I gave these shoes a 4 star rating because the shoe laces are not worthy of the shoe. Firstly it's very difficult to tighten the shoe up very much as the laces are so thin and even after doing a double knot they still managed to come undone during a training session. With regards to the lugs, I have had only once an issue with a small stone lodging in one of the lugs which gave a bit of discomfort, apart from that I am happy with the shoe. It is fairly lightweight and performs well on grip when going downhill. Not waterproof unfortunately but hopefully these shoes will see me through a good many races. Lightweight enough to be used on shorter trails and perform ok on road surfaces when I have had a trail race with some road included.
