Can't go wrong with Logitech products in my experience, and this wireless mouse is no different. I've had a few of these over the last 5 years, each previous one being replaced as a result of my own clumsiness! There's a reason I keep coming back to these! In the time i've owned Logitech wireless mice, i've never had to replace the battery, and that's with heavy, everyday use (sometimes 12 hours a day) and never switching it off.One of these was kept in my laptop bag and taken everywhere with me for around 18 months. It was dropped, bumped, knocked, and still it performed as it did when new.I've always found these to be "plug and play" devices, installing themselves within seconds of plugging in the USB receiver dongle, without any required input from me.The only issue I had with one was when it was dropped onto a hard floor from a high desk. The impact was enough to break one of the plastic retainers for the scroll wheel. A few minutes taking the mouse apart and hot gluing the broken piece back into place, and all was well!I knocked one star off the durability rating for this product due to a small issue with the battery cover i've had with the last two mice. The cover doesn't seem to "click" into place. It slides into position as normal, but it doesn't clip closed as it should. I think this is due to the plastic "transit strip" of plastic which isolates the battery when packed, and then needs to be removed prior to product use. It's quite thick, and therefore possibly distorts the plastic of the battery cover over time. With all this in mind, I would still order another one without hesitation as and when my current mouse meets it ultimate demise at the hands of my cumbersome activities. Absolutely love it!

I needed a cordless mouse in a hurry and it was delivered the next day. I took a gamble on the quality of this piece of equipment. With the thought That It was not a large amount of money to risk. But to say I was pleased with it-is the understatement of the year I am over 80 years of age and suffer from Parkinson's disease which affects your mobility and dexterity.I was thrilled when I found that this little fellow was a joy to use even though it is quite petite. Not a good thing by in the opinion of the experts on the subject. But I find it to be just the thing for me.It is lightweight and I find it easy to use with the tips of the fingers and thumb.Even carrying out quite complicated jobs in Photoshop. It is foolproof to start using from new simply remove the safety tab from the Battery compartment insert the battery which has a surprisingly long life for a gadget giving the sort of hard work mine gets. There is no software to load.Or inaccessible buttons to press in tandem to get the devise to register with the computer.Just insert the radio part in a UHB port on the computer.I break all the rules and use a hub with no noticeable ill effect. The UHB plug i no more than 18mm long which makes it ideal for use with laptops.I can say this with confidence as when i found how suitable this mouse was for me I obtained one for my own laptop. Another point which probably is not relevant to the more able bodied- is that I am inclined to doze of if I have had longish sessions ,only to be brought to my senses by the sound of it crashing to the floor It must have done this at least 20- times recently and still kept on working merrily. I think you could call it a tough nut and one which I unreservedly recommend..

Is it a good mouse? - YES. Good basic wireless mouse with good price.Buttons: 2 buttons (left, right)Scroll: Soft regular wheel (stepping wheel)Batterers: 1 AAPower: on/off switcher to save energyBattery life: Haven't tested. This Logiteh M185 Wireless was bought as a replacement of dads dead laptop touch pad. He also had a ancient wired mouse. So I bought him this one as a gift.Very good budget wireless mouse. Grate price/quality ratio.Work well on any regular surface, such as: cloth, soft sofa, desktop, laptop itself. This is an optical mouse (no red laser, just a "camera").Mouse already had included battery so I was surprised.+1 to Logitech carma.I've been used a lot of different mouses and I own Logitech Anywhere mouses MX for my laptop and I'm very happy with it 4 years.I have large hands and I like small mouses. This mouse have the same size as Logitech Anywhere MX, just slightly narrower in the middle than MX.This mouse doesn't have extra side buttons.Click is bit quieter than MX (MX have louder click than average mouses). Also click is soft and not instant for example MX can only click or not click, not soft enough to do "almost clicked" as Logitech M185 do.I like instant clicks, but this mouse is good enough to forgive it.M185 is lighter than MX.I was satisfied with type of surfaces it working with.Ready! Stady! Plug in play!

