections have green Razer branded insets. The manual recommends an initial four hour charge out of the box.The head set ear cups are full over the ear type and have a removable gel filled padded cup for comfort and pressure relief. The driver cups are substantial and there are a number of controls on the Left ear cup as well as it housing the microphone. The microphone is housed within the case and extends or retracts as needed. It tucks completely out of the way and there is also a microphone mute button. As well as the microphone the left ear cup houses the on|off switch and an in game volume balance control between chat and game audio. Also on the left cup there is the 3.5mm socket for direct cable connection along with the micro USB charging port. The right ear piece houses the main volume control and stores the RF USB dongle used for wireless connection between the head set and the PC. Wireless mode uses a 2.4GHZ radio frequency and the USB dongle needs to be removed from the Right ear housing where it is stowed and put into a USB port on your PC.On Mac running OSX 10.11.6 the dongle was immediately recognised and gave options for selection in settings. The volume is controlled from the headset. For music audio the quality was very good with good range and discrete but not overpowering bass. I’d say well balanced. Sound preferences are notoriously subjective, but I really like this headset.Wireless range held up to about twenty feet and two rooms away before breaking up.At listenable volumes there is very little spill from this headset so it won’t annoy other people in the room. The head set does have sound isolating qualities and is very immersive. The new Suspiria soundtrack is scary listening on these. The Razer Nari Headset supports THX Spatial Audio through Razer Synapse 3 software on Windows PCs.This is next generation stuff for many of us that will make games and media generally more immersive as it creates a 360 degree soundstage through the headset. Surround sound for your head. I’ve not used it yet and can’t vouch for it.The Nari ear pieces have LEDs embedded in the Razer logo which is controllable through the Razer software in Windows - by default it glows a solid green. This is a really good head set which will be appreciated by Gamers and non gamers alike and will complement anyone with a current Razer set up or laptop.

Really excellent headphones. Very comfortable, can easy wear these for hours and hours. The sound is superb, and quite precise in the high and low ends. Not world class quality, but far far better than regular headphones and about what you expect for the price. The haptic drivers are also an excellent addition, perfect for gaming. Deep bass undertones such as engines idling will really rumble in your ear, and loud bangs can be physically felt. It's weird at first, but you get used to it. Music is hit and miss, the quality in general is excellent but I turn down the haptic by 10% for music listening. YouTube and movies can feel muddy, generally excellent but sometimes deep voices can trigger the haptic which can be unexpected.Again, you get used to this, and headphones without this feature feel "empty".The surround sound software included with these is excellent, and with games with precise sound design such as Call of Duty it allows amazingly precise awareness of what's around you, be it footsteps or gunshots. I've also been playing a lot of DiRT Rally 2.0, and in cockpit mode it sounds incredible, with the sound of the exhaust behind you. Games (and music, videos and movies) with excellent sound design really stand out with these headphones, and those with poor sound design will leave you wanting more. However I did find some issues with the software needed for these, Razer Synapse. Sometimes it will fail to detect or change a program running to allow for surround sound, sometimes it won't recognise the device is connected, sometimes when you plug it in to charge it either won't charge at all, or you will hear a lot of the Windows USB connect/disconnect noises. I've been in touch with Razer's support channels and after completely deleting and reinstalling Synapse, it has been faultless so far.The microphone is a bit meh. Quality leaves much to be desired. The mic is wound in a flexible stalk within the headphone so you can pull it in and out, which is a really good idea. However, sometimes the mic pickup will be twisted the wrong way when you pull it out, and occasionally you can hear the wound assembly rattling slightly if there is significant haptic feedback going on. Not a big deal for me however. It's also worth pointing out I had to get a replacement as when I first used my original headset only one of the haptic drivers worked, but was replaced quickly and easily without fuss. All in all these are excellent headphones and well worth their price, but you may need to be patient with the software required to run them.

