I absolutely love the direction that the Pokémon games are heading in. With Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Black/White and their sequels, the formula was definitely suffering from saturation, particularly as remakes of Gen 2 and 3 have been released as well.I want to give a massive thank you to the creators who finally got rid of the HMs, which have been nothing but a burden, forcing people to waste a slot on their team with a pokemon that knows only HM moves. This alone makes it harder for me to go back and play the older games.The second most noticeable change are the absence of gyms. Some people have been crying out about this negatively, but the trials are far superior in my view,

I played every single main series game exept black 2 and white 2 but I can ensure you that this game is one of the better games in the francise. It looks great and the gameplay is amazing. Here are my pros and cons:PRO:The gameplayThe storyThe looksThe new PokémonThe steel book ;DCONS:No more gts (why Gamefreak, why !!!!!)A lot of cutscenes (I would be fine with this because I love the story of this game, but theneutral face of you character makes the cutscenes a bit less SERIoUS(get is sirius, sirius black.... no?))overal one of my favorite games, tied with Platinum and Heartgold (so Gen four)

I've been playing pokemon games since the original red and blue andaged every generation since but pokemon sun and pokemon moon have the best story, character development and structure by far. Although some designs and mechanics can never compare to some of the older titles this one certainly is a strong generation for pokemon and I sincerely regard it as one of the best main pokemon games to date- maybe not the absolute best, but it's certainly up there.

I played pokemon when they first came out, and now my son plays the updated versions. He got pokemon moon as a gift but he had no one to battle with, when he wasn't at school, so i bought the sun version, i'd forgotten how addictive this game is! Graphics have come a long way since the blue and red versions on the GBC, game play is great, easy to connect for battle mode. A good game for all age groups, very addictive!

Fantastic game, a good refresh for the series, my only complaint would be the tutorial which just seems to go on forever, they need to add an option which asks you if you want a tutorial as I'm already fully aware how to catch a Pokemon! As for physical, the steelbook is very nice and parts of it glow in certain light, it's the small things I guess. If you're a Pokemon fan then yes, you'll love this.

Incredible game - first one I've played since the late 90's, and it's incredible to see how far it's come. Not sure the steel box edition is worth the extra money unless you're a die-hard fan, but can't knock the price for such a solid, addictive and bug-free (in the glitch sense, not the Weedle sense) experience! Recommended 10/10

Absolutely awesome game and refreshens the popular formula. This feels a lot more like a traditional RPG than the previous games, what with varying missions and side quests. If this means anything to you, I've owned every standard pokemon game (discounting snap and dungeons) since the original Red, and I love it.

Just a great game. Nice new story and plot with a good addition of new alolan pokemons. Not much to criticise about apart from technical issues like the pokemons in the game being so slow in terms of speed. It's almost painful to use them but still great.

A great part of daily routine, although very hard to put down, I play this on my New Nintendo 2DS and plays beautifully, upgraded from Pokémon Blue and Red so haven't played the versions in between as I like a dramatic change of experience

Amazing game i absolutely love pokemon played from the very beginning and this one is very different it goes away from the normal games it's definitely worth it and especially with the special metal case you get with this edition

Daughter loved this Christmas gift and worked really well to pre order, just delivered when released and no worries about finding the right thing. Liked it so much bought up to date 3ds to play it on and get full experience.

The game has its flaws like lower frame rate on older 3DS systems but all around from the cutscenes to the music to the design of the game world itself its what's come to be expect from Pokemon games - excellence

Finally, the Pokemon game that the 10 year old me imagined. A reinvigorated adventure for those that played it 18 years ago and those meeting Pokemon for the first time. Highly recommended.

Great game my son wanted it and this was the cheapest I found it. Arrived next day and my son was over the moon as he brought it with his pocket money

Great gameplay so far and I'm really enjoying the Hawaii feel but delivery was a let down and was a day late... Otherwise a good buy.
