Being the custodian of two dogs, fleas can be a source of annoyance and consternation for them in particular, but also for me as their owner. People say that dog fleas don't live on humans, but that doesn't mean that they won't give me a few trial bites. This summer (2019), my dogs were invaded by these vile pests, and when that happens, a whole necessary rigmarole has to be undertaken. This includes 'Spot On' type flea killer on the dogs themselves, as well as a thorough treatment of their bedding with fleas killer, and heavy spraying of carpets and soft furnishings with similar. A decent flea brush, such as this, is also a requirement, and I am pleased to say that this one is very good at its chosen purpose.

This is a great little flea comb which has a really comfortable handle. It has less teeth than others I have bought but I'd say you have to buy a comb like this instead of cheap ones. They are much better and you're going to want to be happy holding it for a long time!We're lucky our dog doesn't have fleas but we got over a flea infestation a year ago which effected our white rabbit. The flea comb goes through both their furs really smoothly (the rabbit has fine, medium white fur, the dog has coarse hair with a double coat) although I'd say if our dog did get fleas using a comb might be ridiculous!

I'm really not sure that I would want to use this to comb my dogs for fleas, it would take a long time and it would be hard to be sure that I had covered it all and not missed any fleas or eggs. I didn't get it for that though, I got it because one of my dogs is part of a research project and I have to send in regular hair samples from a brush or comb that hasn't been used on another dog. This is perfect for that and the handle is shaped to make it really comfortable to hold. The pins are firm and it all seems to be made very well and should last a long time.

As well as the fine comb picking up potential fleas or eggs, My cat seemed to take a liking to being brushed with this fine tooth lice remover. When i brush it through her fur, I can clearly see any debris and hair, Which makes it easy for me to check for any infestations. Of course its best advised to use this in conjunction with a spot on treatment from the vets, As the comb cannot guarantee complete removal of fleas and eggs, But the fine metal teeth of the comb does a good job at combating the issue.

So, it's flea comb, similar to the one we already have and use. And our cat doesn't have any fleas as it's combed now and then and is treated with whatever the vet charges a leg and an arm for. Plus we have a good flea spray.So 'testing' it was expected to be largely perfunctory and a bit pointless.Except it wasn't. Imagine our surprise when some fleas turned up on the test comb. There they were, small specks of brown that crawled across the comb and then jumped off!Where's that spray ?!?

Much cheaper than buying from your vets office! Very high quality and does the job very well. I actually use this to get small bits of mud and dirt out of my dogs fur after wood walkies, but have had to use it recently as our neighbour has acquired some dogs from god knows where and they clearly are covered in fleas as our yard is now crawling with them and now our dogs! So this little brilliant comb helped sort that issue right out! Highly recommended!

I have four dogs all with different coats so I tried this brush, it is very good overall it worked out some mild knots on my wire coat girl, it brought out some muck on my long coat and the two short coats it found fleas! Very versatile brush I am impressed. None moaned about me using it, it was easy & quick to run through all the coats it feels nice to hold, seems well made.

These are brilliant it's my 2nd one, I keep one in the car as my dogs like hunting and go through brambles in pursuit of rats and rabbits, I give them a quick comb through to get rid of thorns, grass seeds, goose grass balls etc

Very nice, solid comb with easily cleaned, strong teeth. The handles excellent also, nicely designed and great grip. My cat doesnt mind it being used on him and has no discomfort, really good product.

Great comb I can see find tiny flea where are spotting on my dog's fur. I comb it and very easy. Also I can wash by hot water from kettle prevent bacteria. This is great comb anayway.

Easy to use, good handle grip, better than the one it has replaced, use every month after fleeing my cats to remove any fleas or eggs left behind.

This is actually amazing. I doubted that it would work but it combs out the eggs and fleas, you've just got to get the cat to sit still!

Having a handle on a flea comb is a great idea. Especially if you have an animal that doesn’t like to be combed and will bite you.

This is a must for dog or cat owner. Very comfortable handle, easy to use. Just as described.

My dog didn't seem to mind me pulling the comb through his hair and it worked really well.