So I was really fortunate to get these for a fraction of the price during the Black Friday week. It was between these and waiting for the PS5 pulse headphones when they were available. The quality is excellent. They’re robust, they’re cold to the touch and parts feel well made. The fit is average. I’ve been using a set of Beats Solo 3’s and an adapter and I’m used to them hugging my head. These certainly don’t flop off but they aren’t as snug as I would have like. I do have a relatively small noggin though so if you’re an average sized adult male you’ll probably be okay. Equally, if you have plenny hair, you’ll be alright. The sound quality is either good or brilliant, and this firmly depends on the game and the activity. For example, if you’re solo gaming and you’re hitting up night city in Cyberpunk 2077 or roaming the streets of London in Watchdogs Legion, the sound effects and atmospheric noises are as good as anything I’ve heard before. The addition of the haptics make combat exciting and immersive*.However, if you’re doing the above but you’re ok chat, I find that you have to compromise and you lose a lot of the depth from the audio. It’s not a dealbreaker though as I find your focus in these situations are your fire team or your squad. The noise cancellation is okay, but I think this is dependant on the fitting. In my case it leaks audio in so it’s not perfect. Again, not a dealbreaker. The microphone is good quality and once you’ve played around with the balancing and decided your focus (party or game) you’ll have no issues hearing or being heard. The tactile buttons on the sides of them are a great addition and once you’ve remembered where they are on the headset, they come in handy. The retractable microphone is useful. I like how it lights up red when you mute the device.Overall I’m very happy with them. The battery life is fine and I haven’t had any issues with it running out. I charge before and after every sessions so I’ve yet to have an issue. People have mentioned they’re heavy and they are. But I’m yet to come across this as an issue.*be warned. If you have someone who breaths down the mic like a panting pooch after a gallivant in a field, they WILL activate the haptics so you will physically feel their breathing and it’s absolutely gross.

After using this headset for a solid 2 years, I can honestly say, well done Razer. This is as it stands, the only headset from Razer I've been happy with. And if not for a few flaws, which may put off some people here, I'd say it's the best headset I've ever used. I think when it comes to price, the headset definitely falls in a sweet-spot of value for money, as well as a glimpse of what good headsets feel like. So, the pros:-Very solid build quality (unlike the prior model, Man O War)-Haptic feedback is a welcome addition (though I use it for music more than gaming)-Synapse 3 makes good use of syncing the Nari's lighting with other Razer peripherals (shown in picture)-Decent battery life (generally, without lighting and haptic feedback on, I get 8+ hours)-Sound quality is overall decent (though a little muted in the mid frequencies)-Decent wireless range (though don't expect to walk around far in a house, the bathroom maybe but that's it)-It has a slider on the headset that can increase/decrease game audio vs something like discord (so if you're talking to someone, you can turn the game down, or the other way round)And the cons:-Microphone sounds like you're transmitting over a radio (muffled/nowhere near the quality of something like the Man O War)-Surround sound has a tendency to sound rather muffled (generally not as good as something like the Man O War's surround sound)-The charging cable is relatively short (for me it's not long enough to extend over to my pc tower residing on the right)Overall, for me, the microphone is absolutely my biggest issue with the headset. Others have claimed that it sounds better with the 3.5mm audio cord plugged into your headset and pc, but I couldn't get it to work and honestly it defeats the point of this headset having a solid 'wireless microphone'. If surround sound doesn't bother you as well, and maybe the low frequency mids of audio, then that aside - it's a solid headset, especially for the pricet.

Really love this headset ! First off, in standard mode (with all the haptic tech off and stuff ) it sounds good, not a million times better than most headsets you’ve probably worn but still really good and better than most average ones.Microphone although again not the best in the world is clear and definitely more than fine for just gaming with friends or having Skype calls etcThis cooling Gel they mention to me isn’t a great feature the first 3 minutes you put them on yes they feel cold but then just like any other headset within an hour they feel warm just like any other headset doesAesthetically they look great I mean it’s razer they always do nice looking and feeling products and this is no exception,it looks and feels high qualityThey are wireless and connect via a little receiver from the headset that plugs into your computer. Battery life is okay with the haptic and RGB off they will last you all day and probably half of the next day.. with haptic on and RGB off they will just last just under a full day.. with both Haptic and RGB on it will run you 7-8 hours.. so battery life is okay but not amazing. Now here’s the part to really be able to say wether these are for you and it’s the Haptic feedback technology in them. What happens is they rumble and vibrate when for example a shot is fired in a shooting game.. they also have very good directional rumbling and sound and it’s actually REALLY immersive and I love it ! The feature alone made these worth the step up in price from your average headset. Now that feature isn’t for everyone and if you think that it’s not something you’re interested in then you probably can look elsewhere and get something else for the money.Me personally I love them! They sound good, good mic, look and feel amazing, decent battery life, wireless, quite comfortable and with the haptic feedback I don’t think they are badly priced at all and I can highly recommend them !

