I bought this product a couple of months ago; I was eyeing it for some time and decided to take a gamble despite the somewhat mixed reviews here. Honestly, the poor reviews predisposed me to thinking it would probably not work well, but curiosity got the better of me. I'm so glad I tried it because never expected any primer to work as well for me as Honey Dew Me Up does! I have combination skin that is very dry in some parts and very oily in my t-zone. To complicate that, my skin is both acne prone and eczema prone as well. All of these skin issues have led me to be disappointed in the past; most often a primer that worked well on my dry areas led my foundation to slip and bunch up in my t-zone.This primer addresses all of these problems. I've noticed a reduction in acne and eczema in the dry areas, and even though my oily spots still get oily, my foundation never slips or becomes patchy. Foundation never looks flaky anymore, and this helps to prevent creasing in some fine lines I have around my eyes. I know it is often recommended that you moisturize before you prime; however, with this product it is not necessary. Seriously, this product has even made foundations that never worked for me before look beautiful, so it has even been cutting down on product waste. Honey Dew Me Up is amazing! Since other people have said it feels more like a serum, perhaps this primer is better suited to those with very dry skin? But, like I said, it does perform well in my oily areas too. My suggestion to any future users is to set aside a few minutes (3-4) after applying it to let it sink in/dry before applying foundation on top of it.

NYX Professional Makeup Honey Dew Me Up PrimerContaining just 22 ml of primer, which to be honest doesn't really sound a lot. Where in reality, the bottle is actually quite large, size wise the bottle measures 7.7 x 3.1 cm. The bottle is made from glass with a black plastic cap. The cap has a built in plastic application paddle which makes gauging how much primer is remove from the bottle quite easy. The paddle also helps prevent wastage, any gel left on the paddle or excess that's been scraped off the skin will be returned to the bottle.The liquid contents of the bottle are gloopy, gel like in consistency. The colour is light honey with gold coloured flecks suspended within,these flecks catch the light and sparkle when the primer is applied.Only a small amount of this primer is needed as it spreads over the skin quite readily. Once the primer is in place it seems to help the foundation flow nicely over the skin when applying. The primer feels a little tacky when applied but after a short while it dries out. The gold flecks look good as they catch the light.My wife was very pleased with this, it feels good on her skin, it's also easily removed. This is amazing!Very visually appealing.I was a little apprehensive at first when I heard 'honey'.Upon opening, I see a wide open lid, and unusual for primers, an almost type of scoop! I actually really like this feature as it means you can get every last bit of the product thanks to the both features there!At first it looks like it may be runny but it tidies itself up nice. Once you have scraped off any excess, as a little goes a long way so I only recommend leaving a little on the scoop and add more if necessary afterwards. The scent is divine. So fresh but feminine at the same time, I really like it.You can tell as you're blending it into the skin,it's cold dewy formula spreads very well across the face meaning you only need a little and the bottle will last a good length on time. I couldn't manage to get a good picture, but I love this, I have a beautiful glowing, fresh look to my face, leaving me so healthy looking I'd wear this without makeup on! Not one part of my face felt tacky, everything dried wonderfully and there was no bits building up if you rubbed it in too much. (I've had that issue with previous primers)The make up went on perfectly. My eyeshadow really popped! My foundation and contour lasted all day until I washed it off.I would definitely recommend, absolutely amazing primer!

I love Honey Dew Me Up primer! However, I ise this product in my everyday skin care routine. I wash my face with cleanser with my clarisonic then I tone wich also has an exfoliater in it, then I apply the Honey Dew Me Up primer as a serum, then I apply my moisturizer. This product seeps into my skin so well after cleansing. The ingredients in this product are amazing. I literally saw results after one use. After just one use by adding this into my skin care routine, the next morning my acne scara diminished, I had an amazing glow to my skin, the plumpness that my face had and has kept was truly amazing, I was shocked and surprised at how amazing my skin looked with just one use.I now use this everyday and the moisture and plumpness I get with my skin is just honestly to good to be true. I would even reccomend this for anyone who has oily skin, because it is not oily, greasy or shiny, its just amazing, solid, and seeps into the skin like butter without feeling like butter. I cant even believe this product is as low priced as it is. You always are looking for that one product that will change your skin for the better overnight, like a miracle, the holy grail, and I found mine. Thank You

