I really like the fit of the Osprey pack for the Camino! Make sure you get measured correctly as to the correct size of a pack you should get. I was limited on how tight I could get it around my waist and up on my hipshelf. I should have gotten an extra small woman's. I love how it is off your back, off your spine, especially with a number of herniated and degenerate discs in my lower back. I love that there was air ventilation, air flow, along the back too! Both were a big deciding factor for me. All other packs laid right on the back, on the spine. I like the storage and the small storage packs on the hip. The only problem I had was that it was difficult to retrieve my water bottles on the sides.I wish it was angled forward like my Osprey 65 litter AT pack. I had to get help to pull the water bottles out which was an inconvenience. I wasn't able to drink as much water as I should of on the Way. I ended up Jerry rigging a tubing system with one of the bottles. Using the straps, I carried an exterior waterproof bag with my sleeping bag. Nevertheless, it would be great if they could angle forward the water bottle webbings for easy access. The pack also comes with a whistle on the front strap and a pack cover. I had to buy a bigger pack cover which I used in a all day masoon-like horizontal downpour! The pack is easy to clean in the bath tub with Oxyclean, hot water and a toothbrush. I wish the straps were darker, either blue, black to hide the dirt but overall, a great pack! I wouldn't use any other pack! Also, make sure you train with your pack, adding weight until it is fully loaded with items you will take and train with your shoes months before, before you go! I met a gal who was going next month. She said she 'watched all the videos' and 'know what to do' yet, hadn't even trained with her pack nor broke in her shoes. She is in for a big surprise! When I went, I didn't get one blister! I trained with my pack weighted and with my hikers several months, walking up to 12 miles, prior to strengthen my back, legs and feet! I had an outstanding Camino! Buen Camino!

I've used Osprey packs for years. They are strong, light and carry well. Designed for women this is a great day or overnight pack. Our first use was a 9 mile urban hike including picking up a few books at the library. My wife was very happy how it fit and how well it carried. She had no problems during our hike. Being in Seattle we had to use the rain cover as well. The purple pack isn't overly bright as the photo on the Amazon page. Some of the features:Great separated air space. We have a long hill to climb for our last mile home but her back didn't get too hot.Waist pockets are great for snacks or keys but too small for iPhone.Rain cover worked great.Being in Seattle we needed it and it was very easy to just pull out of a pocket on the bottom of the back and cinch over the backpack. Helped keep the books dry. There is a large pocket on the bottom accessible from the back to hold something like a sleeping bag. I generally put something like that in there as it helps to stand the pack upright if you need to set it down.Water bottle pockets on both sides. I prefer water bottles over those large sacks. Two pockets in the lid. One accessible from outside. There isn't an inside pocket but there is a separate compartment.A side zipper allows you to access the main compartment without unstrapping the lid. There are three different types of drawstring locks. Two are the typical squeeze and release but we were disappointed that the main compartment uses a pull to release. You have to use two hands to loosen the string for the main compartment and even then it was a bit of a chore. When you are out and about you want quick access inside your pack and this took a bit of time. But that was the only problem we had with the pack.Overall, a fantastic pack. Great color, dark enough that it doesn't stand out that much.

Life tends to be disappointing a lot of the time. People and things let you you down, so when something exceeds all expectations it's beautiful and rare. Osprey is a brand that exceeds all expectations. I first purchased an Osprey pack 15 years ago. It is an Aether model and I still use it today. I'm not an extensive backpacker but I do go 2 or 3 times a summer and every time I go I know my Osprey pack will get me to where I need to go. The attention to detail is amazing and there isn't a buckle or strap or anything else that is cheap or will easily break. The biggest difference between Osprey and other brands is that in an Osprey pack everything on it has exact purposes. You can tell a lot of R&D and thought went into every pack. I now also own an Osprey Stratos pack for day hikes and it also never lets me down and has all the exact compartments you would need for a day hike. I now have received this Sirius pack that my wife and daughter use. They love it just and much and not only do we get compliments as a family with "cool" looking packs, we really are well equipped for any circumstance, weather or anything else that happens. This Sirrus pack has all the features beginners need but is also ready to take on advanced tasks not storing trekking poles and attaching on climbing equipment. Besides every compartment feeling like it's in the right place, the other thing that sets Osprey packs apart is just how comfortable the straps sit on your waist and chest. This is obviously super important on long hikes. The mesh backing on the pack also keeps sweating under control. May not as big a deal for women but for me, if I don't have breath-ability, I get super damp and wet. Overall Osprey is an iconic brand that makes the highest quality of products that I wholeheartedly endorse.

I love this backpack. Had it for 6 months now and it gets regularly used and is standing the test of time. It's incredible how it fits to your body and everything is so adjustable so it feels like it's been custom made to fit. The weight distribution is perfect so even when I have a full pack, roll mats and my tent strapped to it it really doesn't feel like I am carrying anything.I personally love the purple colour, it's very dark and practical but still eye catching. The backpack looks and feels such good quality. It is strong and robust whilst being very lightweight. It has lots of easy to access pockets and can work well just as a daypack but also has all the handy straps for clipping sleepingbags and tent on to for overnight stays and wild camping.Everything about this bag has been well thought out and it just works. So many great features like the little zip pocket on the waist strap which is perfect for phone or keys/ easy access to coins etc. The spring 'trampoline' back of this bag is great. A lot of Ospreys have this feature and it works so well for ventilation and stopping the sweaty back thing when on a hard hike. Another great feature is the built in water resistant rain cover that folds away into the bag itself, such a great thing that all backpacks should have!Really can't think of a way to improve this bag other than maybe giving it front or side opening.Over all really happy with this backpack and it is proving to have been worth every penny.