My son who is an avid gamer and he absolutely loves these. He uses via blue tooth to listen to music off his iPhone etc and uses to watch TV into the wee small hours. As I have mentioned he’s an avid gamer and on his PS4 he has happily paid for and used other brands of headphones with mic both wired and blue toothed while gaming. None have matched the quality, design or sound he has experienced with these. These headphones have blown him away. Listening to his music he has appreciated the brilliant sound and likewise with his games .....TV equally the sound is amazing.....his TV is 4K Samsung and his PS4 is an older version which I don’t know if this makes a difference to sound quality or not.Hismates can understand him much better the quality of sound through the mic has been a breath of fresh air apparently. Before he used to put the volume up much to high causing reverb and noise so everyone could not hear him clearly, without the volume up high his previous headphones were a waste of time.....with these he doesn’t need to. The quality of sound and clarity has been commented on by his gaming pals, which as they are male has to be vast otherwise they wouldn’t have noticed. He’s a happy bunny to say the least. Does he recommend.....yes. Price point for quality and sound I would say is more than reasonable. The headphones themselves are very cleverly designed, a place to keep the Bluetooth dongle, the mic slips in and out For easy use and he says without a doubt these are by far the most comfortable headphones he’s ever used to game in or to listen to music....cool and comfortable, they even have a groove for glasses wearers now who else designs headphones that do that at this price? If your not convinced by this review I’m sad...these would make the most brilliant present for anyone out there that has a partner, hubby or just a loved one who is a gamer.Brilliant....don’t dither.....invest

I've been using these on and off for a few weeks now and I have to say that I'm impressed. One concern that I always have when buying new headphones or headsets is the fit and comfort. Some that I have tried in the past make it feel as if your head is in a vice after more than half an hour of use or they can make your ears feel very warm. Not so with this Razer headset, I found that they were a snug fit without being too tight and the material that the earcups were made from seem to do a good job of reducing heat build up.I use them wirelessly via the included USB receiver, although they can be used wired if needed but after going wireless with most of my tech over the last few years I find cables get in the way.I've not had any issues with the wireless performance and they've remained solid throughout my time using them. The microphone can be hidden away inside on of the earcups when not in use, which is handy as others that I have used have detachable mics which can be a tad annpying and can get lost.Sound quality is pretty impressive, I'm no expert and there are surely better headsets out there for the money but these do for me. They have THX Spatial Audio which attempts to simulate haptic feedback and provide lifelike sound when playing. For the most part this works well and the sound does give you a sense of position in the game. They also do a pretty good job of isolating any outside noise, but then again if you have them at a reasonable volume you can't hear anything else anyway.Overall, an impressive headset that is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and with pretty good sound quality. These are a tad on the pricey side though at £175 currently, I'm not sure what other headsets there are out there for the same price or what they offer, so shop around before making a final decision.

Coming from an Astro A50, I've gotta say, the Nari ultimate, which is almost half the price of the A50, is fantastic!Audio quality is about on par, crisp highs, clear mids and deep lows. However, if you crank the bass up, it can get a little... Wobbly. Whereas the A50 keep their quality even at adjusted bass level. However, where these shine is in the haptic feedback. It honestly, genuinely, changes the game. Figuratively and literally. For music, you get a great bit of feedback through your lows, giving you that 'at the concert' vibe. It feels like the bass is vibrating through head, not in an annoying way, more in the added senses way. It's great. For gaming, wow, I've only had a run at Doom eternal and warzone, and honest to God, they felt like completely different games. Ripping demons in half, and chainsawing through their arms, feels like you're actually getting feedback for doing it. How is this not a standard feature on headsets?Spacial audio is good, as good as atmos or dtsx, but, how good can faked surround sound be via a stereo headset? This isn't a problem with the headset, it's more a caveat of the spacial audios out there. I mean, I have a high end atmos sound system, and honestly, the difference between atmos and 7.1 is very very minimal. The headset however does do a good job telling you where 'roughly' sounds are coming from. Someone sneaking up behind you, and you will know they're behind you. But, don't expect these, or any headset to truly reproduce rear sounds. If you're looking for a headset for you gaming pc, then I'd honestly recommend these over the ASTROs and even the Arctis series. They're half the price, sound so close to the same, but you get haptic feedback? It's a no brainer. That plus the premium materials, and you'd be stupid not to.

