I just recently in the past few months started to use primer. I dabbled with a lot of different brands and nothing really made me say, "Wow this primer is amazing" like this Angel Veil from NYX. It's really lightweight and mattes my oily skin yet does not leave my makeup feeling cakey. It does come one white but it's blendable.You really don't need much of this (the first time I used it, I used a little too much where my face was white but I was able to blend it in and it was clear on my face. No longer had white tint)Putting it on is such a nice velvety and silky feel. Since I use a small amount to cover my face unlike when I first put it on when I tried on the product,it doesn't leave a white cast like other's complained about nor it did flake off (maybe those people are not using moisturizer beforehand or using too much?)I have olive skin with yellow undertones and very oily skin. This primer left my face matte for hours. I have oil blotting sheets because of my oily skin. I didn't even have to use it during my whole 8 hour shift. I use this primer with many different foundations such as bare minerals, NYX matte foundation, MAC studio fix, Maybelline Fit ME! liquid and powder foundation, E.L.F foundations etc) and I love how it feels with all of those different foundations I use (I use different foundations depending on how I am doing my makeup, laziness and how much time I have to do my makeup).I used cheaper foundations in the past with disappointment. I used high end primers that I do like but unfortunately my wallet doesn't like.This primer is perfect!

Today i am reviewing the NYX shine killer primer base.My skin is normal, a little oily on occasions, I find the primes really soft.I sometimes do react to make up, but I have worn this most days and it is perfect for me personally.A small tube just 20ml, good in some ways for putting in my make up bag.I wear the primer after toning and moisturising, and apply make up on top.Currently priced at £12.00 so a decent price for meBefore I received the primer via Vine for a truthful review, I have never used any. However the primer is good for removing any imperfections on my skin. Comes out the tube black, but magically on my face it is clear. Dries on my skin clear, soft and feels nice.Suitable for all skin tones.Can be used on its own, I do put foundation on after before make up.The product is Vegan, not tested on animalsI like the fact the primer takes the wet shiny look from my face, also has helped with defects caused by pimples.I always apply to my T Zone first as that area is my shiniest point.Dries very easily and fast, no tackinessI do find though around my deeper “ age” lines around the corners of my mouth does emphasise that fact, so I do not put around that area if wearing make up, if at home, I put the primer on a full face.I am aged 55 and I find hydrates well. The primer is silky to touch, my skin is very soft.Having never used a primer before, I have to say I will be continuing as I like the effect on my face.Thank you to the seller** I do hope my review helped, kind regards**

I have never bought into the whole using a primer before make up application before but how wrong I have been!! This works fantastically and I can't believe I've never used it before. It is white in colour and dries pretty much instantly after application. It leaves my face looking a little pale but as it's intended purpose is to go under foundation that is not an issue whatsoever. It gets rid of any shine and has a matte effect. Using this I have actually reduced the amount of foundation I use as it allows it to spread so much easier. My skin is so much better now.The primer has no noticeable smell and once applied it leaves my skin so soft. You only need a small amount for your entire face(think garden pea size)I sometimes have dry skin and this even goes on fine over my moisturiser. The primer fills in any large pores or fine lines which means when applying foundation it has a smooth platform. My foundation usage has halved and I find I'm getting less spots because of this. This has completely transformed how my foundation, bronzer and blush etc looks on my skin. There is no shine at all which is great and I'm finding it stays in place all day without fading. As I'm using less make up its lasting me much longer, it's actually saving me money!!Overall I highly recommend this. I have sensitive skin and this does not irritate at all. If like me you've never used a primer before and are wondering whether you should give it a go I say you should. Treat yourselfI hope this was helpful to you ?

Immediately after application of this primer, my skin looked and felt smoother, the lines on my forehead appeared reduced, and my pores were less noticeable. After applied my foundation over it, I was thrilled that it glided over my drier areas - no caking or flakes. My makeup will easily last after 12 hours.The real magic is in the gold flakes: the fine particles mainly reflect the light, so they honestly aren't very noticeable, you have to hold a mirror inches from your face to be able to see them. The primer also works by filling in and evening out the surface of your skin leaving fine lines and larger pores reduced,so that your foundation applies smoother and doesn't cake in and around the mentioned lines and pores-Q1I also enjoy wearing this primer alone to give my dry skin a break from foundation; this primer perks up my complexion without the heaviness of the colour correcting formulas of foundations and BB/CC creams. It doesn't magically airbrush my skin or anything like that, but is does help to blur discolouration, lines and pores worn alone, so my skin does look more even then it does alone.I'd never really bothered with primers before, as my dry skin is very sensitive to most products, but now there's no going back. I'm very happy with how this primer works, so I'll buy it again

