With a pre-installed long life battery and USB receiver handily secreted inside the battery compartment for safe keeping, this Logitech mouse is ready to go from the get go. The inward curves at the sides make it very comfortable to rest your hand upon and it's functionality as a mouse is excellent. That said, you can buy an equally good wireless mouse for far less than £19.99. So why spend the extra on this?It comes down to the art style employed across the Doodle Collection, which could be summed up as a quirky/surreal/cute cartoon landscape where everything is alive. Across the range of available mouse choices are images of ice creams, trainers, burgers, light bulbs and more, with faces and arms and legs. Described that way, the impression of it all being slightly disturbing may be created but there is a joy and energy to the mouse art itself and additional stickers that come with each mouse that makes it as fun to look and only weird in 'wrong' ways if you are mildly disturbed by, say, the idea of an ice cream cone with a face topped with three scoops of ice cream, each with its own face! And the fact that describing these images makes them sound disturbing just makes me amused by the images even more!Other reviewers seem to have assumed the additional stickers are meant for customising the mouse, but my feeling is each mouse design is probably striking enough in a fun way all by itself and the stickers might be better employed customising your laptop, phone cover and tablet to spread the fun of the art style over your other electronic bits and bobs. The focus in this review on the imagery (which may or may not be telling a story of some kind, depending on whether it makes you smile and imagine or grind your teeth in irritation) is entirely relevant. Why? To buy or not to buy? That is a question of personal aesthetic taste. Ideal for your inner or actual child.

The first thing you'll notice is how easy this product is to get out of the packaging. It comes in a hard plastic shell, which is sealed all the way around. After taking it out of the Amazon box I got the scissors and prepared myself to have my hands cut to shreds as I tried to get the mouse out of the package. I'm pleased to report however, this wasn't the case. On the back of the package is a small window tab which you pull, and as easy as that, you can take the mouse out.Inside the package you'll find a set of stickers (which continue the doodle theme found on the mouse), safety and warranty information, and the mouse. This is a wireless mouse, and you might wonder where the USB dongle is to connect the mouse to your computer. If you slide back the battery compartment you'll find it slotted away inside. I love this design feature. It makes the mouse very portable (you don't have to worry about loosing the dongle), and perfect for laptops.I'm using it on a desktop running Windows 8, and it works perfectly. Installation consists of inserting the dongle into a USB slot, turning your computer on, and, well that's it. As soon as your computer starts the mouse is ready to use. No extra bits of installation faff, just ready to use. Simple and perfect. The design of the mouse features a doodle design on top, and it's attractive and fun. The mouse fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, and is comfortable to use. It has a nice smooth texture, and the wheel in the centre moves freely. It is also very responsive.Everything about this product is well designed. From the mouse to the packaging. The only negative I can think of is, after continuous use the doodle design might wear away (I do hope this isn't the case), but I guess only time will tell.

We've tried other mouse manufacturers over the years but generally tend to come back to Logitech for everyday computer use because they're simple, reliable and...well, just work. When the kids were little they used a mini mouse produced by Logitech and, quite a few years later, are now onto full-size and gaming mice.Having just had a mouse expire, one of my sons was keen to try this fun-looking mouse on his computer. He's into cartoons and doodles and so he really likes the various designs that this mouse is available in. It also comes with an additional 15 "premium" stickers to allow the user to customise the mouse further if they desire. The jury is out on this one for us as I don't like the feel of the mouse so much when it has the stickers on it because it's obviously no longer smooth. This doesn't seem to bother my son at all though, so I guess it's very much down to individual preference. The mouse itself was simplicity to set up as it comes with a pre-installed battery and the computer immediately detected it once the little nano-receiver was plugged in. In use it's responsive and works just as you'd expect a standard all-purpose mouse to work. No complaints here.Overall this is a really nice little mouse which my son loves. Recommended.