To be honest I thought the Haptic feature was going to be gimmicky, however I watched a few reviews from trusted Youtubers and they changed my mind enough to press the button. The haptic feature is so good in game that playing without it switched on just doesnt feel right anymore!Ten out of ten to Razer for developing this. The haptic feature works independent of any programming, unlike the rumble effect on game controllers which need to be told when to buzz or rattle etc so the effect doesnt need to be limited to your game play, feel explosions in action movies and it almost feels like your at a gig listening to music with them on.I love it.The sound quality is great too as is the mic.The mic stem is retractable and can be muted directly on the left ear pad where you'll also find the chat/game mixer. On the other side you can adjust the volume and switch the headset on or off.I've played all night on a charge however if you are running low on juice you can charge while you play. The Narri Ultimate arent the cheapest headset out there but man, the Haptic tech makes them worth every penny imo!I really couldnt recommend them more.UPDATE!Its been over a year since I picked these up and I feel I should mention that my set recently died on me, it was a fault with the USB dongle. Amazon replaced for me, no issue at all but thought you should be aware they had a potential issue before you buy. Ill add the USB dongle was rarely disconnected from my desktop so it wasn't a wear n tear type situation. The replacement set has performed well and I cant complain at all.Still really enjoying the haptic feature and like I said in my original review listening without this feature on certainly leaves one feeling like something is definitely missing!

The mic seems to be a known issue with this headset. I thought it was just my settings but upon researching further it seems that a tinny sounding mic is a common issue across this model of headset. Luckily for me, the mic on this was to be the 'backup' for when I didn't want to use my Yeti mic, so that doesn't cause me huge issues.... but if this is to be your primary mic then you may wish to consider your purchase a little more carefully. The noise cancellation is good, the haptic feedback is very novel, and the sound quality is excellent. I have quite a small head and these are a touch on the large side for me, it's not as huge and unwearable as the Corsair Void headset was. They stay on even when I move about it bend over, so can't complain.Another minor downside is if I'm staying a hoodie with the hood down, the volume controls on the ear cups sometimes catch on the hood fabric gathered around my neck and shoulders, turning the volume up or down unexpectedly! Also, there is something about the software for this mic that doesn't interact well with Streamlabs. I have to force close it each time I stream, or the streaming software cannot pick up desktop sound. I'm still investigating the issue to try and resolve it.Is it the best headset ever? Ehhhhh..... no. My cheap but well reviewed wired headset had a brilliant quality mic, no software clash issues, and sounded pretty good. But I wanted wireless so I could move away from the computer while still listening to it. So I guess you gain in one respect and lose from others. If you don't NEED wireless... stick with a good wired headset. Otherwise, this is a great headset so long as you have a separate mic to use!

I was uncertain about the haptic feedback that's one of the main features of the Nari.I know I don't like led effects on headsets., unless you play in public. Fortunately, you can turn them off and save a little battery life.On the other hand, the THX surround sound is excellent. You can adjust the virtual speakers as you want. It certainly sounds better than other options. It works well with games, but also works with music.So. Haptic feedback. A headset that vibrates. Must be annoying, right? Actually, no. And that was surprising. It works by analysing the bass sounds. No bass, no vibration. And it works with music too. You can adjust the level of vibration via a wheel on the right cup. With games,it's surprisingly good. Explosions gain a nice low rumble, while gun shots gain a snap.Music is a more subtle thing. The vibration makes it seem like the headset has a wider frequency response than it actually has. The bass in heavy rock is superb, but it works really well with some classical music. Mussorgsky and Holst being two I was impressed with the extra feeling.Battery life isn't bad. Approx 8 hours with all features enabled, up to 24 with the vibration and leds turned off. Not sure why you'd do that though. Makes an audible beep when the battery is getting low.I like the dongle storage. It locks in place with a click in the left cup, next to the on/off button. These are really comfortable for long playing sessions.,even with glasses. If you have the money, these are well worth the money. They've become my favourite headset.

