Views and hype leading up to this game have been largely varied, equally the response when it was finally released. After reading the good ones and the bad ones (and there very bad ones from Japan..!) I can see both sides of the coin and why people have those views.But here's mine. Every main series Pokemon game has two different versions. Let's call one Sun and one Moon, for arguments sake. Sun was very, very different from any other main series games but it was very good and enjoyable to play. The problem is, even when you complete the Pokedex and exhaust the game for all it's content (and continue playing for shiny hunting, etc) you sometimes want to start the journey again to re-live the story,

So firstly I think this is a great game. I've only played around the first 10 hours and have enjoyed it. However, there are several personal negatives for me. I should explain that I bought Pokemon Moon last year and set out to complete the full pokedex and I played it for about a month. In that time I collected a lot of pokemon, but only reached the 3rd island. Hopefully this time I managed to complete the game. Looking back at my old pokemon game, it makes me realise how pointless it's been to try and complete the pokedex. It's become a complete waste of time for me and I'm struggling to enjoy this game now because of that.However, this doesn't take away anything from this game.

The game is a fine ending to the mainline games featuring on handheld consoles, I've been a fan for a long time and played through all of the games, and as much as I enjoyed Sun Ultra Sun blows it out of the water, the story line is better, there is a wider range of available Pokemon, and to top it off the speed of the game is much smoother, the first section is still a little "holding hands" style but after that it's great to play. I'd recommend this to old/new players alike. A solid 9/10 from me!My only gripes would be Festival Plaza, which is still a bit of a pointless gimmick in my opinion, and the Photo centre is also a bit pointless, but it's each to their own so I can't complain!

Argos have invited me to review a game I bought for my daughter. I will base my review on what I have observed. She has played it a lot and it has lured her away from the techo-narcotic that is Roblox (which causes my laptop's cooling fan to run flat out). So I'm liking it! It seems to be entertaining her. She has been impressed by the graphics. She has not flung her DS against the wall in frustration so I don't believe the difficulty is too bad. The price was competitive; clicked and collected.

I purchased this for my son, and I cannot get him off it! He loves playing on it and loves that you can do different missions and tasks, thoroughly with the money. Also, little tip. There is a feature on the game to scan QR codes from Pokemon card packs, to unlock various Pokemon once the QR code is scanned. However, my son went round our house scanning all sorts of different QR codes from bottles and food packets to toy packages, and they unlocked really cool Pokemon! #pokehack

Well, it's been a very long time since I last played a Pokémon game, in fact Crystal on the Gameboy colour. When I started playing this, I instantly got back those old vibes, whilst it having a fresh new feel. I'm so glued to it, I played 5 hours on the first day! The starters are excellent and I really recommend picking this up to any Pokémon fan. Only complaint is the difficulty, which fluctuates, I usually keep exp share off for more fun in order to be challenged.

As far as Pokémon games go, this is the best yet - easy to play, even for younger players (my 6yr old had no problems), great graphics considering the platform, and enough things to do after completing the main game that it totally justifies the price.Gamers who already have Sun/Moon may be disappointed in the relative lack of additional content - only die-hard PokéFans will want this as well as the older version.

Having played the original Pokemon Moon i was anxious about buying this in case it was just the same but it adds enough new stuff to do post game and the inclusion of Ultra Wormholes to get the Legendary pokemon was fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to play Pokemon and is a great send off for the Pokemon series on the 3DS

Bought this for my sons birthday present as his sister has the Ultra Moon version and you need both versions to collect all the Pokemon (which is the aim of the game). It’s kept them entertained for hours so far and they haven’t yet completed it (my son completes other games within hours of purchasing them).

A fantastic upgrade from Pokémon Moon, new Pokémon to find in the wild from different generations, the music has gotten even better and more epic from the wild battles to trainer battles, my only criticism is that tutorial lasts for ages 3 hours in and the game is still telling me simple things to do

You can’t find this game at this price anywhere and even less brand new and sealed with a little present inside the envelope yay! Thanks for everything.About the game? Addictive as usual, good story, lovely graphics... What could I say about this game that isn’t said already?

My 16 year old grandson was bored during the lock down so looked for a special game for his 3DS XL. This game was exactly what he wanted, it was delivered on the day and with in the time slot given to us.He's still playing it and far more settled with the lockdown rules.

Pokemon Ultra Sun is.a very enjoyable game,.which carries on the rich and prestigious history of the Pokemon franchise. Its story mode, graphics and longevity are absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend this game to all of the Pokemon lovers and gamers out there!

I preordered the game and it arrived by midday on the day of release as promised and was well packaged.The game itself is similar enough for fans of previous games but different enough to make it worth the money.Would definitely recommend to all Pokemon fans!

I got this for my daughter for her birthday. She loves pokemon. I was a little Apprehensive at first as I thought it was a lot of money for such a little game. BUT.... my daughter loves it and hasn’t put it down since, so it’s definitely worth the money