I gave this to my mum and this is her review:I haven't used this type of primer before but was looking for something that would keep my makeup from running into my wrinkles whilst evening up my skin! Yes, I'm off 'that' ageThe product comes in a glass jar with a spatula. I wasn't quite sure how to use the spatula as there are no instructions.I washed and dried my face, used my usually face cream and allowed time for it to sink into my skin.I opened the jar and pulled out the spatula, the consistency is very much like runny honey. You need to be careful as it trails from the spatula to the bottle if you're not paying attention.I used the spatula to put some onto my face and had to use my fingers to rub it in.To my surprise it soaked into my skin straight away and didn't leave any sticky or oily feeling.I put on a liquid makeup base and had no trouble spreading it around, no gloopy or flaky bits appeared.My skin showed a slightly more even tone and the makeup stayed on all day without 'bleeding' into my wrinkles.I will be using this every time I wear base makeup and would recommend it to others.

Right, I have personally never written a review before because let's be honest who has the time. anyway i especially went on here to right a review because this product is the best thing that has ever happened to my face. having struggled with problem skin for most of my adult life it was scary for me to try a new product. however within moments of use it instantly turned my face routine upside-down. PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. i struggle with an oily yet dry face and throughout a busy working day my makeup just comes off, no powder, primer, setting spray or blotting sheets could handle the inevitable oil that would cover my face in a matter of hours. this product changed everything.it not only makes my face feel soft and moisturised it is DRY so that there is no oil or sticky feeling that most primers give. it makes my makeup go on nicely so i actually look nice for once on a daily basis, and the oil has significantly been reduced. can't stress enough how much this changed my life and 10000% worth the price. goes to show what you pay is what you get.

I was initially a bit afraid of buying this product because of the price tag, as well as the fear that it would break me out like the 2 other primers I used before. The staff at the store were super, super nice and they really helped me out pick the products I needed.My biggest concern was to find a primer for dry skin that wouldn't make my skin look even more dry when I put the foundation on (even though I use a Revlon foundation for drier skin). The initial feeling is very, very slick, and then it gets sticky, but don't be afraid. Once the skin absorbs it, the feeling it leaves on the skin is really good. The golden flakes don't do much except for looking good in the bottle.I have noticed that my foundation looks like second skin when I use it.It doesn't crease around my problematic areas: my smile lines and my forehead, as well as around my nose.This product made my skin look a lot less dry, and I'm finally happy with the way my makeup looks!

This quickly became a staple in my makeup routine! I follow my moisturizer with it and it makes my face feel smooth and helps lock in the moisturizer I use. My makeup sits great on it as well.There are very few products that I get to the end of the bottle with and this is one of them! (Writing my review as I purchase bottle #2). It doesn't break me out and it keeps the moisturizer locked in, which I can't say about other primers that I've tried. My skin is generally dry, and sometimes I get weird patchy spots that are drier than other parts of my face and this helps keep everything even. The gold flake is just fun, I think, and doesn't usually show up at the end of my makeup process.Also if you're worried about the price, a little goes a long way. I usually just wipe one side of the spatula on one cheek and the other side on the other cheek and then rub it all over and that's plenty for one application.

I have had something of a love/hate relationship with make-up primers. I like the idea of a primer, something that is applied after moisturiser and before make-up, but, until now I have not found one that is particularly satisfactory.Nyx cosmetics are great - I have several little pots of concealer in different colours for various problems such as age spots, redness on my chin etc, so it was a real treat to try this primer.Unlike other primers I have tried before, this is not the least bit sticky or gloopy, Applied five minutes or so after moisturiser, it sits on the skin nicely and makes a great base for my foundation cream and blusher. My skin feels and looks fresh, even several hours after application.Whilst I cannot claim my skin looks younger, the age spots and red patches are not nearly so noticeable. Cleanses-off easily at the end of the day.An excellent product, highly recommended.

