I bought this to replace a similar, much-loved Gamekraft gaming mouse I bought 7 years ago, as the dongle finally disintegrated, and they were no longer being made. I spent a long time researching and reading reviews, and tried two other different models/styles of mouse, (including an expensive, Logitech super-ergonomic one), both of which, for various reasons, had to go back, before settling on this.I have fairly large hands for a woman, though not enormous, and this fits me perfectly, though I think it would also suit larger hands than mine. It feels very good in the hand, though it's a little on the heavy side, compared to my previous mouse, due to the two AA batteries.(The old one could use either one or two, depending on preference.) Not a deal breaker, though. I think it is misrepresented at 10.5cm long; it's just over 11 cm.The wireless connection was quick and simple, and it hasn't needed to be reconnected since getting it, two and a half weeks ago. The action on the screen is excellent, and the scroll wheel has just enough notchiness to give tactile feedback as you scroll, without feeling too juddery. Some of the answered questions have said this mouse has a quiet click. It doesn't. If you want it to use at night without disturbing someone else, you'll need to look elsewhere. (And if you're a gamer living with other people, and play very clicky games, do please, for the love of god, buy a silent mouse!)I've also experienced a fair few mis-clicks, when you think you've clicked - it certainly makes the clicking noise - but the click hasn't registered. I'm not completely happy with that, but I'm putting up with it because my biggest need was for a mouse that is comfortable with heavy use, and which moves well, and this is, and does. Very much so. However, if you care less about comfort and really need a mouse that never mis-clicks, buy a different one. (Or possibly switch the dongle to a USB port on the same side of the computer as your mouse hand.)The mouse glides nicely on the surfaces I use it on, most frequently fabric, (dark sofa/light bed sheets), and I've never had a problem with the cursor tracking on these surfaces. I haven't used a mouse mat since I bought my first optical mouse, 9 years ago. A blonde wood desk also works fine, though not glass.I'm using this with a 2 year-old Windows 10 laptop, but have also tried it with a 9 year-old Macbook Pro, (running El Capitan), and both are fine. If you find the cursor less than smooth, just go into your computer settings and adjust it from there. The two thumb buttons won't function on a Mac, but they seem to work well in Windows and are well positioned. The main (rear) thumb button is textured, so you know without looking which is which. Other reviewers have mentioned Steermouse for Mac, if you want to use the side buttons, or to program them to a specific function, and there is also something called Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center available for download for Windows users, which apparently does the same thing. There are also lots of videos available on how to reassign mouse buttons.Sleep mode. I've used a mouse with this function for years, so it didn't take any getting used to, and I like it a lot. (No real learning curve the first time either, so I don't know why some people don't seem to like it.) I find the mouse wakes straight away when I move it; I don't seem to need to click. I think it goes into a slightly deeper sleep if I don't use it for a longer time, but by then my laptop is sleeping too, and that takes longer to wake than the mouse does. I also very much like that there is an off button, so you can travel without needing to take the batteries out. Can't comment on battery life yet as I've not had it long enough, though previous experience with this type of mouse suggests it will be at least a few months, even with my crappy rechargeables. In summary, I like this mouse a lot. It's supremely comfortable, and very smooth. I can go all day and half the night with this, and frequently do, without any hand or wrist discomfort. It loses a star for the occasional mis-clicking, (which didn't happen with my previous wireless mouse), but not for the noisy buttons, as it wasn't advertised as quiet. Oh yes, and I paid £7.99 for it, with Prime delivery, which is extraordinarily good value for money.EDIT: My rechargeable batteries lasted just two days short of 3 weeks, ie. 19 days. OK, so they're a bit old, and I'm sure brand new, super-longlife batteries would perform much better, but I was expecting a bit longer than that after the massive claim of 30 months. I used to change them once a month, (using one battery only), with my previous wireless mouse, which got exactly the same amount of use. Oh well, I still really like the mouse!

