I'ts the final pokemon game for the 3DS, and acts as "the third game" much like platinum, yellow, crystal, emerald had done before hand. In other words it's the prievous title with a bunch of new features and potential story add ons to make an enhanced version of the origonals, and out of all of these titles, the ultra games have the most on offer. Ultra Sun/Moon offer a significant chunk more of extra features than prievous third game titles have. While maintaining -a traditional focus on a third legendary-nekrozma-, giving said legendary it's own unuqie form, move toutors(competitive battles will apprechiate a slightly higher diversity this time), an alternate but still overall parallel story, new forms, and general postgame content-. The games offer more new content than other third game titles, from fighting off the threats from ultra worm holes that even include the prievous villians in team rocket, mini games involving pokemon like mantine, friendly if not a little pointless interactions with random pokemon across the islands, brand new pokemon which is a first for such titles and a few other post game features that leave ultra sun and moon more than your traditional cash grabs. They find themseleves a cut above the rest of prievous third entries, being overall just having far more content and content that is well polished and refined to give you an entry to the series that may be an alternative story to the origonal, but a story thats engaging, a game that keeps your attention and is ultimately a better experience than the game it's based in. In short ultra sun and moon is a straight up better version of moon and sun overall, and as for the million dollar question is it worth the price of upgrading when you have the origonals, i'd say yes. There is more than enough new features and enhancements to the origonals to enjoy making a return to alola for one more time, as for owning both as many fans do, well it depends on how much $$$ you have to spare, but either way for old and new fan this latest entry to the series will most definately make for excellent edition to your collection in time for christmas and definately a must have over the origonal sun and moon if you are thinking of venturing into alola.

Having played Pokemon Moon before getting this game, I felt that Pokemon Moon had some things missing. Ultra Sun (and it's partner game) is to be the last of the main series to be on the 3DS and Game Freak addressed that by extending the story, adding new sidequests and interactivity and allowing you to know more of the story of Alola and the characters rather than just Lillie. The story is set two years later than the original Pokemon Moon/Sun in an alternative story where the "chosen trainer" (you) never arrived and things had changed. More pokemon are discovered and you are once again sent out into the world with your starter pokemon to collect, battle and complete the Island Trials set by the Captains of each island. The changes are subtle but you soon discover that there is a new team on the block, Ultra Recon Squad. No spoilers from here on in but I shall list some of the changes.Rotom Dex is more interactive and if befriended, it gives you Alolan version of "O Powers" (X &Y) in the form of Roto Loto which you stop the rotating wheel to collect your powers from Egg hatch to PP restore, even improved capture rates. The menu buttons are more decorative and it is easier to save.Ride Pokemon are now able to be registered to the + pad for easy access.Starter interactions in Pokemon Refresh has changed a little. Pokebeans seem to make your pokemon friendlier quicker.Pokemon from other regions have appereared giving you more choice of types for your team.3 New Ultra Beasts.A reward for completing the Pokedex including an outfit.Festival Plaza has a Battle Agency (loosely based on Battle Factory).Post game episode featuring Team Rainbow Rocket. The final pair of Pokemon games to grace the 3DS (which is a shame) but an intelligent idea to do so rather than making the rumoured "Pokemon Stars" in my opinion. It allows us to trade version exclusive pokemon and help one another out. :)

I haven't played Pokemon game in years and when I picked my 2ds xl poke ball edition I wanted to finally get the latest instalment and see how it changed! And it has changed for the better! Amazing graphics, great battles, a deep story line. I love this game and has rekindled my love of the franchise as I remember playing the original all those many years ago. From the gameplay to the music everything is Pokemon but just well, better! It is quickly draining my 2DS XL battery and for all the right reasons. Oh and personally, professor Kukui is just so HOT haha I know it's just a game but always good to have eye candy! But honestly I love getting lost in this game and just taking in the scenery and battling my Pokemon.Highly recommend for new and old to Pokemon!

I was skeptical for a long while but eventually I had to cave in and get it. Ultra Sun is a beautiful game. Slight tweaks and colour upgrades here and there but apart from that it is essentially the same game as Sun.Until you get near the end of the game, without spoiling, the end game and post game alone is definitely worth the purchase. Although the main game stays generally the same (with a few twists) the fact that you can catch DIFFERENT Pokémon from the get go changes the experience, I had a completely different team in this one. And as usual the team changes many times across your journey!I had a blast playing this (and still am)and definitely recommend this game to new and existing Pokemon fans on the fence.

