okay so, I am a HUGE makeup fan. I have been doing makeup since I was 13 I am now 18, It took me years to find a foundation primer that helped my oily skin and that helped my makeup smooth out and look flawless. I first washed my face with the dermotolgica face wash, THAN I put this primer on and first it feels like a lotion but as your rubbing it in your skin it starts to feel really smooth. Like you can tell even without makeup on. I than started to blend out my foundation with my beauty blender and my Jaw dropped! It covered my pores not completely but mostly because mine are a bit larger but I have another primer I just put on my pores on my cheeks I used the smashbox pore filling primer(

I have never really used primer before, but as a 46 year old with an increaingly deep 'number 1' frown line between my brows, I decided to give a silicone primer a go, given that they adhere and help disguise lines and wrinkles and get the skin prepped for foundation, etc. I haven't used the primer all over my face, but just around my eyes and on my awful frown line. I have been REALLY impressed by it. The slightest amount only is required (my top tip is to not use too much, as it can appear cakey and flake off if overloaded) It is enough to blur the frown line before adding a touch of foundation or concealer. Often I don't even need to use a foundation over the primer as the primer is enough to conceal it.

Bought this as an alternative to the Smashbox Photofinish Primer.I really like this primer. It it almost like a moisturizer and is very smooth when applying.It does require more to get the same primer-coverage in comparison to the Smashbox primer however I find that the end result is the exact same. After I wash my face and moisturize, I’ll apply this primer and then apply my foundation and/or concealer. I’ll finish with a dust of pressed powder and set with the Mario Rose Water Setting Spray.I love that this product doesn’t test on animals unlike most other mainstream cosmetic companies.I look forward to trying other cosmetics by this company. Pros: this is a great formula given the price and is comparable to designer primers. The formula is similar to Smashbox’s photo finish but a bit more diluted. It helps your foundation adhere to your skin and overall is a good product.Cons: Given how diluted the formula is you have to use quite a bit to cover your whole face. Also, the bottle even when brand new doesn’t feel full, like there is only half a bottle left.Verdict-Because of how much product you have to use for full coverage and the lack of product in the bottle to begin with, this product isn’t really the bargain you initially might think it is.

I'm in my 50's with mature skin and decided to give this a go under my tinted moisturisers and BB creams as they tend to drag and look patchy on my wrinkly areas. As this was so cheap i thought why not give it a go. I didn't really expect too much from it to be honest but wow, massive difference in how my makeup looks! My BB cream glides on and is very even all over, no dragging or patches. it's a huge difference and it feels so smooth on your face. Why has no one told me about this before!! I will never be without it now, what a little gem this is!

Everyone seems to rant and rave about this primer but I don't really like it, I use loreal infallible foundation but this primer is no good with it, it makes my foundation smear, with streak lines a 2 minute job takes much longer to get it to look smooth, it does even out after a while but who has time for that in the mornings, not half as good as others I've used, I did read that you have to use the right primers to the right foundation , which this obviously isn't good value for money just didn't work well with my foundation. ?

This is a lovely product for the price...i have large pores and it definitely reduces them and ahe smaller ones are impossible to see really...i have tried so many different high street (as thats within my budget) primers and even some online and this is the best one yet...it smooths face and my make stays and sits lovely and lasts and i dont get make up doesnt smear during the day....will definitely be buying again plus delivery was earlier than expected (which is always nice)...so no issuses there...one happy customer:)

This is an amazing product. However, in this bottle there really isn’t a lot of product available. I was probably able to get 10 or less uses out of it...and no I wasn’t using tons at a time. It is absolutely great, makes your face feel plump and hydrated and makeup goes on really well...I just wish they made a larger bottle. I would still recommend buying it because it really is that good. Just remember you won’t get many uses out of it.

i didn’t expect this to be all that. i have combination skin, & i also have acne prone skin. my pores are large. i’ve tried everything out there, honestly. but, this stuff. this primer works absolute miracles that i myself will never understand. it isn’t cakey, it’s almost the consistency of a face lotion. big, it soaks into skin quickly & creates the PERFECT base for my foundation. i love this stuff & i’m so so pleased with it.

I love The Ordinary products, not only the price-point, but the quality as well, so when this came up as a suggested item, for only 9.99, I went for it. I use BareMinerals powder foundation (amazing- try it) and nothing- NOTHING has helped bond that to my face more than this primer. My skin was shine free- no weird foundation streaks- perfect after 10 hours on the first day using this. Yay!

I bought this after reading multiple reviews and seeing how inexpensive it was, I took a chance and bought it.Best. Decision. Ever. It controls my oils and prolongs the longevity of my makeup. Combined with the Coty Airspun Loose Setting Powder in Natural Extra Coverge translucent powder your makeup is guaranteed to last all day. Will repurchase since I’m out.

I used this product before my baremineral application and it stayed on for my 14 hour nursing shift and I had multiple people complimenting my skin! For the price I HIGHLY recommend buying this product and buying at least 3. This entire brand is brilliantly amazing and their prices make everything better. Cruelty free and my skin has never looked better.

Absolutely love this stuff. Never used a primer before. I don't fuss much with make up. Usually just mix foundation work moisturiser and rub it on with hands.But this stuff makes the skin so smooth. Previously if i tried to apply foundation on its own it wouldn't spread out well and i prefer not to look caked! This makes it glide easily and evenly.

What a fantastic product. I know it’s a dinky tube but my goodness it’s worth every penny. It evens out my skin beautifully and makes my makeup look flawless. I have bought several products in this range and will 100% be buying them all again. This seller is also extremely helpful and very professional. Big ticks all round I would say

If you like silicon based primer, you’ll like this. Chose it as silicon primers suit me better, than cream. Not as silicony as smashbox photo primer though. Minimises pores, the main reason for purchasing, blurs fine line also, makes a great base to apply make up on, with no slippage of make up. Definitely a re order item for me.