I originally bought one of these for my tablet quite a few years ago. This is the one on the left in the video. It is good in most areas, other than the scroll wheel squeaks often at times. Though it wouldn’t at the time I did the video. It does however still have a problem in that the scroll wheel is loose and wobbles side to side as you can hear in the rattle. Annoying when doing sudden mouse movements. The left click also feels like it has a partial click before you actually click activate it. It is just slightly loose, but this isn’t too much of a problem.Thinking these were just flaws with this as a one off, I bought another for my PC some years later (about a month back at the time of this review).I will start off with the improvements. The buttons on the side stick out further and are less effort to press and have a more satisfying click. The right and left click although sounding a little different felt fine to use. The negative differences were obvious though. The scroll wheel is so noisy compared! It doesn’t squeak but it doesn’t click smoothly or quietly. And depending on what position it is left in, the mouse can rattle incredibly badly even when doing gentle changes of direction when not touching the wheel. Yet another negative is that the sensor underneath makes the mouse move quite a lot to the left when lifted to adjust your hand. The old one did this, but not to this extent. The scroll wheel was so rattly on this that I asked for a replacement, and did get very quickly. This one had a perfect scroll wheel. The mouse won’t rattle no matter how vigorously you shake it. The sensor is also better although still tracks a bit too far off the mouse mat for my liking compared to the old one. The side buttons are also good on this, but then comes the problem with this one too. The clicks sound so different and the right click is the loudest I’ve heard from any mouse. I did a modification as the picture shows and that is the mouse that I’ve been using for the past month or so. The other slight issue this one has is that the right click isn’t flush with the darker plastic edge. It overhangs a bit and that feels pretty sharp to the touch, but I can accept this for the price. It is a real shame that the quality control is so bad. These mice are all the exact same product and the scroll wheel is different on all of them as well as the feedback of the buttons. In terms of design, it is almost as comfortable as the logitech M705, and other than the lack of a freewheel/ratchet and sideways click scroll wheel, this is basically the same as the M705 in terms of shape. Just slightly less right hand oriented. The height, width and length is pretty much identical. It lacks the rubbery fell and just has soft touch plastic, but for 20 – 25%% of the cost, I think that is acceptable. The fact they are all differ in different areas is just frustrating as it proves the brand is capable of making every part correctly, but I haven’t been lucky enough to get one. The reason why I give it 4 stars is because there is a chance that you could get one with everything correct. And in that case, it really is great value.A few other notes about the mouse:I do like that it takes 2AA batteries. It lasts for ages. Nearly 2 years with decent alkaline batteries. It is rather back heavy, but I find the shape good enough not to lose grip of it when lifting. One annoying area is the 5 minute sleep function. It wakes up by any button or the scroll wheel clicks, but why can’t just moving it wake it up? Logitech managed this with their mice fine. With this, you just need to get used to always clicking a button to wake it. Can be annoying at times. The modification I did on the latest one is enough to put up with it, but I’m still looking for another better mouse. I added some electrical tape and applied a bit to either side to stop the buttons springing up so far and being so loud. But I really would be happy with this model of mouse if you could get one that has been put together well, which in my case seems hard to get.

I was looking for a mouse for use at work, with slightly more advanced features than my work mouse, but also something that wouldn't break the bank. This mouse is perfect for those reasons, and then some. I hadn't heard of TeckNet before so thought I would give this mouse a go, only to find myself utterly convinced. Here's why:Plug and play - Some devices are advertised as 'Plug and Play' only it transpires that you have to download drivers/firmware etc. Not this mouse - it genuinely is a case of add the battery to the mouse, plug in the nano USB receiver, wait a minute or so for it to fire up and you are up and running. I don't even remember having to synchronise the connections, although you can of course do this via the obvious 'connect' button on the rear of the mouse should you need to.Nano USB receiver - This is so small and unobtrusive I can barely believe the technology behind it. This is particularly valuable for my work laptop which travels a lot - I can just leave the nano USB plugged in without any need to carry cables etc around the country.Side buttons/scroll wheel - If you haven't used these before, prepare to be amazed. I was hoping for two side buttons which would let me go 'backwards' and 'forwards' between pages on the internet. Not only do they do that - automatically, without the need for additional button programming! - they also have similar functionality on Powerpoint presentations, which is invaluable for me. The scroll wheel works as you would expect, but actually feels quite sturdy as opposed to some scroll wheels.Ergonomics - One of the reasons for replacing my work mouse was that it simply wasn't comfortable. This mouse is, and the rubber feel on the side of the mouse adds to that. The slightly longer left mouse button compared to the shorter right hand mouse button is also extremely comfortable for me as a right-handed person. I'm not sure how a left-handed person would deal with this; I don't know if a left-handed version is available or not.Lightweight - With only one battery powering it, this feels much lighter than other wireless mice I have used in the past. It doesn't feel flimsy though; it feels like it will last.Frequency - I have only tested this in a room that's about 10m long, but it worked perfectly on the wall, on the floor etc, when I was quite some distance from my laptop. I have no actual reason to do this and was just playing around before delivering a presentation - but it's further validation that everything this mouse claims to do, it does.Colour - It even looks nice, with a classy black/grey/orange combination. So that was how I felt after a week or two when I bought this mouse for work a couple of months ago. After another couple of weeks I felt compelled to buy another one for use at home, that's how good the TeckNet M002 is.Value - If you follow the price on some Amazon price trackers you'll see that it has occasionally dropped below the £10 mark. I paid around £13 on the basis of the customer reviews, and I still consider this to be an absolute bargain.Seller - Mine came through BlueByte, who I assume are affiliated with TeckNet in some way. Either way, each product arrived extremely promptly and I had no need to contact BlueByte about anything, which to my mind is the mark of an excellent seller and an excellent product.Quite frankly, everything about this mouse is awesome for the price. If you want a special gaming mouse that you feel proud about paying over £100 for so you can show off to people, well done, you have more money than sense. For those of you who have more sense than money, this is almost certainly the mouse for you.