I’ve always had quite oily skin which I’ve managed to keep under control with finding a skincare regime that works for me, the only down side to that is my pores are quite enlarged now so I was delighted to try something that may help!The primer is a pale nude colour which when blended seems to become colourless and camouflages onto my skin. I don’t really wear any makeup so to have a natural look is quite important to me, you really cannot tell this is on your skin at all once applied and it feels so soft to touch! My pores are still there, however it doesn’t claim to completely hide them and only minimise. Having said that my skin looks very smooth and even whilst having this on,my pores are noticeably reduced and my skin has a very healthy glow to it - without looking like it has product on. It’s extremely breathable ad subtle, I’d recommend it to any guy or girl hoping to minimise their pores or make their skin texture appear smoother. It lasts all day and my face stays matte, there’s no oil or greasiness at all which I love - even by the end of the day my skin still looks great!I absolutely love this primer and will continue to use it as part of my skin care from here on out, it really makes a difference!I hope you have found my review helpful! :)

I’ve tried A LOT of different products to reduce shine, I thought I had found the holy grail in a product by Clinique but like all good cosmetics it for some reason was discontinued... anyway I’ve started to digress.I’ve tried everything you can imagine to help reduce my skin looking shiny but no matter what I had used nothing really seemed to fit where the Clinique product had filled, until now!The Shine Killer primer is simply A M A Z I N G ! If you are someone that suffers from high-shine skin then this is the primer for you, a little goes a long way and it’s competitively priced (actually cheaper than a lot of other brands),the coverage is good and balanced with an almost invisible finish (ideal if you are just wanting to look fresh faced but keep that shine under control). The longevity is good-to-great, I’m able to get a full work day 7-8 hours without having to reapply which is a huge positive as I’ve used others that offer good initial coverage but slip in under 4 hours and would require further application.All-in-all this is now my go-to primer and I honestly don’t know what I did without it, please NYX do NOT discontinue or replace this product, it’s perfect!

This primer gives a nice golden glow to my skin and acts as a highlighter without looking fake. It blurs fine lines a little bit but it does seem to settle in deeper wrinkles, so I would avoid putting it anywhere where deeper wrinkles are an issue. For me, it's good to highlight my cheek bones and under my eyebrows but I need to avoid my 11 lines as they look worse. I rarely wear foundation, so I don't know what it would be like with foundation on top, but nowadays, I feel like my skin needs a bit more of a lift sometimes than just a bit of blusher gives me and I find a light primer does the job for me. Because I'm not used to foundation, I like a light look and this gives me that without looking like I'm wearing face makeup.I do wear eye makeup and lipstick, I've just had trouble finding a foundation that doesn't make me look orange. My skin is touchable, it doesn't come off on my hands when it's dry and it gives my skin a nice golden shimmer, like I used to have when I was younger. Strange how we try to get rid of the shine when we're younger and then try to put it back when we get a bit older!

This primer more similar to a serum in my opinion. It has some skin-loving ingredients like honey, collagen, hyaluronic acid and Jasmin flower extract , but it also contains denatured alcohol that can cause some serious dryness (it’s the 3rd most concentrated ingredient). Anyway, I loved the way this felt on my skin. Despite having a sticky formula it absorbed quickly and my skin felt incredibly smooth and supple and I also noticed that it reduced the redness on my skin. I tried using this directly under my foundation and under a moisturizer followed by a foundation (like I would with a serum). My makeup went on very smoothly,it looked bright and illuminated.Another thing worth mentioning is the fact that this is formulated with light reflective gold flecks, which sounds fancy, but may be a bit pointless. I find that those gold flakes just sit on top of the skin so it looks like you’ve got a pieces of glitter stuck to it. They don’t seem to dissolve or absorb into the skin.Also great to use on make up free days. My skin feels silky soft and hydrated. Highly recommended.

I have been primer hunting for about 4 months now to find one that a truly love, and I finally have! This primer is AMAZING and you can use it as a serum.I was excited to try this for the first time after passing it so many times at Superdrug. It's a very beautiful looking product with the gold flakes sitting in the formula. When I first opened it, I wasn't sure how well it would work as a primer since the consistency was so watery and thready. I was sure it would probably make a great face serum though. The smell is pleasant. It's almost a citrus-y scent, close to lemon. The applicator is a small spatula connected to the lid. I apply it by opening the lid, letting a little of the product drip back into the container,and smear what's left onto my face. Then I just rub it into my skin with my hands.This is amazing, my skin looks so hydrated with a lovely glow all day long. My makeup never ever stays on, but with this it lasts all day. I won’t ever use anything else and won’t leave house without putting it on. I wear it without makeup too to give my skin a healthy glow.