This product is great for gaming/ listening to music. The rumble feature is top quality. It adds that extra punch to all the bassy sounds you expect to hear. It’s a bit weird to get used to at first, but once you’re used to it, you can never go back again. It’s brilliant. My only gripes with this headset is the software that is required to change the audio/microphone/lighting/rumble settings and the microphone in general. The microphone on the headset is useable but is not of great quality. There are definitely better options out there if you are going to be using this headset for predominately chatting to people. But if you plan to use a free standing microphone then my next point will be irrelevant, and you would have a much better experience anyway. The software. On my PC, having this software renders the microphone totally unusable. I have to actually shout down the headset microphone for people to hear me. The mic sensitivity is dropped to about 1% or something and there is no way to fix it that i know other than to uninstall all Razer Synapse and Cortex programs and delete all files related to Razer Software. Trust me. I have had this headset for like 3/4 of a year and i’ve tried everything to get it to work with the software installed and nothing happens. It’s really unfortunate as this is a great headset aside from this.

I really like these headphones but unfortunately I will be returning them.First off I was using them with my PS4.The sound quality was brilliant I cant say it's 7.1 surround sound because I think on the PS4 is only stereo. But I could be wrong. I thought the bass was excellent and it did give you a great sense of being up close and personal in the game . At the time I'm playing Tomb Raider. I had to turn down the ingame music as it was creating too much vibration in the headset. The vibration was a good feature and something that you had to get used to but like I said if in Game music was too loud the vibration would react from that rather than what was going on in the game. They don't feel overly heavy once on your head and feel very comfortable.I did find that my ears sweaters more than usual when wearing them and I really did not use them for very long. I do wonder what they would be like to wear for a couple of hours!! My main reason for returning them is that they're not the most tight fitted of headphones and I dont have a small head ether! so every time you looked up or down they fell off. Also I don't like the idea of sitting in my living room with headphones on. it was a bit of a learning curve for me but Next time I think I'll stick to a 5.1 surround sound system.

Update:After issues with constant disconnects that appeared to be the result of driver issues the USB recivier would no longer be recognized by my computer altogether. After talking to Razers excellent customer support I was able to RMA my faulty headset and get a new one that works great. The headset sounds amazing and the haptic feedback feature is really nice. The headset is also well built and sturdy with a comfortable fit.I'll leave the original review below:"The headset itself is pretty great with pretty good sound and the haptic feedback is nice however this is only when the damn thing works. The headset itself seems to rely on THX synapse for sound which has some pretty great results however it will spontanteously crash and just stop working, resulting in horifically balanced audio that is nothing but bass, or no audio at all. Just search "THX synapse" on google and it doenst take a genius to see that this is a long standing issue with Razer Headsets. The only fix once the software crashes is to completely uninstall and reinstall the driver software for the headset.Overall a decent headset with one serious flaw that just ruins it. If you can get it to run stable on your system then go for it, but honestly not worth the risk with that price tag."

I bought a Steel Series Arctis 5 headset, because I loved my Icemat Siberias. Boy was I disappointed, the audio bleed from what I was listening to, the poor bass, the high trebles, the fact that it wouldn't stay on my head and flopped forward, and that I couldn't get it loud enough to drown out everything else. The one thing you want to do when you use headphones is hear what you're listening to more than the outside world. The only redeeming factor is that the microphone on the Steel Series is good. That's why I coveted the Nari Ultimate headset, it's wireless, it has haptic feedback, which adds so much more to the audio experience than I expected, it has 50mm drivers which significantly alter the ability to play audio loud, and it still has a microphone/game mixer volume on the headset. It has everything I wanted the Arctis 5 to do and it sounds better doing it. The microphone is good, it's not as good as the Steel Series, but it's adequate.I wanted this to listen to music without strings attached, and to be able to play my games, the 'thx' is an added bonus that I probably won't use, but for PC gaming, this is more than adequate. It's amazing. No regrets, no tears, only living the dream.