This TeckNet M002 Nano Optical Wireless Mouse is the best mouse I have bought. The specifications of the model sent by TeckNet are in fact better than the description on the Amazon website and as provided by the ASIN link above. According to the clear and comprehensive instruction leaflet that came with it, the mouse I received supports FIVE levels of DPI (not limited to three); it supports 800/1200/1600/2000/2400 DPI. You press the DPI button to move between these levels. This means that on the higher settings it would be fine for gaming laptops - and as such it is very good value and of a high specification for the price. The default DPI setting the mouse came with seems fine to me - I haven't had to change the DPI as the mouse cursor moves comfortably and responsively across the screen at this setting. I have never found it neccessary to fiddle with DPI settings - and I am not sure I would notice the difference unless I was using a high-end game, when you might want to try it on 2400 DPI or if your PC screen is extremely high resolution. The TechNet M002 feels solid with good reliable click actions on all buttons. It is also a very comfortable ergonomic fit for the right hand. (I am left-handed but taught myself to use a mouse in the right hand some years ago – and I now find using my right hand for the mouse completely natural. This mouse is not really the right shape for left-handers.)The TechNet M002 takes one AA battery which will last up to 18 months, obviously depending on usage. This is better than the two previous mice I bought from other suppliers, which take two AAA batteries that need changing a lot more frequently than this. There are several great advantages with this type of nano optical wireless mouse. The nano receiver is tiny and fits snugly in a spare USB port. It is so unobtrusive that you can leave it in the USB port all the time, even inside a laptop carry-case, without worrying that the little receiver might place strain on the port fitting – it just doesn’t stick out far enough to do any harm. (Compare this with the large USB -plug-ins that used to come with mice – at least the size of a flash drive and easily knocked if moving the laptop around).Another advantage of this type of mice is that it connects easily, automatically and reliably with your laptop first time, unlike Bluetooth mice, for which you have first to make sure that the Bluetooth is switched on and that the Bluetooth mouse is ‘discovered’ by your laptop. My advice is to avoid Bluetooth mice – they are unreliable and fiddly to install on your PC.A third advantage is that nano optical devices like the TeckNet mouse are wireless – so no connecting the mouse by wire to a USB port is necessary - while they perform as well and are as accurate as wired mice. The TechNet mouse was delivered promptly the next day following placing the order, and I like the fact that though the mouse is manufactured in China, it is supplied by a UK-based company which offers an extra six months warranty on the 18 months warranty that comes with the mouse as standard, if you register your purchase with them. All in all I am very impressed with this mouse – and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who want a decent, reliable nano optical mouse with good specifications at a very reasonable price.