The game is a fine ending to the mainline games featuring on handheld consoles, I've been a fan for a long time and played through all of the games, and as much as I enjoyed Sun Ultra Sun blows it out of the water, the story line is better, there is a wider range of available Pokemon, and to top it off the speed of the game is much smoother, the first section is still a little "holding hands" style but after that it's great to play. I'd recommend this to old/new players alike. A solid 9/10 from me!My only gripes would be Festival Plaza, which is still a bit of a pointless gimmick in my opinion, and the Photo centre is also a bit pointless, but it's each to their own so I can't complain!

Item was exactly as described, perfect new condition still sealed. This isn't against the seller at all, the game is okay. Theres alot of cut scenes and talking which is annoying when you just want to play the game. I imagine some people like this but it isn't what I enjoy as I have been playing pokemon games since the beginning and they have taken the new games in a different direction, so. This being said. If you're old school like me just be warned that its heavy with dialogue, slow to start and remains slow moving throughout due to this dialogue, it lags during double battles and the story isn't one of their best. Just my opinion though, I know alot of people who enjoyed this game.

I'm enjoying this a lot more than I expected. I played Sun and didn't get the same excitement as with previous gens. I only got Ultra Sun because of the Team Rocket inclusion (I missed those guys) and despite little having changed, I'm really into it. Watching competitive battling on YouTube has given me a new appreciation and while I'll never be one to join them, I like the Pokémon I've seen so far. Not a fan of some of the new Pokémon (unoriginal in concept and design) but Litten is a great starter. In summary: if you've played Sun/Moon and you're not a completionist, don't bother with this.If you've not played Sun/Moon, get this.

The game itself is okay. It's 99% same as the previous game. If you need to decide if you want to get this in case you have the last game: If you play competitive online, it's an upgrade, go for it; if you don't play competitive and just go for the plot, you're not missing out. If it's your first Pokemon game, this is an okay introduction to the series. A few new features were added that could have as well been in the previous games which does make it feel like a pricy DLC instead of a standalone, the photographing being more fun this time. I'd rate it higher if it wasn't for the Dex that won't shut up.

My daughter loves this game. the main reason for lower rating (would be 5 based on her reaction) is i researched and discovered Ultra Sun has Lycranroc Dusk form (her favourite - more than Pikachu). It says its a bonus and U.Sun if you evolve during 5PM (uk time) he becomes Dusk. The Bonus of getting Lycanroc is false. that offer ran out 1st Jan 18.if you get this after that date then dont bother. dont get me wrong the game itself is meant to be good. she loves it. its annoying that the advert still states the bonus is no longer there. You do get a free gift (she got Zekrom) but its not the same.

I love this game. I can't understand why it's been getting a bashing by some who compare Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon negatively against Pokémon Sun and Moon. There's more to do in these updated versions. Mantine surf is really fun, the Ultra recon Squad is far better than the Sun and Moon post game, and in the Ultra versions we get all the legendary Pokémon to catch as well as the return of all the heads of all the criminal organisations to date in the new post game story. It's a huge improvement over Sun and Moon.

In today’s society when you’re lucky to get more than a grunt from a mid-teen, or be blessed with their presence in the same room, so buying a game that’s playable on a handheld device big advantage. I’ll explain why;1) the child can actually leave their room while playing it, meaning they can join family events (even if still playing & ignoring the world)2) they can walk and play, some supervision required3) you can introduce them to people (in the physical sense) & they grunt in reply

Fun game. This is my 3rd or more Pokemon game. I enjoy this one more as something about it being “moon” related makes it more appealing to me. I’m new to this franchise. I enjoy the genre, characters & the story. Very cute. I can see why people get addicted to this game! If I didn’t have to work, I’d probably play this pretty much everyday! I rate 2 stars for difficulty as in, it’s quite difficult for me as I’ve mentioned I’m new to the franchise and this genre is new to me as well.

My niece banged on about this product from its announcement date so she was thrilled to receive it on Christmas morning. She’s currently studying game design in school (what a time to be alive) and spoke very highly of the graphics. As a matter of fact that’s all we heard out of her as she proceeded to stay glued to it all day, allowing her long suffering mum to indulge in a few well earned prosseccos! 10/10 would recommend!

Ignore the haters. I’ve been playing Pokemon since gen 1 and the Sun/Moon games are easily the best of them. More story, better characters, best UI and game mechanics but with the same classic catch and battle system that’s been the core of the franchise. Some complain that it’s easy, but there’s nothing stopping you imposing your own rules to make it more difficult. Kids still play this game, after all.

The game is truly fabulous - my son loved it and was entertained with the game for weeks on and off, there are many amazing features such as being able to save progress and come back to it later, which stops fusses at dinner and lunch, no problems with running it, amazing graphics and it isn't too difficult to play according to my son once you get the 'hang of it', and isn't too easy either!