I recieved this as a gift on Christmas day and, after about 4 hours of usage, can safely say it is pretty much perfect; The size of about 10 or 12cm means it fits very nicely in the hand. The scrolling is smooth on its own, but even smoother after you download the free app from Logitech called 'Flow Scroll', which makes the scroll transition considerably smoother, with minimal jolting and a satisfying flowing motion. Also, as well as being a brilliant wireless receiving mouse, the USB wireless connector is almost unnoticeable. The clicking is relatively normal, no strange clunky clicks or oddly quite clicks that make you question whether or not the mouse has actually clicked at all!The biggest selling point for me is the usability; it works on nearly every surface: Fabrics, books, carpet, skin! I won't be able to test the apparent 12 month battery life until precisely 26th December 2013, at which point I shall update this review (that is unless the battery life fails before then!). The fact that it has no lights or visible laser is probably saving battery so that's plus. The only other aspect left to comment on is the simplistic design, which may not appeal to some, but then again you can buy it in blue and red so that may resolve this issue (if it is one).Overall a great mouse, any issues or 'new developments' will be included in an update.

I ordered this mouse to replace a wireless Microsoft mouse that I had been using for a couple of years.Good Things:- Mouse is light weight- For me, despite its portability, the mouse is the perfect size for using as my main mouse- Micro receiver means that I can leave it in my laptop all of the time.- Solid feel to the mouse despite its size- Cheap!!Not so good things:- First mouse that I bought failed after a couple of months of use, but Amazon replaced very quickly and I have been using the new mouse for a few months now with no problems- Battery life is not as good as my previous Microsoft Wireless mouse. Currently getting about 3 months from this mouse which is still good, but was used to nearer 6 months from my MS mouse. In summary, I am happy with my Logitech Mouse, and would definitely recommend and will buy again should I need one. That said, would purchase on price, and would not be so committed to this mouse that wouldnt consider another quality brand that was cheaper.

Logitech is a very well-known brand in the field, and that's for a reason. From my previous experience Logitech products never betrayed me. Thus, after my cheap mouse died (less than 6 months since I bought it), I decided to go for this little mouse. The build quality of M185 is fairly good, it is entirely made of plastic which makes it light to carry in your bag. The size of it is a bit small but you get used to it very quickly, plus this makes it compact. The package is very simple, as you would expect, the mouse comes with an AA battery (which is an unusual surprise) and the USB receiver. The battery seems to last for quite long. Although I am not able to give you numbers, the on/off button on the bottom of the mouse definitely will save you a lot of battery juice. Below are the main pros and cons...Pros:-Easy to carry in your bag-On/Off button-Long battery life-Perfect for laptopsCons:-Clicks are a bit loud- For some users that like heavy mouse it will be a disappointment

I had a M185 for almost 4 years now and it always worked really really well! Its small, but not too small and the precision and handling its really good. It works with just one battery that lasts 1 year and it's really comfortable to operate. I've had other mouses before, more expensive ones, that at the end of the day will cause me some pain on my hand, and this one never did it. Really ergonomic! So now, after more than 4 years of use, 8 hours a day, the right key of the mouse started having some issues, meaning that still works fine but you need to press it harder to work. I guess some dirt might be causing some problems. So I just ordered 2 more M185's, one for me and one for my wife, and they just work superbly! The one issue, is the serial number printed under the mouse that doesn't match the serial number on the package!!?!? That's very strange... Or its a Logitech error on the production line, or it is a counterfeit mouse...

Bought it as always preferred a mouse to trackpad. It's just a matter of personal preference as I feel a mouse just speed things up for me.This wireless mouse is smaller than those which usually comes with desktop computers. This is a plus to me when it comes to carrying it around. The nano receiver is always plugged into my win 8 laptop and have not had any issues whatsoever to get it working.Battery life is so good that I have now resorted to never switching it off in an attempt to find out its true battery life. Just over two months of everyday use and never been switched off after the first week.Only downside is to remember to carry it downstairs, just me being forgetful at times. Also, tried using it over a book with a glossy cover but it wouldn't work; otherwise it works on all other surfaces I have tried it on so far.Couldn't have been any happier. Absolute value for money.

