If you have a complete boxed copy of Donkey Kong 64 then this little widget is dead essential. Though not packaged with the peripheral in the PAL region, Perfect Dark and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask also need it to run, and they both look incredible, but loads of other N64 games can greatly benefit from its insertion into the main drive on the console. If the box has an 'Expansion Pak Compatible' notice on the front then the game may receive a higher resolution (640 x 480), less draw-distance fog or an increased frame-rate.The one drawback to the device is it causes a particular game (Space Station Silicon Valley) to crash if its installed, so if you want to play that and then see the brilliant enhancements to Rayman 2,

If you have a game, or two, that uses the expansion pak properly, then you can definitely see the difference to what they are like without it. In some cases, it is more important than in others, for example, Donkey Kong 64 (good game) will NOT run without it and in Perfect Dark, only the multiplayer options are availiable. But, however it dosen't matter non-compatible games, although the speed is slightly better. A dead handy thing to have, and make no mistake.

really good packaging i thought and the item in good condition too + bonus little pack of Haribo's i found in the packaging which i personally found really cute and made me smile :) good service and if i had of been at home to collect the item it would have arrived dead on predicted time :) will be sure to use this company next time if it is available :D xx

Donkey Kong 64 was the first game I bought which required the expansion, and it had a big impact - it was needed for the game to work. However, any notion that this has an impact on all games is not true! This pack is simply a memory upgrade, and does not in anyway improve the performance of games that 'dont' require it. Don't be fooled!

Any serious N64 gamer should already have one of these expansion paks. For the little amount of money you have to fork out it's well worth it. Lets put it simply - if you want faster, clearer, better graphics get one. Pretty soon all the new games will require it anyway - so if you don't have one - you're left behind!

I was a bit reluctant to shell out for an expansion pak, due to the price, but they are essential. Some superb games such as Perfect Dark and Zelda Majora's Mask require the expansion pak and loads of games are enhanced by it. If you want top quality games, get an expansion pak.

I had plenty of games that didnt need a pack but were compatible with it, so i bought one, and well the results are awsome. Sharper graphics, less stuttering especially in multiplayer mode. Also the best games on the 64 need one, perfect dark says it all!!!

These are quite hard to acquire now that this console is discontinued. While and I had bought quite a few generic versions that had issue after issue., I am pleased to report that this one was not only genuine, but it works like a dream!

If you have a N64 you need this powerfull item! It increases the quality of video resolution and colours are more bright and rich. Also improved the fluidity of dynamic images. You must have it!

While it might not be required for many of the games, it's totally worth getting one for Majora's Mask and Perfect Dark alone both of which are two of the best games for the Nintendo 64.

I am using this on Zelda OoT and have noticed a big difference in the graphic quality after installing this. No N64 owner should be without one.

This allows you to play some of the best N64 games like Perfect Dark and Majoras Mask, while adding improved graphics to all the rest.
