Razer Nari Wireless Gaming HeadsetI have got through so many headsets in recent years - four by Sony, a couple by Sennheiser, a few by Creative and a number of sets by brands I don’t even recall the name of. Some have been aimed at gaming use whilst others have been more for audio. They have all had good and bad points. Most recently a couple have broken at the weakest point - almost by design - at the articulating joint holding the ear pieces onto the head strap. These Razer Nari headphones are substantial and well balanced compared to many that I have used. They are of really good build quality and are well made and presented in Razer livery bright green on black. They are a full over the eardesign and are really comfortable even for big ears like mine. The head strap is of the adjustable double sprung design so they fit nicely onto your head and the weight is well distributed and they don’t slip. All headphones become tiresome over many hours of use - it’s your heads way of saying take a break - but these are better than many I’ve used. The Razer Nari Wireless will also work wired with the 3.5mm jack cable supplied. This is a good quality nylon braided cable with a right angled 4 pole 3.5 mm plug at one end to a straight 4 pole 3.5 mm plug at the other. This will allow connection to most PC and many portable device audio outputs directly. The cable is 1.4m long. There is also a nylon braided charging cable which is USB for connecting from PC or charger to a microUSB connection at the headset. Both USB and microUSB connections have green Razer branded insets. The manual recommends an initial four hour charge out of the box.The head set ear cups are full over the ear type and have a removable gel filled padded cup for comfort and pressure relief. The driver cups are substantial and there are a number of controls on the Left ear cup as well as it housing the microphone. The microphone is housed within the case and extends or retracts as needed. It tucks completely out of the way and there is also a microphone mute button. As well as the microphone the left ear cup houses the on|off switch and an in game volume balance control between chat and game audio. Also on the left cup there is the 3.5mm socket for direct cable connection along with the micro USB charging port. The right ear piece houses the main volume control and stores the RF USB dongle used for wireless connection between the head set and the PC. Wireless mode uses a 2.4GHZ radio frequency and the USB dongle needs to be removed from the Right ear housing where it is stowed and put into a USB port on your PC.On Mac running OSX 10.11.6 the dongle was immediately recognised and gave options for selection in settings. The volume is controlled from the headset. For music audio the quality was very good with good range and discrete but not overpowering bass. I’d say well balanced. Sound preferences are notoriously subjective, but I really like this headset.Wireless range held up to about twenty feet and two rooms away before breaking up.At listenable volumes there is very little spill from this headset so it won’t annoy other people in the room. The head set does have sound isolating qualities and is very immersive. The new Suspiria soundtrack is scary listening on these. The Razer Nari Headset supports THX Spatial Audio through Razer Synapse 3 software on Windows PCs.This is next generation stuff for many of us that will make games and media generally more immersive as it creates a 360 degree soundstage through the headset. Surround sound for your head. I’ve not used it yet and can’t vouch for it.The Nari ear pieces have LEDs embedded in the Razer logo which is controllable through the Razer software in Windows - by default it glows a solid green. This is a really good head set which will be appreciated by Gamers and non gamers alike and will complement anyone with a current Razer set up or laptop.