I have used mice of different sorts, from the ones that are wire, rather than wireless. I have liked some and not others, but never really thought I would be interesting in which mouse would be easy to use, look good and work so easily - sitting in the palm of your hand as well.If you need a new mouse and aren't sure what to go for, I would recommend this one, with it's small and unobtrusive flash card that plugs into the computer and then not actually seen or needed to be seen, for a long tim.I've have had this mouse for around five years and looked at mice bought by other users, but still think my mouse is the best - and the blue stripe just underpins how to look good but not intrusive.I have two computers and three identical mice - I need to feel comfortable that I won't get caught short, should my mouse die for some reason.

Awesome mouse! I bought this as I was tired of wires so this is my first wireless mouse - and I love it! It's very smooth and it's the perfect size for my hand (I do have quite small hands though..). The scroll wheel and buttons are really easy to use. The USB connector is really cute and I barely notice it is there. The only thing to make it lose one star is that it does not switch off when my laptop does. I usually only hibernate my laptop, so if I forget to turn off the mouse then a slight touch (usually by the cat) switches my laptop on. Not a huge deal since it does remind me to switch it off, but it would be nice if it did it automatically. The switch is also quite small and I'm always worried I'm going to break it.I don't regret my purchase though, and that's only something small. Well worth the money I paid for it. :)

Having just bought a Laptop Tray which means the mouse must be used very close to the Laptop itself, I found that the wiring of the mouse was constantly tangling and often getting in the way of easy use. Being a bit tight with the money I don't like to throw anything away when it still works but decided to bite the bullet and buy a wireless mouse. So glad I did. I actually bought this particular one because it was just over a tenner and therefore qualified for free delivery. It arrived fairly quickly and it really was plug and play. I whipped out the tag that prevented the batteries (supplied) from engaging, plugged in the tiny USB receiver and hey presto the little arrow appeared and I was up and running.............and no longer in danger of strangling myself with unwanted wiring. Very responsive and comfortable to use.

I've got two bluetooth mice and neither of them worked properly. One started creating double clicks whenever the mouse button was clicked once, the other one had the opposite problem - didn't generate clicks at all. This Logitech mouse isn't bluetooth so needs its own wireless device (which is genuinely plug and play), but has worked very reliably for a long time, far longer then either of its predecessors.I also have a Logitech wireless keyboard (which I'm using now and which is also very reliable). They were both supplied with a 'unifying receiver' which I believe is supposed to allow you to use multiple Logitech wireless devices with a single receiver. This didn't work and I've had to plug both receivers into the USB hub, which is no great problem apart from the fact it takes up another USB port.

This is my 2nd Logitech M185 mouse. My first met an untimely end in an unfortunate accident when I dropped my laptop and the USB receiver shattered. I had no hesitation in ordering the exact same mouse however, as the previous one had lasted me around 3 years and I was more than happy with its performance. The mouse comes with a battery supplied (standard AA battery and I find the battery life good) and you can store the USB receiver in a small compartment inside the mouse itself when travelling which is handy. The size of the mouse is great, the responsiveness is great and it is plug and play. If you’re like me and just use your computer for basic things such as Word/Excel and browsing the internet, this is perfectly adequate, functional and a good price.I would happily recommend.

Bought this as I wanted to swap out the black/grey M185 mouse that came with my Logitech MK270 wireless keyboard and mouse set, for one with a bit of colour.Unfortunately, even though the mouse is the same model as the one in the package I bought, it doesn't connect with the USB receiver. After a bit of googling, it turns out that it is a bit of a loner and is purely for plugging into a laptop to save using the tracking pad.I did read that it is compatible with the Logitech Unifying USB receiver but I cant confirm that personally. It's still a good little mouse and handy for sole use with my laptop.Only gave it 4 stars because it's a bit scratchy used on a wooden desk without a mouse mat.Not a huge problem as my black/grey one does the same but can be a bit irritating.

Excellent little mouse for the price. As delivered this version is pretty accurate and fast (speed can be controlled by Windows anyway). A little small in big hands but ideal for laptops etc. The nano-transceiver is very small indeed and could possibly get lost in transit. However, there is a handy slot in the battery compartment to store it when not in use. NB This mouse takes an AA battery (supplied) not an AAA as sometimes thought. It picks up normal mouse controls from Windows almost instantly but note that if it the facility is not already set up the double-click facility on the scroll wheel will not be available. This can be corrected by downloading X-Button Mouse Control (free) or similar, then you have all the facilities of a good wired mouse.Happy to recommend.