This is the first mouse in years that I have spent over £10 on; you don't need to spend any more on a basic cursor, unless you're a gamer (and hence need macros). It's large, but also fairly light and it isn't a drag (pun intended) to use.I have fairly large hands so I adjusted to its use quickly, but the fact of the matter is that if you are struggling to move the cursor efficiently, you can just press the DPI and that makes it far more responsive. I would suggest also changing the 'mouse speed' settings withing windows to find the perfect alignment.Aesthetically, I don't see what the other reviewers are complaining about: the rubber edges are both pleasant and practical (those who suffer from sweaty hands as a result of intense FPSs will appreciate this feature)and the lighter 'go-fast- style strip at the top looks perfectly in keeping with the product as a whole. The buttons are not difficult to press, although that's not to say that they are particularly flimsy, rather that they are well-designed, as indeed are the back/forward buttons which on some mice are damn near impossible to avoid pressing accidentally.I have rechargeable batteries in the mouse (in anticipation that it would fail) but so far I haven't needed to recharge them. Also, I can't comment on the range of the wireless above ~4 meters, but within that distance it works beautifully, albeit when the mouse hibernates it takes around half of a second to register the receiver again; nothing too disruptive when working on two screens with two different design programs from the comfort of the sofa :)And yes, like some of the other 5 star reviewers, I have dropped it on the floor, but only once (yes, by accident)I suppose the instructions could be better printed, but it's a mouse, not a rocket. All in all, I have only great things to say; I have yet to encounter any of the cons people mention and I'm very happy indeed with the product: I've recommended it to a friend who finds it impossible to use the trackpad for games but needs something wireless and portable for the laptop. I also have another mouse which is nearing the end of its life (I had to open the plastic - the middle wheel is now outside the cover, hehe) so I will be looking to TeckNet again soon.EDIT: 06/08/2013When attempting to migrate the mouse to another pc, I discovered that the receiver was firmly lodged in the back USB port and could not be removed without destroying it. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful in replacing the receiver; I'm glad to say that their customer support is laudable.

Although I have just purchased this mouse recently, and have only had it for one day, I can safely say, it is worth the money, and trumps any other mice within the price range, as well as those that are more expensive.Firstly, delivery/service. This item is fulfilled by amazon, so delivery is prompt and reliable as expected, especially if you have amazon prime, like I do currently. The amazon packaging itself seemed a bit excessive, and wasteful considering the small form factor of the actual box the mouse comes in, but it is all easy to handle, and can be recycled anyway.Setup is incredibly simple - it's simply plug and play, as long as you've put a fully charged AA battery into the easy to open (with a finger)compartment. All the buttons instantly work, and the first thing I noticed compared to my old microsoft wired mouse, was that the DPI (Sensitivity/smoothness of the mouse for those of you who aren't aware) is really good. The mouse moved smoothly across my wooden desk, as well as my parquet flooring; it even worked on my bedsheet, surprisingly! The range is also incredibly good - I can use it several metres away, even when the nano receiver is stowed away behind my desktop. If you're concerned about interference with multiple wireless devices/keyboards from different manufacturers, it is fine, and it works perfectly well. The mouse itself looks very good (I recommend the black - gloss version) and is built well. Buttons are clicky and responsive. My only wish is for a larger scroll wheel, however, don't take this for a criticism, as it is just a pet peeve. Overall, I have quite large hands, but it fits comfortably and slides around really well regardless.Another bonus is that the sensor does not emit any light like most other optical mice, so is good to use if you're not disturbing anyone. With that in mind it will also probably be quite suitable for those travelling and using it with multiple devices as it is compatible with all of mine, and has a very small, yet still useable form-factor.Only thing I cannot confirm at this point is longevity and the battery life that they claim - these are variables that are obviously subject to each individual unit; regardless, I shall update if I see anything.Overall I'm very impressed in all areas:Design 5/5Connectivity 5/5Sensitivity 5/5 (DPI levels are very good, I use it at 1000, but 2000 is very responsive!)Delivery/service/packaging: 5/5 - although, I just wish amazon would do something to help the environment :P