This is a review of Razer Nari Ultimate - THX Spatial Audio - Cooling Gel-Infused Cushions - 2.4 GHz Wireless Audio - Mic with Game/Chat Balance. There are two other models on this listing which is worth bearing in mind when comparing reviews. I have used these with my PC exclusively. They are supplied in a quality branded box to help justify their premium price. The box includes the headphones, USB to micro USB charging lead and a 3.5mm aux lead for a direct wired connection. Both leads were a generous length and look to be good quality. Also included are well-written instructions and the offer of a 2-year warranty and free online technical support that I have not needed to try out.The headphones are quite large and bulky but actually very comfortable to wear. The cushions are soft and fully cup the ear and the headband is self-adjusting and fits well although they are probably better suited to a larger head. The microphone is fully retractable and adjustable and seemed fine on my headphones although it is not something I normally use. These are not Bluetooth and use a wireless connection via a small USB dongle. This is stored securely in the headphones which is a nice touch. They can also be used via a wired connection but some of the flexibility and functionality is lost.Using Windows when you first connect you are prompted to download the Razor Synapse 3 app. This provides a wide range of customisation options for the headphones and other compatible devices and allows you to adjust volume, sound, and turn on and off the haptic vibration function which is handy if listening to music. You can also change the lighting and adjust the Spatial Audio function. There is a rotary volume control which I like as well as a rotary game chat balance control, both of which allow easy adjustment when in the middle of a game. The headphones charged up fairly quickly and seem to have an excellent battery life. The claim is 24 hours and they have not run out yet during testing. The sound quality is very good with clear mid and higher frequencies and a well-defined bass which can be boosted via the app. I was initially skeptical of the haptic function that vibrates the headphones with the sound when appropriate but this does work well and adds to immersion during a game giving gunfire more realism in particular. The intensity can be adjusted via the app or it can also be switched off.Overall these are expensive headphones but have a lot of features and sound very good. The build quality is sturdy and the haptic effect works well. If you are a serious gamer these headphones are well worth considering.

I was after a new headset and seemed apparent I wanted wireless, I absolutely hate feeling tied down to my desk.I've been a big fan of Corsair for a good few years and bought their Virtuoso Headset originally (along with a dark core RGB) both items became defective within weeks of purchase (I'm assuming the delivery guy had knocked the package around). With that's going on in the world I couldn't get my hands on a new headset, and reluctantly "settled" for the similarly priced Nari. The bass on these are incredible, out of the box the EQ seemed pretty spot-on - compared to my previous Corsair headset that I spent a good half hour tweaking. For gaming, the THX surround sound is very good - as virtual surround goes,it's up there with the best. The wireless range is okay, I can move about most of the house while still maintaining signal. The mic, I was fully aware this wasn't going to be great. To me sounds like an Xbox 360 mic, felt nostalgic (I bought a cheapish condenser mic in anticipation). But if you don't have the funds for an external mic, it's clear enough with no distortion/cracking. It easily tooks away which was something I was looking at doing anyways.Build quality is good, feels comfortable on cooling gel does make a difference! After being a big fan of Corsair, this Razer product has me doubting my future purchases.4.8/5 - only loss due to the mic quality

The Razer Nari is a good gaming headset. I use it with my PS4 Pro and the setup was very easy and it paired very quickly. It comes in a lovely green and black box. Included is the headset, a USB wireless receiver ( which is found in the right ear cup. At first I thought it was missing. Duh! ) , charging cable and a 3.5mm combo cable for using with Nintendo Switch or Mobile Devices. They are quite comfortable when on and have a self adjusting headband. However I find them quite heavy and need to take them off after a while. They have hidden indented channels in the cooling gel infused cushions to eliminate pressure if you are a glasses wearer which is a nice touch. There is a game/chat balance wheel so that you can select your preference. I don’t use the headset for chat myself so cant comment on the sound quantity of the mic. I have it turned off and only use them for playing at night when family are asleep. The mic glows red when switched off and the Razer logos on the ear cups glow green when in use.The sound quality is good but I wouldn’t say I’m blown away. They may get better the more I use them. All in all a good quality headset but for me they are slightly heavy and because they are over ear your ears do tend to get quite hot.But that applies to most gaming headsets I have used.