I can't find anything really to fault about this mouse and I like that, after all who enjoys giving negative reviews. It's a good solid reliable mouse. The printed design on the top would presumably have to be to your taste or you wouldn't buy it, but I've gotta confess it wasn't entirely to mine. The Doodle Mouse will apparently last up to 12 months with a single battery, which is included in the pack by the way and acording to the blurb, "It works with the operating systems you already use like Windows, Mac, Chrome OS and Linux. A nano receiver responds up to 10 metres (33 ft) away. Rips through web pages and docs with precision scrolling." It certainly plugged easily into our Mac and was super easy to set up.The USB dongle is tiny too, is unobtrusive and easily concealed. It is perhaps a bit pricey for a mouse that is decorated in an obscure design that you can't remove. If it'd been a well know cartoon from a tv show or comic book I could see the reason for the extra cost, but there are many out there for a lot less that are comparable. However, that said Logitech have a pretty good reputation and performance wise this is a great mouse. It performs really well, the question is: would you pay for the extra for the design?

This is a pretty good mouse for a child or possibly anyone with small hands. It's clearly aimed at children with the cartoon character decoration and variety of styles available. For some reason I assumed the stickers that are advertised to come with it are alternatives for the for Sneaker Head character design, while they are actually just a sheet of chibi style stickers that are clearly not intended for use on the mouse. The mouse takes a single AA battery (supplied) and is advertised to last for a year, though obviously this is for 'average' use. Sliding the bottom of the base down reveals the battery and the USB dongle, which is pretty neat and better than some others I've had where the dongle is either separate or clips in externally and soon becomes lost.It paired quickly with both a Windows 10 PC and a MacBook laptop and worked perfectly well with both. It glides smoothly across the desk and both buttons give a reassuring and solid click. Similarly the wheel rotates smoothly and without any wobble and also gives a sold click when pressed. One star dropped for the stickers which are just a gimmick like the freebies inside breakfast cereal but otherwise a good solid mouse.

This mouse replaces my Logitech M330 silent mouse which has started to suffer from some irritating scroll wheel behaviours - sometimes the page was going up when it should be scrolling down. The M330 silent mouse was - as you might expect - very quiet in operation, which is nice when you want to avoid disturbing your colleagues with clicks and scrolling. But interestingly, this M238 mouse is so close to being as silent as the M330 as makes no difference.Something I'm taking a bit longer to come to terms with is that the M330 was exactly the right size for my hand - which isn't that big - while this M238 feels very small to me. My hand dwarfs the M238 when I hold it.The main body of the M238 is white - maybe a slightly creamy white, and the dark grey side panels are a different rubbery material to help you grip. The cartoon graphics on the mouse seem to me to be inspired by Adventure Time. They're harmless and as a fully grown adult I don't mind them being there. The sheet of little stickers is a nice addition and I've used them to punctuate the notes I take at meetings.

Good quality, wireless mouse with an additional set of stickers to customise the outside design but; the design on the mouse can't be removed and the extra stickers are small are only there to enhance the design rather than replace it. To be honest I think they're disappointing. The mouse requires 1 x AA battery which is installed. The nano-receiver is cleverly tucked inside the battery compartment and easy to remove and install. I'm using the mouse on a laptop which runs Windows 10 and it's certainly smooth to track, quiet in use though not silent as the click is still quite audible. Has an on/off switch and coated sides for easy grip. So far I've had no problems with loss of connection and this Logitech M238 works equally well, though no better, than my previous Logitech mouse. Nice size for home or office and small enough for younger people who will be attracted by the vivid design. I'm particularly happy with the user friendly packaging which is a doddle to open up and requires no scissors. Reliable, well made mouse. Happy to recommend.