I purchased this mouse in April 2016 so I have roughly had it 8 months now. I originally purchased it to use at work as I got fed up off carrying a corded mouse around with my laptop to meetings and couldn't be bothered to go through the rigour of trying to get IT/management to approve a cordless mouse. I therefore wanted something cheap but yet still served my purpose. This was perfect. It's almost as cheap as a corded mouse. The quality is good (for the price) and it looks okay. If you don't use the mouse for a while it goes into sleep mode and you only have to click once for the mouse to wake up again (which it does relatively quickly).Like with most wireless mouses & keyboards it has a place to keep the usb adaptor and I have found it conserves the battery well. The on/off button on the bottom of the mouse looks a bit cheap but it's underneath so no one can see that.Advice to Raspberry Pi users:Recently I tried using it with my Raspberry pi 3 which I just bought. It was extremely laggy. I managed to fix this with googles help. All you need to do it turn polling off from the console. To do this open the software 'Terminal' and type in the following command (Without the inverted commas): 'sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt'Then add the following text in the inverted commas below on the same line of the other text and commit the changes: 'usbhid.mousepoll=0' Then make sure you restart the Raspberry Pi and it should work.In conclusion, I would recommend buying this mouse if you are looking for a cheap mouse for general use. In fact I am going to buy another one so I have one dedicated for my Raspberry Pi.-------Update: Downgrading my review to 4 stars. Whilst I think the product is great unfortunately it conflicts with the wifi on my laptop. I've read the technical manual for the mouse and it mentions that it can interfere with other wireless devices. My internet has been extremely slow on my laptop for months and I've just figured out it's because of this mouse. I've read that changing the channel on the router will solve the problem but unfortunately the router I mainly use my laptop with is at work so that's not possible. It's a shame you can't change the frequency that the mouse operates on.

I bought the Tecknet mouse in January & it cost me the princely sum of £9.97. I know there are a lot of bad reviews out there, & I read most of them before purchasing the mouse. Mine is a good one: It hasn't caught fire yet, as one reviewer commented, nor has it been problematical in the least. If any faults show up, I shall update this review. It is very comfortable to use: there is a thumb recess which right-handed users will probably like. However, left-handed users will most probably not like this feature. I have a small hand, but although the moulding seems big, I think that it's just about the right size.I use a programme that I downloaded from howtogeek.com that allows users to personalise any generic mouse to their own needs.I have programmed the thumb-wheel depress function as 'double-click' & two amber-coloured buttons by the recess as 'volume raise & lower' One nice touch is the button situated beside the wheel which can vary the DPI of the mouse: great idea for gamers who like to adjust the pointer speeds (3 speeds are available). The build quality seems fine, too. The plastic is of a good standard, without the usual flow-marks that indicate poor quality. My Logitech mouse cost a lot more than the Tecknet & is of much lower quality, with decals & paint coming off after a few weeks of use.I also use a rechargeable battery, & the lower voltage of this does not have a detrimental effect on performance. Tecknet claim about 18 months battery life for the mouse, but I can't verify that yet. It does, however switch itself off when not in use & is woken by pressing one of the buttons, which will help to conserve the battery.Range is good, but for best results the dongle should be placed in line-of-sight of the mouse. For example, I get better results when the dongle is plugged into a front USB port rather than a rear one where the PC frame obstructs the signal. I have other mice(?) that have the same trouble, so it's not a fault of the Tecknet one.I can't find any negative comments to make about the mouse: It's well-made & functions very well indeed. In fact, I like it so much that I have ordered another one for use on my netbook. Recommended.

Previously I had a couple of disappointing mice (three including the one that came with the PC) and when my then mouse packed-in, about eighteen months ago, I partly felt I was probably repeating a mistake by buying another cheap mouse and really should shell out for an expensive one. However, it had good reviews, so I took the gamble.Turned out I had nothing to worry about, this is an outstanding mouse.First of all, the makers don't describe it as 'ergonomic', but it much better deserves the title than some mice that are described so. The overall shape of it, higher on the left and sloping slightly to the right, fits under my (right) hand perfectly. Other mice have made my hand suffer a bit when I've had to do a lot of 'mousing'- not a problem with this one. My middle finger rests naturally on the scroll wheel, but it's not over-sensitive so I never depress it accidentally. The right-hand side is hollowed inwards so that my thumb rests naturally beneath the two, 'back and fore' buttons - and like the scroll wheel, these are not oversensitive - so it's pretty much impossible to press one accidentally, yet it takes only the slightest movement of the thumb when you want to press them. It all just fits naturally in the hand and I suspect that the designers really did their homework on this one. There are three, small, raised, hard pads on the bottom that mean it slides silently and perfectly smoothly over my mat.It switches itself off if not used for some minutes, but I soon got used to that and now it's not at all a problem.I can't speak for the battery life as I've never kept track, but battery changes seem few and far between.I was so impressed that six months after buying it I ordered another specifically for my travelling laptop - save swapping the little receiver back and fore. The receiver is small and unobtrusive and robust enough that I can leave it in the laptop permanently and it's not come to any harm yet. Meanwhile, the first mouse is still working perfectly after eighteen months.