Long story short, I made my skin very mad after an unfortunate astringent decision. This resulted in redness, blotchiness, and worse of all - PEELING! I was desperate to find something to keep the moisture in and help improve my complexion. After all but giving up, I came across Angel Veil - Skin Perfecting Primer. With a name like that, it was worth a shot!After purchasing, I went home and did my regular face regiment - exfoliated, used a moisturizing facial cleanser, toned, and moisturized... I crossed my fingers and applied the Primer. IMMEDIATELY, I recognized the difference in this product. Angel Veil felt light and smooth. I put the rest of my makeup on and hoped for the best. By mid-day,my face was still hydrated (but not oily) and by the end of the day, my skin was in remarkably better condition.Words cannot express how impressed I am with this product. While I'm not fully convinced of its longevity in terms of keeping makeup on my face; but I am 100% convinced of its ability to perfect my skin's texture. I highly recommend this product!

I have oily skin, so I was a bit hesitant to try this at first, but I am beyond impressed with it! It has a sticky feeling on the skin (like honey), but it’s not thick or oily. It dries and gets absorbed quickly.It’s also really hydrating and makes my face feel so smooth and look super healthy/ I started mixing it with my moisturiser to use after cleansing my face, and over a month my face has become considerably smoother and my pores aren’t as prominent as before.I love the little gold flakes in it. They’re quite subtle and only stand out when I don’t put foundation (so thankfully I don’t look like I jumped in a pile of gold glitter), and they add a lovely luminous glow to my face.A brilliant primer to use with or without makeup.I’ve been using it for two weeks now and haven't even dented the bottle so great value as a little goes a long way. I was very excited to try this out as I have some quite large pores on my face (mainly cheeks) and I wish I could show you via a photo but it’s very difficult for my camera to show even my pores.At first I didn’t think it had done a whole lot but after a few uses, you could definitely see that the cream was causing a blurred effect. Which I was very happy about.Not only that but the cream is so lightweight, you don’t feel it at all! It goes on like silk, feeling weightless and soft.You don’t need much of it before it works it’s magic, also causing a slight matte on the skin which is fine by me as Iv got oily shiny skin which I’m always trying to cover so that’s a welcome bonus.Money wise,I feel it’s worth it if you want to cover some large pores you may feel insecure about.The tube doesn’t feel totally full but this cream is very lightweight and that may be why.It’s definitely high quality and it’ll do that job that’s for sure!I’d definitely recommend!

I don’t wear a lot of makeup so my face can sometimes look a little dry and dehydrated. I ordered this little bottle of NYX plumping primer as it advertises that it is good for dry skin and gives your skin a plumped look. The bottle comes with a little spatula integrated into the lid but to be honest I apply a few drops to my fingertips and then massage it all over my face and neck. The product contains flecks of gold which are meant to have anti-inflammatory properties. This product is so smooth to apply and sinks into my dry skin straight away. If you are applying makeup afterwards then wait for 10 minutes for the serum to work first.I am finding when I use this product that it makes my skin look very dewy and fresh and am starting to wear it every day. The bottle may be small but you don’t need a lot of the product per application so although ai have been using it for a good couple of weeks the bottle still ha plenty in it.

I was really surprised seeing 'shine killer' primer in black colour.. even after applying on my face, skin was like covered by thin layer of mud with some darker smudges..This product is very smooth when applying, it is similar to Elizabeth Arden's capsules. Skin feels soft but in other hand I noticed dry skin patches on my face. I have used it for 3 days now and my skin still shines on forehead the most. Rest of the face struggles with dry skin so I'm not sure can I continue using this product on it's own as a base for foundation. I may need to mix it with moisturizer. I really like how smooth skin is when applying this product but after all it dries out my skin on cheeks and around the nose..Product is lightweight,spreads easily on skin and doesnt have any noticeable scent.Probably I will continue using this product but only with moisturizer to prevent from skin drying out. It should be used within 6 months from opening.

I got the pore filler and must admit I was a little underwhelmed when it arrived, I assumed it would be bigger but the tube is fairly small. It comes out quite thick, I used the amount shown in my picture which only just covered my checks, nose and under eyes so you’ll need more than that if you want to cover your whole face. It comes out beige but doesn’t seem to show any colour when on the face. It has silicone in so it made my face nicely smooth and gave me a nice base for my foundation which went on top of it well with no caking. In terms of reducing the appearance of my pores, I didn’t really notice much difference unfortunately,they maybe looked slightly better but were still obvious with this on plus my foundation so it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped.Overall I’ll enjoy using this as a nice primer and base for foundation but I wouldn’t recommend it specifically for hiding enlarged pores.