I really like these headphones but unfortunately I will be returning them.First off I was using them with my PS4.The sound quality was brilliant I cant say it's 7.1 surround sound because I think on the PS4 is only stereo. But I could be wrong. I thought the bass was excellent and it did give you a great sense of being up close and personal in the game . At the time I'm playing Tomb Raider. I had to turn down the ingame music as it was creating too much vibration in the headset. The vibration was a good feature and something that you had to get used to but like I said if in Game music was too loud the vibration would react from that rather than what was going on in the game. They don't feel overly heavy once on your head and feel very comfortable.I did find that my ears sweaters more than usual when wearing them and I really did not use them for very long. I do wonder what they would be like to wear for a couple of hours!! My main reason for returning them is that they're not the most tight fitted of headphones and I dont have a small head ether! so every time you looked up or down they fell off. Also I don't like the idea of sitting in my living room with headphones on. it was a bit of a learning curve for me but Next time I think I'll stick to a 5.1 surround sound system.

All I can say is WOW! What a difference in sound, I have been using Sony gold headset with vss. Bought these Razer Nari as felt the Sony headset was missing something. As it turns out it was missing loads! I tested them with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint and straight away I felt I was actually in the game. Somewhere to my left there is a frog croaking, a bird calling out in a tree in the cluster of trees to my upper right and flies around me in the boggy grass. A distant whoomp of a helicopter coming from my right I lay down in the grass so they do not spot me and just by listening to the sounds coming from this great headset can tell where the chopper is in the sky.The mic after a little tweaking in the software sounds fantastic. It is very comfy even after 4 hours of gameplay. It just leaves me to say if you are looking for a great headset that delivers excellent sound with comfort for those long gaming setions then I highly recommend these Razer Nari headset unless you can afford the Razer Nari Ultimate, In a way I wish I could have afforded them but I am very happy with the ones I have. Hope this helps in you making a choice.

To be honest I thought the Haptic feature was going to be gimmicky, however I watched a few reviews from trusted Youtubers and they changed my mind enough to press the button. The haptic feature is so good in game that playing without it switched on just doesnt feel right anymore!Ten out of ten to Razer for developing this. The haptic feature works independent of any programming, unlike the rumble effect on game controllers which need to be told when to buzz or rattle etc so the effect doesnt need to be limited to your game play, feel explosions in action movies and it almost feels like your at a gig listening to music with them on.I love it.The sound quality is great too as is the mic.The mic stem is retractable and can be muted directly on the left ear pad where you'll also find the chat/game mixer. On the other side you can adjust the volume and switch the headset on or off.I've played all night on a charge however if you are running low on juice you can charge while you play. The Narri Ultimate arent the cheapest headset out there but man, the Haptic tech makes them worth every penny imo!I really couldnt recommend them more.

The Razer Nari Ultimate is a wireless headset that is an experience that most gamers should try. The headset uses 50mm drivers that give a strong sound and the hypersense technology is amazing for gaming, as it delivers good base that you can tailor to your liking using the Razer synapse software. Its perfect for fast pace shooter games or games and movies that have plenty of action. The only down side is the base isn’t so good for music because the base over powers it. Compared to the Kraken 7.1 V2 headphones the Nari Ultimate dominates for being wireless, having a self-adjusting headband and for comfort. These are a lot better for people that wear glasses as there is a cut out for them, these headphones are also comfortable for long periods of time wear. The main downside is that you can’t adjust the base on the headset physically, so if you use a console for these you cannot change the base on them, you can only change it in the settings of the Razer synapse software, but over all these headphones are perfect for any gamer if they want that more immersive feel to their gaming experience.

Pro's:The detachable 3.5mm jack is extremely usefulFar sturdier build than prior Razer models - good mix of plastic on bits that need to regularly bend, with a metal core for structural stabilitySound quality is about the same as the Man'o'War - very good quality, but there is better out there if you're willing to pay for it. Supposedly directional audio has improved, but I can't say I've noticed it.Synapse/Chroma set up was a bit of a pain, but it's fun to play with once up & running.Cons:Not true RGB & no on-board memory to record settings and preferences - Customisable RGB / custom sound settings only work when connected to a machine running Synapse/Chroma. As soon as connection is lost from Synapse/Chroma,the Nari reverts to a solid green lighting and default audio settings - it does not remember programmed settings.Wireless requires a special USB receiver (included). This is irreplaceable - Razer does not sell replacement units. If your USB receiver is lost or damaged, you cannot replace it. You will only be able to use Nari on wired connections.