Gave this to my 15-year old daughter as a Christmas present, so this review is from her.This comes in a quite small bottle, with a screw top lid. Attached to the lid on the inside is a small spatula, with a flat end, that you use to apply it. The primer can be a bit stringy when you take the spatula out of the bottle, but less so depending how warm the product is.Applying it is quite easy and it goes on my face well – you don’t really need to use that much. Which is handy, as the bottle is only 22ml. It works well with my foundation, which does seem to last longer than it did before. I also find that taking my foundation off now is easier.I think it is worth the price, £13.78,and would consider buying it.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative and useful.

At first glance, I thought this product looked greasy and oily. Having oily skin myself, I thought it would just make it worse. However, i thought I would still try it.How wrong I was! It has a spatula like application attached to the lid of the bottle. I don’t use very much. Maybe a blob on each cheek and forehead. It smells absolutely divine. It blends really easily using your fingers and leaves a smoothie, almost matte finish which is exactly what I’d want from a primer.I then apply my make up which it helps to minimise the large pores I have.For £15 I think this is reasonably priced. I absolutely love it and didn’t think I wouldI would recommend this to anyone needing a trusty primer whichsmells lovely and fresh and also feels smooth without being greasy on the skin.

Personally I really like this primer. It does good job for combination and dry skin. It makes my skin feel hydrated, smooth, soft, ready to put foundation on. From begin I was a bit sceptic to use it because of the jelly sticky consistency... but eventually applied it in my face, spreaded all over.. felt wet and cold for few seconds but when settled on my face, felt fine. Didnt get any allergy reaction at all, no even redness ( sometimes I get that with certain facial products). The scent of this primer reminds me of tea tree shampoo I had in the past... but apparently its honey dew :)Overall- after applying primer my skin feels great, moisture, smooth, not tender, not itchy, not red.Lovely and well presented in glass bottle with golden bits in it.

First off...this is really more of a SERUM than a primer. This is not going to hold your makeup on like a silicone primer, but it is still pretty amazing. It is full of really fantastic ingredients. Especially Hyaluronic Acid, which helps the skin to absorb and retain moisture, the Portulaca which is anti-inflammatory and calming, collagen, and we love Allantoin, which is very soothing and helps increase water absorption to the skin, and also increases the smoothness of the skin; promotes cell replication and the healing of wounds, burns, and scars. Not to mention all the amazing botanicals. The ONLY thing that bothers me about this is the "gold flecks" .They are just unnecessary and a gimmick that just doesn't make any sense.

I've been eyeing this product for a while. When I finally used it, I was so tired that I forgot to put my moisturizer on first. But I am so glad I did! I applied my moisturizer 5-10 min after it dried, then my makeup, and my skin was FLAWLESS the entire day. And this is given that I work a very physical job where I sweat often. The next day I used it as a primer, and I actually had to wash my face after a couple of hours because it was sticky and made my makeup look streaky. Definitely recommend this as a serum, NOT as a primer. For reference my skin is combo, oily t zone, yet super dry and sensitive, with large pores along my cheeks/nose. Overall super happy with this product...Just would never use it as a primer again!

At first I found the product to be rather sticky and I wasn’t sure I liked it but over time I have gotten used to the stickiness and it does dry quickly so isn’t a big deal. You only need to use a small amount so it’s lasting so well meaning it’s great value for money.It is a fab primer. The pictures (not the best look!) show how bad my skin is to start with before primer and make up. I need to use products that last over time as I do t want to scare people later in the day! and most don’t but the 2nd photo shows me 10 hours after applying makeup, using the primer 1st. 10 hours later and my foundation etc are holding on pretty well I’d say!This seems like a great primer and I’m happy to recommendit.