I bought this as a secondary mouse for my HTPC setup. This is the only wireless mouse that has the back and forward buttons and has the ability to change the dpi settings while still being incredibly reasonably priced. Many other wireless mice that have these features cost much more than this mouse. This is what won me over and I am glad I made the purchase. The mouse works pretty much on any surface so it is great for a HTPC setup. It is not amazingly precise however (especially if your using it on a sofa or even your lap) but I don't think one can complain too much about that. If you use this on a wooden desk or a mouse pad the precision level should suffice for most.I never had any connectivity issues with the mouse just set it and forget about it. The battery saving features work great and you won't have to manually turn the mouse on and off every time you want to use it.Because the mouse likes to save its battery it goes on a 'sleep mode' when not in use for a time (around 5-10min). This results in a small delay (about a second) for the pointer to respond when you use it again and often requires a click for it to respond again. For me though this isn't too annoying and actually every time it happens I know the mouse is just conserving its battery and I would prefer this over a wireless mouse that constantly drains out the battery. Also I think they went overboard with the ergonomics. It fits the right hand well but when dealing with uneven surfaces (like using it on a sofa) or when trying to use it with the left hand (when eating) it is a little bit awkward. If you are a serious user I wouldn't recommend this as a primary mouse simply because it doesn't offer the level or precision for serious work or gaming. But for a HTPC or casual setup this mouse is perfect. Even though there are cons I am still going to give this mouse 5 stars because the price is just simply amazing for something like this.In short, if you need a decent mouse that works well and is priced well, this is it.

Bought this in August last year, in purple, from seller SPEEDY GOAL LIMITED and it was perfect until it suddenly stopped working - less than two months after I bought it. Needed to change the batteries a couple of times in that time, also. It performed great though, much better than the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 that I had at the time, and was looking to replace because it was so awful. Before buying it, I read both positive and negative reviews, so I knew other buyers had their mouse cease working after only a short time. I was hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones, and mine would last. Obviously that didn't happen. It's unfortunate that it broke so quickly, because I apart from that I would have nothing but good things to say about it.However! I liked it so much that in April this year I took a chance and bought another one, this time in grey, from a different seller (Hippidion.Store) and eight months later it's still going! It's performs even better than the last one.Good points:Easy set up, just plug in the receiver and off you goBrilliant performance - completely smooth, as well as fastLong battery life (in the current version I have, at least), even with hours of daily useFeels great - material doesn't feel cheap and the rubber on the side doesn't show any wear after eight months of daily useGood weight - not too light and flimsy, or heavyPerfect size - It's a MEDIUM-sized mouse. I've found it extremely difficult to find a good, medium-sized mouse, that's comfortable to use and rest my hand on. I have quite slender hands, and find most mice are either too small (like every 'mobile' mouse I've tried) or too big and clunky (like some gaming mice).Great price!Cons:Evidently it's a hit-and-a-miss as to whether it will last more than a couple of months.Overall I'd say it was worth taking a chance (twice!) for this mouse. Best mouse I've ever had, so far.

A breeze to install on my Windows 7 64 bit Acer laptop: Installed 2 AAA batteries in the mouse, removed the wireless adapter from the slot in the base of the mouse, installed it to a standard size USB socket, Windows automatically installed the driver and the mouse was up and running within a few minutes. The size is probably perfect for ladies or guys who like myself who have smallish hands. The wireless adapter is very small and can probably be left in a laptop permanently.5 Buttons total with the usual left, right and centre click/scroll plus two buttons on the left side for page forward and back. The left and right buttons are glossy so they're going to show finger marks and the centre wheel,rear-top and sides are rubberised. The page forward and back buttons are nicely placed for clicking with the thumb while avoiding accidental clicking. The dpi button on the top behind the scroll wheel doubles the pointer movement speed or alternatively halves it if the fast speed has already been selected. Overall this mouse looks and feels a lot more expensive than it actually is.In operation I can't fault this mouse. I've run out of surfaces to try it on, even tried it on my black jeans clad leg and it works perfectly on all surfaces without a mat. The buttons give a positive click and a hollow plastic sound when pressed and double-click is also faultless. The click is louder than on other mice I've had and could be annoying after a while but is perfect for anyone like myself who like to know when they've clicked on something. The mouse automatically turns off when not in use and turns back on instantly at the press of one of the buttons.I don't very often give anything a top rating probably because I'm the original consumer from hell. But this mouse deserves 5 stars and whoever designed it gets 10 stars! Highly recommended.

