I was a bit worried about the reviews for this as it has so many bad ratings. However it was really cheap, so I decided to add it to my order.-it looks really nice.-it's super light.-it actually works on my shiny glass table and it works well, without any skipping or issue. I can move it accurately and it doesn't jitter unlike other optical mice I have. I was a little shocked by this.-this thing is TINY. I have hands of below average size and I think this mouse is insanely small. As I purchased it for a travel device it completely suits my needs, but I would never want to use this as a main mouse. You are definitely going to have to finger mouse with this, and as other reviews mentioned, there is nothing to rest your palm on so you'll need a wristrest if you're going to use this for a while. I can't see this being at all ergonomic for heavy use.-I forgot there was a scroll function until I randomly tried to scroll and it worked. It works surprisingly well too without a wheel. I read through other reviews where the scroll function was all over the place and I suspect the drivers have been improved since, because the scrolling is smooth and the speed seems comparable to a regular wheel. I use it exactly the same way I would use a physical wheel. I do wonder if people who have issues with it have larger hands and therefore are flicking their fingers across the surface much further. You can also set the scrolling in the Win 10 control panel mouse settings to be 1 single line instead of the default 3 lines and that makes it scroll quite a bit slower.-you can touchscroll horizontally and vertically, on any part of the mouse, not just where the printed line is.-no middle-click that I can find.-no zooming or panning (ie no multiple touch gestures, unfortunately)My use case for this device is mainly because I use a tablet and selecting text / right-clicking with the pen can be a real pain, so this mouse is basically a glorified highlighter and right-click button. For that it's pretty much perfect and takes up minimal desk space. I do have a larger mouse for serious work. If you want to mouse for long periods of time I would recommend buying a full sized ergonomic mouse.

I recently bought myself a PDA device, which is pretty much a pocketsize laptop. I got myself a stylus for it, but something was still missing. A good old fashioned mouse. Nothing beats the ease of a mouse. I wanted a mouse that was small enough to fit in my pocket, but yet still comfortable to use. Considering the time we’re in with everything being so portable nowadays, I found it surprisingly difficult to find a small and compact mouse for my PDA.Luckily enough Microsoft still makes the Wedge Mouse, which I have been using for a couple of weeks now. The Wedge is compact enough to easily transport it around with me in my pocket, and considering how small it is, it’s surprising comfortable to hold while using. The mouse feels very well made, as per usual from my past experiences from Microsoft’s hardware. I like the feel of the click on a mouse, which may sound weird to some people, but that is an important factor in a mouse for me. Scrolling is very fluid and pleasant too.The only con about it I can think of is the fact it is powered with an AA battery, it’s a shame that the mouse has not been updated yet to simply have an internal battery that you can charge without replacing it with another external battery. To be fair, the battery life on the device has been flawless in these early days of use though.Overall this mouse for the price is truly amazing. It’s easily portable in a pocket, yet so comfortable to use. I have had no problems with it so far, and hopefully it will be an important accessory for my PDA for years to come. Although this mouse could also easily be used on a desktop or normal size laptop as well, I would highly recommend this mouse for anyone that needs a portable mouse. A well deserved 5 stars!

It's called the Microsoft Wedge for a reason, the shape, size and weight of this mouse is similar to a door wedge.Add a few buttons to a door wedge and that's how it feels to hold and use this mouse. In my personal preference it is quite uncomfortable but manageable. It is a nice size and perfect for travel, the blue tracking technology makes it suitable for use on a lot of surfaces, even glass desks. The responsiveness is quick and it's nice and compact. The click has a bit of oompf to it, it's loud enough that you'd hear it in a library but also quiet enough that it would be just about acceptable in a libraryMy own unit was damaged, which I won't factor into the review as I believe it was a simple manufacturing fault.Overall 4/5 due to the convenience but a point off for the lack of ergonomic design and reasonably loud click

I remember when this was released (£70), no longer available from MS. I came across the Wedge while looking for MS Wheel/Dial for new Surface Pro 7. It's very small 60cmx 50cm, a little larger than a box of matches, & works accurately on most type of surfaces, & even better with a mouse mat. The Wedge is way over-hyped, as it has quite basic functions. 2-button click, & touch surface only allows 4-way scrolling up/down/left/right. Sold as Touch Mouse, Surface Edition but (same as original) with no improved features & most importantly without any of 'Surface' functions. The mouse is very accurate (perhaps down to the 'Blue-Track' Tech), 5-Stars at £18. Original price & lack of functions would only get 2-Stars,one for Mouse Accuracy & Another for Size/Portability. MS needs to do better! (ps. Available at £12 Amazon April 2020)