My sons have been testing these headphones out for gaming purposes, while I have used them for listening to music. I don’t often use these, over the ear, design any more, but found them really comfortable. They also have the added bonus of shutting out other noise really well. Although they are large, they didn’t slip and my sons reported they were comfortable with longer use. Like so many earphones now, these are wireless, but you do get a charging cable, which will fit your PC. You do need to charge these for a few hours before use.On the right ear, you have volume control, while the left ear has the on/off switch and in game volume balance control. Overall, I thought the sound was excellent. For listening to music, these were clear and comfortable. The microphone was less of a success. Both my sons said the sound was poor and cut out several times. As these are fairly expensive, this was quite disappointing. So the sound quality would be rated a 5 and the microphone probably a 3. I have opted for the middle ground and rated these a 4.

Although expensive at nearly £190, I'm so pleased I went ahead and bought this set of headphones. I love gaming preferring it to TV any day and whilst I have decent equipment for viewing, my existing headphones were pretty basic. After trawling for hours through independent tech reviews I decided to take a chance on these Razer Nari Ultimate phones given the excellent reviews they'd received from the tech and gaming communities. I'm not going to give you my own review here, just Google Razer Nari Ultimate and see what everyone else says....they all say the same and they're all absolutely right. My own experience of using these phones is exactly the same as you'll read in the reviews. The Haptic feedback is awesome, a real game changer ( I know... but it really is ) the balance between volume and feedback can be fine tuned to suit your own preference. Once you've gamed wearing these phones, you'll never want to game again without them.

I like these Nari Ultimate headphones. The bass, bass drum etc really rock in music. Wouldn't have them too loud since your ears would take a punding - tinnitus is not nice. So with sensible levels, they give good sound. They are though more suited to gaming and sound very good on many games. The instrument placement is very good - sound stage is credible and same in games.Sadly the batteries do not last too long. There's no guide on the headphones to say how much power is left. I've not installed the beta software they offer so maybe that shows the power level... but not much use if you're playing a game. The gel ear parts didn't seem any cooler than other over-the-ear headphones.Overall I like them. They have a musical quality to them.

These are the best wireless headphones I have ever used. After using turtle beach Stealth 600 to these is a drastic increase in performance. Once I upgraded to pc I purchased these for my main headphones and I was not disappointed. The synapse 3 program, despite being in beta, is refined and has worked flawlessly with my cynosa and deathadder for amazing and unique combinations in both lighting and audio adjustment. The bass boosted mode is fun and easy to turn on and off. For a wireless headset the microphone sounds far better than most other wireless headsets despite is compressing the audio. I would recommend these to any gamer who would like a strong, robust and comfortable headset.

Arrived in a new sealed box, however product has a default? The USB slot on the headphones didn't line up with the frame on the headphones as pictured...This means I was unable to charge or use them - on the 3.5mm jack connection only one side of them worked? Very shocked about the quality from Razer, especially after forking out over £150.00+ I thought would and should have been tested before leaving factory? Still -Returned and exchanged via Amazon next day, and the new pair charge, plug in and work as expected.Quality of sound is great, and the gel cups are very comfortable. Got a stand too, which holds them very well. Just wish it was right first time.Amazon 1 - 0 Razer

Pros: Fantastic sound quality both in stereo and surround sound. Comfortable fit with an easily adjustable head rest, even after long sessions of gaming doesn't feel heavy at all. Haptic feedback is surprisingly immersive, not only hearing explosions or heavy bass in music changes but feeling them too adds so much more to immersion.Cons: minor struggling with charging whilst using the headset. Sometimes windows throws a fit and will constantly chime a new device being plugged in and removed. Restarting Synapse usually fixes.