The, TeckNet M002 2.4G Nano Cordless Optical Mouse, is very well made & put together, I was very impressed with the price. If you are a (casual gamer) it will suit you well with the added DPI features 1000, 1500, 2000 DPI. Very snappy & precise indeed! Also if you like to not mess around when your on the net browsing, (as its Whooping speed) it fabulous, its an excellent Purchase. Its Nano USB 2.0 receiver, is found clipped inside, underneath the mouse its-self, so remember its not inside the box, and it very smalland could be very easily missed if you did not know where to look, the USB Nano, is pushed up inside the bottom of the TeckNet mouse.very clever design, so if you are going out with you laptop/netbook,just push the Nano receiver back up inside the mouse so it doesn't get lost.Another nice touch is the (on - off switch) underneath the mouse, to turn of when not in use to preserve battery life.I would also like to say if your right handed, the thumb can easily operate 2 buttons, to: forward and back wards webpages on screen, via the mouse.Which speeds up browsing without needing to use the arrow pointer.! important it requires (1) AA x Battery.! (not inside box) buy @ any supermarket! The mouse feels Ace to hold in ones hand, comfy is a better word, with nice grip, I use it on my main desktop PC and plan to buy 2 more at this price. So even tho, its ideal for laptops, its also great for the desktop range too.If your looking for a smart, well behaved mouse, with a USB Nano receiver you cannot go wrong with this model, by TechNet.You will not find a better mouse for the cost here on Amazon, or anywhere else... 'Thanks for reading!' - Hope my 50 cents has been helpful.!

I ordered this mouse to use with my personal laptop which is mainly used for emails, internet, Skype etc.. not work. Selected this mouse because of the reviews and price. The first mouse i received had a fault with the wheel, the spring would click after every full rotation. This made scrolling very annoying. I returned the item and the seller replaced it promptly free of charge. After using the mouse for a few months. Here's what i make of it:ProsMain point is that if you're looking for an everyday mouse, for the price, it does the job nicely.Wireless range is pretty good. I extended my laptop onto my tv and could control the mouse from about 4m away.Fidelity was maintained.Tried the mouse on different common household surfaces and it remained responsive. The side buttons are pretty useful when going back and forth through webpages. Saves a few seconds by not having to click on the back button in browsers or hitting the backspace key.ConsThe mousewheel is probably its weakest point. Not as smooth motion as with other ones i have used. The wheel on the first mouse i received was faulty, the second one worked ok but sometimes difficult to control. E.g. when reading a document or web page and you want to move down by 1 step, it sometimes jumps down a couple of lines. No big deal but can be annoying for some people.Build quality could be slightly better, but for the price i am not too fussed.Accuracy and ability to control the pointer not great if you work on CAD prog or for gaming. I tried it at work for CAD drawings and gave up within 5min.Overall it's a good product given the price you're paying. I would recommend it if you are looking for a mouse for normal everyday use.

This is a great mouse. The aesthetics of the mouse are great, seemingly no matter what color you buy it in. I plumped for the black one, to suit the rest of my peripherals. The black one is composed mainly of piano-finish black along the top, and as a result, it attracts fingerprints easily. This can be solved by wiping the mouse, something which should be done frequently anyway. The mouse is ergonomically pleasing, too. With the large indent where the thumb rest is, it is comfortable to use for long periods of time. The mouse may be a little bit of a problem for those with big hands and have a 'palm' grip on the mouse, as the mouse is not large enough, at least for me, to have that kind of grip.As a result, I have had to adapt to the 'claw' style grip which I find to be equally as comfortable, although some may find it troublesome.Functionally, the mouse is excellent, apart from some problems. The DPI of the mouse is good, and competes with the DPI of the last-generation wired gaming mouses. For casual gaming, this mouse is perfect, but I imagine that for high-end, High poll rate/wired would be needed.I found that the connection between the mouse and the dongle is nowhere near as strong as I thought it would be. Line-of-Sight, the mouse is about 1.5 metres away from the dongle, while going through a wooden desk.I also found that personally, the 3rd mouse button (pressing the scroll wheel) is a little too stiff, and requires some force to push, making my finger tired. This is a problem as the third mouse button appears increasingly in everyday computer tasks.Overall it is a great buy, but it could take some adaptations to make it work for you.