I wanted a mouse for travel that is -SmallLightResponsiveBluetooth and no Dongle.Well - this is it - it was up and running on my Surface Pro 4 within 2 minutes of unboxing.Tiny - you bet. It works great for me - I have I suppose medium to large blokey hands - not shovels.Even came with a battery. Now ordered another and will probably buy half a dozen as Xmas presents.Great product - seems well made.So far very happy.NOTE - I have a Dell XPS 13 and no way does this mouse even get recognized - I have 3 other Microsoft mice that all work.Just bought another - and this one works on the Dell-XPS 13 - all very oddMartin

Wow. I brought this, initially, for my ipad mini. Having paid a ridiculous fortune on the apple magic mouse and being non too impressed (its very slippery and very sensitive), I saw this and decided to give it a try. Especially at the price point; I figured, what was there to lose?Well this tiny thing not only connects to my ipad, android phone, macbook and imac without issues; it is also a lot easier to handle and use than the magic mouse 2. Don't waste your money on the MM2; just go and buy this. It'll connect to everything. Scroll features and such work as expected on all devices, too. Very, very impressed.

This item arrived today, and it is superb! And for the price of £10, amazing. Only down side is that all instructions etc. were in Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish & more. Not a problem if you have paired Bluetooth devices before. Quickest pairing I've ever done. If only Microsoft could put a bit more thought into some of their other products. The 'type cover' for example. I've had three, and they all fell over. The communication between Surface Pro 4 and Lumia 950, not for the faint hearted. The Surface Pro 4, and the Surface Mouse are, however, better than anything Apple or Google could achieve.

I bought the mouse to go with my Dell Latitude laptop and it compliments it nicely. Yes it is a small mouse but actually not too bad to use for a few hours at a time. You quickly get used to the clicking noise of the buttons which isnt too loud. And the 4-way scrolling works well but most of the time you use the standard up/down scroll as with all normal mice and you can scroll anywhere on the pad. I did not have any issues in pairing the mouse and it pretty much worked out of the box. Brand new item in a nice box which is great to give as a gift.

Curious design. I was worried that the wedge shape would be annoying, but for something so small, it's surprisingly comfortable.I use this with surface pro - just a cheap mouse to drop into a bag.Connects easily, clicks when it should, and tracks with diligence.I wouldn't recommend it for prolonged desktop use, as it's not THAT comfy.Only downside for me is the lack of middle button.I do a lot of 3D modelling, so it's something I use a lot. However, if you need a small mouse for mobile working, look no further.

I've got big hands but wanted this mouse to go with my Surface Pro while on the move. It came on time and well packed as you'd expect from Amazon and was easy to connect to my Surface Pro. Once connected the mouse works very well.I'm not sure I'd want to use this all day every day when at a normal desk, but it's more accurate than a touch pad and small enough to be very easy to carry round with me. At the price I paid (about twelve pounds) it's great value for money.

This mouse is one of many I’ve owned and I can say I’m pretty pleased with it.It’s been in constant daily use for over 6 months now, and has been a very reliable partner to my Surface.Being very small/compact is the big selling point. Build quality is also very good.My one reservation is that the scrolling function isn’t great, nowhere near as good as the Arc mouse I had previously. Something to bear in mind.

I was after a very compact Bluetooth mouse for my very compact laptop, so that I can easily transport it around without having to attach a dongle and this is perfect!!!After a few tweaks in the settings, I am now using it from my desktop too.Of course it is tiny and take some getting used to but if you understand what you're getting it should fit the bill nicely and at £12 it's a steal

Bought this on the off chance that it would work with my chromebook over Bluetooth as I fed up of using a dongle Microsoft mouse and having to take the receiver out each time I packed it up.This paired straight away with my chromebook and works no problems. It’s a shame it doesn’t have a little case to protect it but it’s still a greatprice for a multifunctional mouse!

I liked the look & thought worth a punt as had some pretty ropey mouse over the years that cost more. It is v.small but actually found it really nice to use. More often than not with my tablet & found dead simple to set up straight out the box. Only gripe is the speed of the pointer. Bit slower than used to & can't be adjusted. Otherwise a v.tidy piece of kit.

2.4.2018

Absolutely tiny but feels very solid and well made. Paired with my surface quickly and easily and seems to be working reliably enough. Definitely not a mouse to use all day long given the ergonomics but a big improvement on using a trackpad when you’re out and about. For the heavily discounted price (£14 at the moment) absolutely no complaints