I bought this pack for the Camino across France. Keeping in mind that I didn't need to carry sleeping gear as I stayed in Auberges, this pack was perfect for a 3 week hike. -comfortable -lots of ways to adjust the pack as your body got tired over the course of the day or for different terrain -ample room -the rain cover worked very well -the mesh frame meant my back was rarely sweaty -note that the rain cover does not cover the hip belt pockets, so these get wet in the rain -I find the hip belt pockets not large enough for the things I need regularly, like my phone, so I didn't use them much -on a long hike like this I had 1L water bottles, and they don't fit in the mesh holders; it just meant that I had to stop whenever I wanted a drink and take my bottle out of the bag But I will say that the hip belt pockets/water bottle holders were pretty small points. Overall, I found this bag to be excellent and would recommend it to anyone.

I just received this pack and so far so good. I was shopping at my local REI, but they didn't carry the sirrus 36, only the stratus 36 and I really wanted a women's fit. It came down between this pack and the mira 34, of which I like the functionality of all the compartments more, but the new version only comes in the Anti Gravity hip straps and as a woman with large hips, I just could not make the AG pack fit without really making my hips sore from the clamping as it's much more rigid and not large enough for my hips. The comfort of the Sirrus is fantastic so far! I am just still trying to figure out where to put all my work things for easy access as there are less compartments. In the end it's a more comfortable fit and that's the most important. I cannot wait to try it out in the field! I will update my review then.

For day or 2 hikes and long walks with my partner. I experienced no discomfort during or after. It's a very good pack and highly adjustable. I have the smaller size and it adjusted perfectly for me at 4'11''. I'm surprised that the shoulder straps adjusted so well considering a smaller frame and the width between the two straps (for neck area) is actually considerably narrow for slight builds which suggests a pretty intelligent design. For a 10-12 km jaunt I didn't bother with the breast clip across the chest and the pack stayed in place like it was a part of me. It moves with you and feels pretty good. It is weightless overall and very good weight distribution, feels fantastic at the hips.I think I'll be using this for a long time yet. Very happy with the purchase.

I've taken this bag on several day adventures as well as lightweight multiday treks. It does squeak a little when it's lightly loaded but I hardly noticed. For the three day treks was able to fit all my gear inside the bag as well as a 3L bladder and two Nalgens in the mesh pockets (I had no problem using these side pockets even with a fully loaded bag). I'm very happy with this bag, it is extremely comfortable Cons I wish the front pocket was mesh similar to the larger bags The "brain" at the top of the bag is stitched in place and therefore cannot be adjusted for an oversized load. Im disappointed with the number of reviews commenting on this bag's inability to hold a phone in the hipbelts,in my mind this shouldn't be a deal breaker

I bought this pack for a 6-day hike along Hadrian's Wall in England and it did not disappoint! Overall it was really comfortable and allowed me to carry a fair bit of weight before it became noticeable. It was also the perfect size to fit everything I needed inside.Loved the bright colour, the design, the number of pockets, the waterproof cover included and the side zip access.A few aspects I would change were:(1) It was a tiny bit big for my petite frame (5'1, 7.5 stone) and the frame is not adjustable like on some Osprey packs(2) The two zipped pockets on the waist belt, whilst useful for my wallet and a pack of tissues/cereal bar, were too small to fit my mobile phone in (I have a Huawei P30 Pro).

This backpack is unparalleled for comfort. I have significant shoulder and back problems, and I have been through a bunch of backpacks, finding nothing but pain with each one. This backpack literally feels like nothing on my back. It is almost magical. I can load the backpack up with my heavy textbooks, laptop and lunch, and it hardly feels like anything as I hike up and down the hills in my town. The only downside: I wish they made a backpack with this wonderful harness system but with a more student lifestyle pocket system. Other reviews mention a squeak - there is a squeak but I hardly notice it at all.

I love that this pack has so many pockets and compartments. I love the duel opening on the front and the top of the main compartment. The sleeping compartment seems a bit small. Gave this pack a 4 star rating because the hip belt pockets are too small. Can't fit my phone, which means my phone/ camera is not easily accessible. I put it in my water bottle pocket, but it is difficult to reach and vulnerable. This is my first hiking pack.

Wonderful, sturdy pack. It is no secret I'm a big Osprey fan. Their quality shows in each product and when this came up on my Vine queue I had to grab it. At 36L it is slightly smaller than the Farpoint 40. And built for a woman it fits my wife better than the male version of the backpack. The only major difference is this is top loading only. That may not make much of a difference for some folks. The purple is a nice color too.

Purchased this back pack for use on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain. I have been training with it for about 3 weeks and have made adjustments to fit and it works great! I'm 5'7", 162 pounds and I'm using the Small/Med pack and it fits great. Very adjustable. The pack is roomy and has plenty of pockets and multiple access points to your gear in the main compartment.NICE pack!

We love hiking and travelling but my girlfriend's other Osprey backpack was too big to be carried as cabin luggage when flying. It was also too big for day hikes and short holidays. This one fits the bill completely. She's delighted with the space and comfort and now can get it onboard without worrying. Osprey is top notch. This is the 5th backpack of this brand that we have at home.

I bought this bag as my first day pack, and am very happy with my purchase I've had it 4 two years now and it has been wonderful. I have enough space for all my gear and food, along with other people gear. The one downfall is my phone does not fit in the hip belt pockets easily. I really have to try to get it in so it's not worth it. Other than that the pack is awesome.