My kids really love this mouse. It's a wireless mouse and comes with a built in dongle that you plug into your pc. We added ours to an old MacBook air, it recognised the mouse immediately and we were off. The mouse has a middle scroll wheel and left and right buttons. It is colourful and nicely decorated and we found that even on a fairly plain table, movement detection was easy and accurate. The M238 comes with some stickers, which my kids have stuck around the MacBook air screen, I'm less happy about this, but can't blame Logitech. At least the stickers have been good enough for my girls to want to use them. I can't comment on the battery life except to say that after around a month so good. All in all a solid wireless mouse in a colourful package. It will take up one of your usb slots so if you are short of them maybe go Bluetooth.

This is an excellent mouse, unique with a fun and funky design. It is wireless and responds extremely well to all clicks and movements (I have a far more expensive mouse at work which does not respond half as well). It runs across surfaces smoothly and the wheel is almost silent in motion. It fits comfortably in your hand and does not strain your hand, wrist, or fingers in any way. The USB is located and can be stored in the base of the mouse, useful for allowing you to take it with you on the go. It does come with a strip of stickers, if that’s the tipping point for you, which are quite fun and funky.Excellent choice for a mouse that responds quickly and accurately, whilst being fun and individual too.

I've never liked using a trackpad so the idea of a wireless, portable mouse was ideal for me! This product comes with the mouse, a long-life battery and a USB receiver which handily has its own compartment slot hidden next to the battery so there is no fear of misplacing it when it's not in use. The mouse itself is highly responsive and is built in a way so that the mouse curves into the palm of your hand making it very comfortable to use. The doodle design is fun and vibrant and the extra stickers included are a great idea for if you want to further personalize the mouse or stick them to your laptop to match.Overall this is a brilliant product with a really great design which I'd highly recommend.

This Logitech mouse arrives with an AA battery already installed and the USB receiving device stored inside.Installation was simplicity itself and I was able to use the mouse immediately upon placing the USB receiver into my HP laptop running Windows 10.The mouse seems to be well built, feels good in the hand and works without any glitches. If you can live with the decoration/fun design, then you will be very happy with this Logitech mouse. I have not added any of the provided stickers in case they detract from the feel of the mouse in my hand.I have a HP wireless mouse of comparable size/design/price and I honestly cannot find any difference in their feel or usability. Recommended.

This mouse lives up to the colourful and funky picture. The design is intended to appeal to children and adults with young hearts. The addition of stickers enables a bit of personalisation which is unusual in this type of product. It certainly has made an eye-catching addition to the PC at home!It is easy to set up with some very clear instructions included. Perhaps most importantly it functions very effectively indeed. I've had wireless mice before which lag behind your movement and which can be jumpy which is very frustrating indeed. There are no such issues here and the mouse glides across the desk in perfect sync with the cursor. Highly recommended!

A lovely mouse that works very well. It's fast at 1000 dpi. In terms of ergonomics, it's easy to hold and operate, contoured for easy grip. The scroll wheel is nimble, making scrolling through long pages (in Desktop Applications or web pages) all that easy. It only takes a single AA battery though it will take me a year to validate the manufacturer claim that battery life is 12 months. I have assigned this small mouse to my Laptop and apart from being portable it's nano receiver can be left in the Laptop USB port. There are nice stickers included, 15 of them.

14.5.2017

The mouse itself is easy enough to set up. Remove the wireless dongle and place this in you Laptop/PC. Insert the battery in the mouse. You PC should quickly identify and install the required drivers. Mine was pretty my instant so had no issue in this being up and running quickly. Nice design mouse with the 'snazzy' design. Mouse was straight-forward to use and was a nice comfortable fit in my hand. Standard mouse and nice quality build. Considering the price and the reputation of Logitech production I consider this mouse good value for money.

I have only just received the Logitech Wireless mouse and I am very pleased by how quick it came, as it was due for Friday but came a day later which was quite useful. It was very quick and easy to order this and when it came it was in great shape and looked very well made. I have not yet used this mouse, but I have no doubt about it being easy and simple to use! I also recommend this product because it is wireless and not as annoying as mouses that are connected with wires. I can't wait to start using the mouse. Five stars!
